this song is so special to me. my grandma and i used to watch this ballet every christmas when i was growing up. she passed away a few years back of cancer, but every christmas i remember her by seeing the nutcracker. this song in particular makes me long to be in her arms again. i always thought she would be there one day to see me walk down the aisle but i think with this song it might feel like she's with me that day anyways, at least, in spirit.

My favourite piece from The Nutcracker! Even with the descending phrases, it takes you up to celestial levels. The harp is magical.
