Sorry never be the Jam ! Seen the Jam in Dublin 1978 ; all mod cons tour . Brilliant gig . No one can take Weller place . Sorry but that’s the way it is
Me too sa them live the same tour 1978 and fond memories (although fading) but give these guys credit and only saw them a couple of time years back now but did it for me but everyone is different. Never followed anything after the Jam (not that keen on that 82 era if being honest) and never bought a solo record but all the respect for Weller, his vocal now wouldn't fit the FTJ and think Hastings does a good job, a fan who also saw the original band in 1977.
They sound good. What’s the problem? Yeh we know it’s not Weller but Weller isn’t Weller anymore. We’re all running outa runway. Enjoy it for what it is and stop being bitter.
He left 15 years ago. He said this: “I just got fed up with it, it wasn’t going anywhere,” he said. “We were in grave danger of turning into a tribute band to ourselves. When I read that Paul had turned round and criticised it, I thought maybe he has a point! I didn’t want it to become boring. I know the fans loved it and we had a good time, but it ran its course.” Somebody told me he left just because Paul and Bruce became friends again, but I don't think that's quite true.
Driving through long Stratton in south norfolk tonight I was shocked and delighted to see a from the jam crew bus with very cool graphics, heading towards Norwich around 18:15 pm, who was on board and where were you guys heading to? Didn't realise what the vehicle was until it passed me as as I would have been flashing lights and waving frantically!
Great night. Was was near the front. One of the shiny head. The Skids were brilliant

So Rick Buckler is no longer a part of this?
