I live in Calgary, Canada....have spent years hiking and Mountaineering in the mountains that are close to me. Now seeing your video, I plan on making my way to Switzerland next year to follow your steps. My girlfriend is with her sister as I write this doing the Haute route, another trek that encompasses the beautiful mountain terrain within Switzerland, Italy, and France....can't wait !

@@LucianoFochi Do you really need crampons on the Theodulglacier?

@@danielduesentriebjunior I recommend crossing the glacier in the morning with micro crampons. To go up you follow the snowcat trail.

Hi! We are doing this tour in July. Amazing video! It gonna be my first ice experience, may I ask you to share your thoughts, please. Was it difficult ? Is a guide needed?

Hi, The section on the glacier is simple, you go up a ski slope that is always monitored. I think the guide is not essential.
Be careful that this spring was very snowy and in July you will still find a lot of snow on the route. Ask the refuges for the conditions of the itinerary. Thanks for watching my video :)

Hey i want to hike it as well! Does the hole Tour takes 6 days im a beginner but really fit? And i wanted to ask If you have to Cross a glacier?

Ciao, yes, you need to cross about 250 meters of glacier elevation. It is a ski slope where snowcats pass through. Micro crampons are sufficient. In 6 days, it's an average of 30 km with more than 1500 meters of elevation gain to cover each day. You need to be accustomed to such hikes even if you are physically fit. I hope I have been helpful. Ciao 😀
