#Zelda #TearsoftheKingdom #Analysis
What was your favorite part of the new Zelda Tears of the Kingdom trailer? I am uploading the full 8K and 4K 60fps trailer tomorrow!
nice man, great finds, etc.. Check out my latest analysis, I think I just uncovered something huge..
Things i noticed: sparkles in Hateno might be twilight flames and everyone is dead. There are no lights on in the village. Monsters have weapon parts on their heads for crafting. Even the hat on the Hinox is probably for a club. The Bokiblins don't stay in a camp. They are stomping around leaving malice everywhere and hunting to kill. Lastly, when the moon explodes, there is a wall that's part of the Plateau that used to have damage and snow. Now it doesn't.
at 1:53 in the original trailer you can see a korok flower spawn in on top the weird rock
Is Age of Clans just a regionally different name that was given to Age of Calamity? I was confused by the name.
It just occurred to me that Zelda falling may be part of a dream that Link has, and it is to be determined if it plays out like that during actual gameplay.
Thank you for this analysis. It provided new insight that I hadn't heard or seen before.
13:20 you can see in the top left corner the spiral cloud witch at the top you can see the deku tree, and if you look at the official art work that is where the korok forest is
Am i Dreaming or is there some Kind of creature in the background at 8:20? Might just be a rock though.
Its like elephant
What I am disappointed about this trailer is the No show of Teba, Sidon, Riju, Yunobo, Kass, Purah, Robbie, and Kass. They better be in the actual game to aid and fight alongside Link against Ganondorf’s growing army.
All dead all rotting
Damn ggs
Can't wait to see what kind of crazy contraptions and vehicles that players will be creating
Link's arm corruption is straight out of Princess Mononoke. Even down to how it occurs, and the way it travels up the arm
Age of Calams is such a terrible shortyhand for age of calamity, Why must you torment us.
I think Ganondorf's voice actor is definitely Matt Mercer. See Pain from Naruto English dub for comparison.
More like angry Levi Ackerman LOL
I think the other scene where Zelda falls into the pit is from the opening cutscene of links nightmare and then the scene of both link and Zelda falling is what actually happened later in the beginning of this game
No…. Zelda falls, link tries to catch her, hand grabs link
@Emilio Martinez, I posted something similar, seems like it is something that is part of a vision that Link has or a dream.
I hope you're correct about the save data from _Breath of the Wild_ carrying over. I've wanted that as well. It would make so many interesting ways to play the game on multiple save files.
Saw a theory in one forum that the horns would be used to craft weapons. Which is why sometimes they look like spears, hammers, forks, swords, etc.
12:37 I'm guessing that's one of those "building pieces" we saw for the craftable vehicles. The hover fans I'd call them
I pray that Zelda is alive… even if the green hand prevents Link from saving her, or breaking Demise’s curse (endless cycle of death and rebirth)
After everything they have been through, the pair had never get the chance to settle down and enjoy peace for awhile.
Ok.. you don't need to pray, it's not real
@ 16:39 there is a lone NPC walking in the field, on the left by the banner (right of the the building). They pop-in for a half-second between 16:39 and 16:40
I have not seen anyone else bring this up, nor any analysis video that has noticed this either. It is the only evidence in any of the trailers so far of NPCs/villagers roaming out in the wild.
This Upscaling shouldn’t be used to find extra detail as it is done by an AI interpolating what it sees.
It doesn’t have access to a 4K version because a 4K version doesn’t exist.
So please do not take this information as evidence as it is unreliable
I will just say that Ganondor's line in the trailer gives *strong* necromancer vibes.
16:06 The three skinny strands in the back right of this shot are super intriguing to me. They stretch the whole way from the ground to above where Link is flying. Could these be waterfalls flowing from sky islands? Or giant towers that Link would need to climb? They don’t look like beacons, they look like something physical like the other platforms and sphere in the distance. Perhaps they mark the edge of the map and show that Link cannot travel beyond those points? They’re interesting nonetheless. That sphere has me intrigued too! Like where the heck did that come from?😂
Hi! Those lines on the ground remind me of the Peruvian nazca lines, they're super similar.
There's still a mystery behind those lines, many dont know how the Peruvian created them 2000 years ago due to their extreme size, whilst others believe that aliens created the, (LOL?). Either way, the style of the Peruvian old civilisations reminds me a lot of totk as well.
