I agree! When I was thirteen, I used to always jot down terms from books that I didn't understand, and many of those words didn't even have definitions. They are merely written words. What I do now is to always have a pen with me and circle terms I don't know while I read. Afterward, when I'm done or have some free time, I check up the definitions and put them into a flashcard app. Once I am comfortable using those terms, I would try to construct my own sentences. Since all I do in my spare time is read and study vocabulary, I have at least 50 words committed to my brain every day. It can be exhausting at first, but what I really enjoy is the outcome-being able to use those terms in my essays. 😭
It's rarely soemthing that I've been taught by any teacher. But I still love it cause it targets to exceed my knowledge and that's all what matters I presume.

I bought The Subtle Art of Not Giving a f*** after you had recommended one of your videos. I had been reading that book since then, suddenly I realized that I saw lots of new vocab and I gave up reading this book for a while. I will be reading it again after my brain is active or fresh because it is confused to understand completely. I supposed it is because of my English level.
Your smile and your style are always amazing. I will try words that I can use in my life. It is not always easy to find the really important words in a book. It is much heavier to find it in a show or movie. I struggle for years with them. My children are much better at this because she not only had to learn Russian, like me. Unfortunately, also in Russian, I forgot almost every word within 50 years. Thank You for your effort to teach people English.

Its look like very old way, but in my small town its harf to find someone who can speak English even no one.
