The terminology, ‘dark colonial period,” should not be used in reference to Africa. His queen does not want to stay in any of the royal residence is because she thinks they are haunted.

    • @jimduffy7199
      @jimduffy7199 11 месяцев назад

That story about Camilla is utter rubbish. She stays in Windsor Castle, Balmoral and Sandringham. The reason why she and Charles aren't living in Buckingham Palace right now has nothing to do with ghosts. The building is undergoing a £500m long overdue renovation - to replace dangerous 1950s wiring, remove the asbestos used in its rebuilding in the 1950s, add in new fire security into the building (it had been highly dangerous if a fire ever broke out). The entire building is in the middle of a massive renovation that is not expected to end until 2026 or 2027. When the building work is finished, the fireproofing done, and all the asbestos removed, the King and Queen will be moving in, and have made that clear. The White House and numerous other official residence have undergone the same work as they all used asbestos when it was thought of as a wonder insulator and its cancer link wasn't known. As up to half a million visit the building annually, and thousands work there, it had to fixed. The last major renovation occurred seventy years ago.

You failed to take into account the great African empires that were involved in the eastern slave trade with Muslim in Arab countries. You also failed to take into account these African empires to include the Kingdom of Congo, State of Dahomey, and the Ashanti who allowed the Europeans to establish ports and then realized that selling captives to these Europeans, was hugely profitable and began the Atlantic slave trade.

Reparations are a gesture which demonstrates awareness and regret that African were enslaved, trafficked, robbed of their home, families, culture, and wealth in order to make their colonizers wealthy. It is never too late to pay for this crime. Never. Imagine someone robbing you and your family of everything you worked hard to build, then profiting from it as you watch them, walking around, smug with pride, unapologetic and without remorse, as they carry around all of your belongings as if they were the rightful owners.

Look at Asian, they refuse to do that to their own, so they can’t be slaves, or I blame they are way smarter to be slaved… don’t ask others to pay for something that they don’t do in term of generation-wise. I wonder what the native tribal people of North America once controlled by the British Empire would have to say to the Kenyans, maybe something like , "take a number and get in line". The number is too difficult to calculate but from it is believed to be in the 100's of millions of Native Americans killed by Britain alone, not to mention the creation of the slave trade from to North American colonies from Western Africa, which was then handed to the US and continued for almost another 100 years. The British Colonial system did tremendous damage long before the creation of the United States.
The brutality of the British and European Colonial Empires extends for centuries and is global. They controlled nearly 60% of the world by 1920.
Handouts will never alleviate only debilitate, prioritization as Economic partners in trade and investment into their economy is what Kenya should seek. Otherwise get in line, a very long line.
If you want to see the most recent iteration of European and Western colonialism look no further than Palestine.

The African people were not a united group then, and we still aren't united now. Those divisions were what European imperial nations (who were not united either but recognized there was an economic advantage to collaborating to enslave, colonize and dehumanize black people and steal the resources from their lands) exploited. Your "own people" were not really your people. They had the same skin color as you but didn't identify with you. Many tribes and ethnic groups were waring enemies. Just picture the crips and the bloods waring with each other in the hood oblivious to who the real enemy is. So don't continue to dwell on the propaganda of "black sold black" like they try to sell us "black on black" crime like it's justification for police violence and other struggles of black Americans. Recognize who continues to benefit as long as black people continue to fight each other instead of fighting beside one another.

Talk is cheap due to the result of colonial rule in colonialism in general nations and people of Africa, still suffer, still fight with each other, because of artificial lines drawn by others centuries ago. So if you really want to apologize, don’t bring words bring some money. Bring some money to help the people of the nations your ancestors caused harm to. You don’t even have to just drop cash and make it rain. Why not start some programs in these countries where you truly spend a significant portion of your wealth to try and write the wrongs of the past. I know what bring $10 billion with you next time, I’m sure the people of these nations will be much happier with a $10 billion program set up to help entrepreneurs in these countries or a $10 billion program to help build schools for children or to build universities for adults. Spend the money to construct infrastructure for water, treatment, energy distribution you name it just spend some money on these people. I don’t wanna hear your words that doesn’t do anything for them. It doesn’t lift her spirits really.

We like to criticize the Europeans, who came to this land, but we turn a blind eye to the horrors that existed prior to recorded history. We failed to take into account the warfare that occurred between tribes, the selling of captives as slaves and the sexual assault of females from the losing tribe during warfare.
Those who we called American Indians cultivated and raised a plant crop which they used themselves and traded between tribes. They introduced this plant to the new world explorers who returned it to Europe. This crop is tobacco which causes death and sickness up to today.
The STD known as syphilis was unknown in Europe but was widespread on this continent (evidence of bone disease) within American Indian tribes. New World sailors had sex with tribal members, caught this STD and returned infecting Europe with syphilis.
Death and disease is the legacy of the American Indian. Death and disease caused by people around the world using this tobacco product that was cultivated by American Indians. Diseased caused by the American Indians and the syphillis obtained from American Indians and spread by European explorers when they return back home.
BREAKING: New research has found ancient footprints at White Sands dating back to 21,000 to 23,000 years ago which would be long before those people that we call American Indians came to this continent from Mongolia.

From his speech King Charles III truly apologize for wrong things done to the kenyas in the past.
And if you will permit me to quote from the holy book they brought to us in Africa (the Bible) 'Man afflicted his fellow human being with /to his own injury'. But because of the friendly relationship between Great Britain and the common wealth that is now like a family bounded together in one love, I should equally quote from the Bible that says 'faithful are the wounds of a friend'.
So I think we should forgive each other for the wrong doings of the past.
Let us not forget that during the American war of Independence many Americans who were of British Origin were killed. And now both Nations are one of the strongest allies in the world (like one family).
Thanks King Charles III for your wonderful and memorable visit to Kenya. You are a great King. God save the King. I wish you all the best of luck. I love that.