The Nazca lines were created by the civilisations to "contact people from the sky."
I don’t know about aliens but many of those ancient peoples had a lot more knowledge of engineering than people give them credit for. There are also more lines across the world besides Peru, there’s lines of a giant man created by Aboriginal Australians.
as an avid enjoyer of Matt Mercer on his show Critical Role - Ganondorf is voiced by him, I am 99% certain.
I did however go back and check king roams voice and - it's possible that it's his voice actor.... but I'm now 98% certain it is Matthew Mercer voicing the English Ganondorf
1:38 That specific glowing mark might be a depiction of the "cave entrance" shown in the very first teaser for TOTK.
14:22 - I think him looking up at his arm like that is when he is first given - 1. the abilities of his arm 2. the task to take down ganondorf 3. given the resolve of either avenging or saving Zelda / what the awakening of ganon cost them. him clenching his fist like that is a asign of resolve - of accepting something, a burden of some sort.
14:45 that is the same mud lake on the great plataeu which had a platform with two chests and you had to move a metal plank to cross it.
i really REALLY with we get epona in totk, but in that scene in the trailer, the horse is wearing the traveler's gear, which we cant put on her... they might have changed that in the new game, or thats just a regular horse :(
you find every detail? you seem to oversee a lot
I have a prediction about the scene where Zelda falls and link grabs her what if the original where Zelda grabs his hand is actually not that falling scene at all and is a fake out her hand is actually going up in the original so maybe it takes place earlier on while they are in the cave and it parallels the scene where they both fall
Link is 100% helping her climb up a wall there, you're right.
Also still think that subterranean location with the mining boko, might be a location linked to the Great Deku Tree. Perhaps a big underground Forest Temple where you both have to find an item and defeat what’s causing malice to (if not dead and gone already) an imperilled great deku tree.
From what I heard, Ganon sounds a LOOOOOT like he’s being voiced by Matt Mercer - he voices Cassidy in Overwatch. Don’t think it’s King Rhoam, they sound too different IMO.
Agreed. It's pretty obviously MM if you've listened to his voice that long lol
90 days can't wait
I hope the game isn’t always super dark. For me that makes a game not as fun when the screen is always basically muted colors like twilight princess
Espero vaya a 900p 60 frames el juego, aunque con la tv que tengo se ve genial
13:50 there is a giant Gear behind her witch looks like the gate of time in skyward sword, witch could mean time travel is a thing!
So, I know no one wants to talk about it, but Ganon was possessed by Zant at the end of TP. Ganons eyes are different from Zants, and Midna confronted Zant making it very clear that his eyes were burning with the lust for power, you could see it in his pupils.
Ganon never really had those glowing eyes unless his power was activated, when we see Zant crack his neck, his eyes are still glowing with the power of the triforce.
I pose this, Ganon isn't Ganon. Ganon is possessed by Zant.
Tears of the kingdom is the tail end of the infinite loop, and will end with a connection to the beginning of skyward sword. Hylia and Zelda will split apart, as will Ganon and Demise, and I'm assuming we'll see links associated God.
15:23 Uhm... the commentary doesn't fit to the video from this point on ^^' I know what you want to tell me since I know this trailer by heart by now but... I think there's some kind of editing mistake ^^'
13:41 I don’t think it is the current BOTW Zelda embracing Hylia. She is more into becoming a scholar like her mother. I believed this new figure in the white robe could potentially be Hylia or a Zelda from the distant. If that person is indeed the Princess who sealed off the first Calamity along with the ancient hero 10,000 years ago based on Impa's Tale), then it can be crucial that elements of time travel is needed for Link to go back in time and learn how to defeat Ganondorf.
His voice is so relaxing. It doesn't even matter what the topic is lol but yes...I love this information and I have the game on pre-order so I'm ready. 😊
I think that section of magma like rock being destroyed is actually the great Goron City statues of the Goron heros. There are some triangular spires on the very top that could be Darunias hair or something.
