Thank you for the crisp explanation. During authorization when the acquirer needs to route the token based transaction how is the decision made in the absence of a card bin to route to Mastercard, visa, Amex etc if the TSP is the scheme
Will cover that in next session of Tokenization, however please note there are bins even for tokens
So there is a relationship between wallet providers ( like Apple pay ) and payment schemes (like mastercard).
Yes there is but within payment scheme different entity
Where is 2nd part?
Hi Ramesh, schemes will act as TSP's or we have separate TSP providers ?
Most of the scenarios scheme but in some cases but in some cases it can be any other solution provider
I have seen scenarios where PSP managing the token vault
Yes its possible, I can't take any name here but there are several examples where other than scheme a PSP or any other 3rd party provide TSP solutions
Thanks for the video series. ruclips.net/video/7WuSciFFdnc/видео.htmlsi=yl9jIHs4bkg1I2PT&t=72 - This slide is not really about tokenisation benefits but rather about the benefits of wallets. Wallets solve problems listed on this slide but they can or can not use tokenisation. Tokenisation makes wallets more secure by removing the need for a wallet to store card numbers amongst other benefits. Am I right?

ruclips.net/video/7WuSciFFdnc/видео.htmlsi=c6ICZygKQ31ccUO5&t=941 I think OTP is generated by the Issuer and is validated by the issuer, not by TSP. Basically, the Issuer will tell TSP what authentication methods it supports. TSP will pass this info upstream. CH (Card Holder) will select OTP (for example) and a wallet will pass this downstream -> TSP -> Issuer. An Issuer will send OTP to a CH. The wallet will pass the OTP entered by CH downstream again -> TSP -> Issuer to validate the OTP. If OTP is valid - the issuer will tell TSP and TSP will tell the wallet. A token is now fully operational and can be used by a wallet.
