- What bishops wear (or should wear) in a traditional Old Catholic Church. It covers mantelletta, cope, rochet, zucchetto, and more. Priests learn this so that (a) they can be ready for elevation to bishop or archbishop and (b) so they can wag their finger at out-of-uniform bishops. Presenter: Bishop Thomas Hooker.

On the manteletta, it is still used in the Latin Rite, but only by those Monsignors who are titled "Apostolic Protonary de Numero," who would also wear a black biretta with the red pom-pom.

The “Old Catholic Church” is a schismatic sect that does not recognize the legitimacy of the First Vatican Council (which defined papal infallibility). While they celebrate the Traditional Latin Mass, there are many Traditional Latin Mass groups that are in full communion with Rome, such as the FSSP and ICKSP.

There is a possibility that he is a valid bishop from apostolic succession, regardless of his canonical status with Rome. However, his bishopric would be extremely illicit and schismatic.
