- Camila Cabello is opening up for the first time publicly about the road that led her to "X-Factor." The former Fifth Harmony band member spoke to Access Hollywood's Scott Evans on the first night of live shows for "The Voice," and revealed that she had auditioned for the show in the past. Camila explained that while she did well on "The Voice," she ultimately chose pursue "X-Factor" instead. "I wanted to meet One Direction," she said. "The Voice" airs on NBC on Mondays & Tuesdays at 8/7c.

When you audition for shows like the Voice, American Idol, X Factor etc., you signs a lot of contracts and agreements and she also I’m sure has contracts and agreements she’s signed with her current record label. She probably doesn’t know off the top of her head what details she’s contractually allowed to reveal so she’s just choosing her wording carefully.

Her voice keeps cracking while she’s talking, it sounds like she’s on the verge of tears. Something seriously wrong happened to her during those auditions and she definitely doesn’t want to bring it up. And I think she’s contractually obligated not to talk about it at all.

This is why if you know you are talented and believe in yourself,to always keep trying. It's kind of like every time you call customer service there is going to be a different person answering the phones so if one person doesn't give you what you want I always just call again with hopes that somebody else hasn't had a bad day for the past year.

The voice focuses on bettering the singer as an artist and then take whatever exposure they get and add to that yes winners become successful in their own right but really no A list celebrity global phenomenons come out of the show
X factor focuses on creating superstars it was the right call
