I can answer your question Adam. The reason why you cannot tip credit card in the parks Starbucks is because those are run by Disney and those are Disney Cast Members. The ones in the Springs are corporate owned. In fact, my daughter works at the Disney Springs ones.
The reason you can’t tip at Starbucks in the parks is they are not owned by Starbucks, they are licensed stores and they are CMs who work there. The two stores in Disney Springs are owned by Starbucks and they are Starbucks employees (partners). I work for Starbucks that is how I know 😊
You should go to a running store that analyzes your walk! Then they can recommend the right shoe for you! Shoes only last 300-500 miles ! If you walk or run a lot you need to replace them so you are supported! Great video!

In the parks, all the Starbucks locations are run by Disney themselves, so everybody working there is a cast member. CMs cannot receive tips unless they are specifically working in a tipped alcohol or serving role. Joffrey's will be 3rd party no matter where you go on property.
That's commitment to get a popcorn bucket in all that rain. But $160 for shoes that lasted 3 months, sounds like they aren't made to last and are cheap to make.

I have been to Disney World two times. Both in August as that was the only time available for a family vacation. Both times (different years). Heat Wave Hot and rain with lightning exactly like you just had Adam! Don't know if I will EVER go there again. OG Anaheim Disneyland will never be outdone!❤

No joke, I never wear the same pair of shoes/sneakers every day! I have about 7 to 10 pairs that are my dailies and they are all comfy. Some are newer, but some are almost 10 years old and they have lasted because I won’t wear them daily. All different brands, Nike, Adidas, Puma Etc etc! All different styles like running style shoes to Nike dunks to casual sneakers that looks good with khakis or jeans or cargo style shorts or basketball shorts!

I spent the day in EPCOT when it was raining like that. I used to be a mail carrier so had plenty of experience like that. Not one dog attack on any rainy days, once had 18 dogs try to get me on a single day. I had the dog route in the office. I have a ton of stories about it. I am very picky about the popcorn buckets I get. My favorite is Elliot the Dragon from Disneyland a few years ago then my second is Toothless from How to Train your Dragon Universal Hollywood. This brought back memories, really enjoyed this vlog.
The torrential weather that day reminds me I’ve always wondered about Disney’s decision to build in Florida…I’m surprised not to see lots of umbrellas. I think I see more umbrellas in Phoenix on the rare rainy day!

Would be cool if they had little covered trams that ran the streets of each park in the storms, so they could move people safely to and from a shelter area. Warranty Claims are available on many brands. I know Nike is really popular but they are not the best when it comes to complete orthopedic care. However, no matter the condition your Nike shoes are in, you can exchange them for a complete new pair within 2 years. So if you begin to wear n tear the sole out by walking in them everyday, before the 2 year mark it will be replaced with an entire new pair of your favorite shoes! The North Face does the same thing but not with their shoes. Their gear is life time warranty and can be replaced with a new item because they stand by their craftsmanship. Once the Velcro by the zipper wears off or holes in your favorite secret pocket can be replaced by a new coat. Anywhosies, Best Popcorn bucket ever! 😫

When I go to the parks, I have certain clothing I always wear. I also carry a special quick dry/wicking towel and a fanny pack with a plastic bag for car fob, phone, and wallet. That way when the rain pours I get to do a Gene Kelly like singing in the rain because the water won't bother me anyways.
I was just thinking about the story of the Tower of Terror, was the elevator hit by lightning? I always loved stormy days at WDW, everyone is rushing to the boats or the monorail. We would usually just wait out the storm, and eventually go into one of the rides.

We must have been there around the same time. Wait times were down in HS no doubt because of the storm and Tiana's opening. Got to ride Rise, Mickey's Runaway and Tower of Terror. We waited it out in Starbucks. They were doing trivia and giving out baked goods as prizes. I'd never seen that before. My wife won a smoked gouda and bacon biscuit thing. I have ON trainers and don’t wear them every day but if and when mine get holes in them i’d 100% buy again as they’re the most comfortable trainers I’ve owned, and I need that for dodgy feet so worth every penny.

I don't mess around with lightning. Stationed up in fort Walton Beach at Hurlburt Field AFB and mid 90's we had a thunderstorm and at that time the personal on the flightline did not clear. Well this thunderstorm struck the tail of one of our c130 and there was 4 or 5 mechanics changing a tire. Long story short, 3 of them died from the strike. So I don't mess around with lightning anymore. Not worth it. Florida is also the #1 lightning strike capital in the world also for striking humans. I did like your "if you get struck by lightning in Disney, would you get a lightning lane"? Comment. Even though the thought is horrible it did make me chuckle. My next pair of shoes will be OC, hopefully they will last longer than those did. Surprised they didn't have any kind of warranty and defectmanship cause it didn't look like normal wear and tear. It can be a good idea to rotate shoes especially when they get wet. It gives the midsole and the shoe some time to decompress and recover.

The North Face does the same thing but not with their shoes. Their gear is life time warranty and can be replaced with a new item because they stand by their craftsmanship. When I go to the parks, I have certain clothing I always wear. I also carry a special quick dry/wicking towel and a fanny pack with a plastic bag for car fob, phone, and wallet. That way when the rain pours I get to do a Gene Kelly like singing in the rain because the water won't bother me anyways.

I was just thinking about the story of the Tower of Terror, was the elevator hit by lightning? I always loved stormy days at WDW, everyone is rushing to the boats or the monorail. We would usually just wait out the storm, and eventually go into one of the rides.
I freak'n loved hearing that thunder...... Reminded me of the universal classic Frankenstein.
As far as the shoes. Have you ever tried skechers? I love them and they are much cheaper.

We must have been there around the same time. Wait times were down in HS no doubt because of the storm and Tiana's opening. Got to ride Rise, Mickey's Runaway and Tower of Terror. We waited it out in Starbucks. They were doing trivia and giving out baked goods as prizes. I'd never seen that before. My wife won a smoked gouda and bacon biscuit thing. I have ON trainers and don’t wear them every day but if and when mine get holes in them i’d 100% buy again as they’re the most comfortable trainers I’ve owned, and I need that for dodgy feet so worth every penny.

The people walking around in the lightening and rain are likely English because this sort of weather is a daily occurrence for us and we're used to it 😂
I don't mess around with lightning. Stationed up in fort Walton Beach at Hurlburt Field AFB and mid 90's we had a thunderstorm and at that time the personal on the flightline did not clear. Well this thunderstorm struck the tail of one of our c130 and there was 4 or 5 mechanics changing a tire. Long story short, 3 of them died from the strike. So I don't mess around with lightning anymore. Not worth it. Florida is also the #1 lightning strike capital in the world also for striking humans.

My next pair of shoes will be OC, hopefully they will last longer than those did. Surprised they didn't have any kind of warranty and defectmanship cause it didn't look like normal wear and tear.