Ok, sooo I love your videos but I have a lot of things to add ^^; Things to note: In the scene with the bokoblin mining, that is indeed a cave, you can see stalactites in the background. Those blue wisps are very reminiscent of Twilight Princess and are likely souls. That glowing tree like structure is oddly scaley for a tree and has a very different texture than the giant mushrooms in the scene. // In the scene with Gleeok, there is something behind it's tail - it looks like a tall blue tower of some kind in the distance. // In Hateno Village you can see what also looks like a tall blue tower in the far distance (upper middle of the screen, slightly to the left). Also in Hateno village, the furnace seems to be missing at the lab! And there are tents in town! Any why is it sparkling?? I'm really curious about that. Maybe fighting? // HUGE DETAIL: When the malice flies past the moon and is heading down to the ground, you can see a wall of the Great Plateau! BUT! That wall in BOTW is covered in snow and is broken down in multiple places!!!! The wall is now in tact! And not snowy! Is this shot from the distant past?! // In the scene of the ball of bright exploding malice where we can't tell what's inside, it looks like that's at the bridge of Hylia. Not 100% sure but I don't recall anywhere in BOTW with another structure like that // In the scene that shows the Great Plateau again and the Temple of Time, you can see the bridge of Hylia but Gleeok is gone. And it looks like there is snow on the upper parts of the Great Plateau again and the walls are broken down again. This could indicate this is a different point in time (current Hyrule BOTW time) than some of the other scenes. // The scene with Link riding Epona by the floating castle shows that the massive swirling storm is over Hebra Peak and doesn't touch the ground, which is interesting. // The scene where the guardian legs surround Link, they are holding a coil of rope or something and the words translate to "Transport" on the blue circle which someone else mentioned that this doesn't match the Sheikah tower teleportation circles but it does match the Divine Beast teleportation circles! (These could be at the top of those strange towners around Hyrule). I'm thinking this is more of an elevator to go down, possibly underground, since it looks like there is hollow space below the platform I would LOVE if Link could use that coil of rope to make a hookshot. We can build a car. Please, Nintendo, let us build a hookshot! // When the bokoblins are being carried by the amphibian bird-like creature, the ruins you see on the right are Typhlo Ruins! Not shrouded in darkness!!! Since I brought but a cutscene being in the past, it made me wonder if this is current Typlo Ruins that were somehow unshrouded or if they are past Typhlo Ruins that have not been shrouded yet. // In the scene with the moblins fighting Link, there is a massive new skull camp structure on the left side of the screen // In the scene with Ganon waking up - I still wonder why his ears are round but everyone else has pointy ears. In BOTW, the Gerudo have pointy ears but I wonder if that's because of all the intermarrying with Hylians. In Ocarina of Time they (and Ganon) had rounded ears. // In the scene where he's using his power to move the floating rock puzzle (yay gyro controls :/ ) you can see a giant cloud formation in the back left. That might be the giant swirling storm we've seen before but maybe not. I'm not sure. It makes me think of the cloud storm barrier in Skyward Sword. // In the scene with presumably Zelda and presumably Link, the background is shifting all around Zelda! I don't understand it. // The scene of Link floating up to the sky in an air balloon 100% made me think of the little girl at woodland stable who gives Link a quest to make a barrel fly - she asks Link if he thinks that a long time ago people used to live in the sky. She wants to float up to the land in the sky on a balloon then ride a big bird. She also says that only good kids can see the land in the sky. (fun fact) // The scene with the flying hovercraft - you can barely make out the yellow broom (or rope tassel) symbol that is also on the frog-like golem from a previous trailer. I forgot to mention that that symbol was also on the car and its on the new cannon weapon (on the bottom). {Fun bonus theory - The spirit that Zelda is asking to help Link might not be Hylia, but the missing deity connected to Link. Have you thought about how Zelda has Hylia, Ganon has Demise, but who is connected to Link? There is a trio with Nayru, Din, and Farore. Nayru is Wisdom (Hylia & Zelda). Din is power (Demise and Ganon). But who is the missing deity for Farore and Link? - unfounded idea here - Link turns into a wolf in Twilight Princess and has a connection to spirits. The new deity-like creature shown in the cave carvings is very animalistic and never seen before. In the metal case that is part of the collectors edition it shows people underground looking up to this deity. People underground make me think of spirits. As I said. unfounded but it's got me thinking.} Sorry-not-sorry for the info dump : ) I hope you found at least some of it interesting!
Agreed - I also hear King Rhoam's voice in "Ganondorf's" voice. Don't you think that it would be a huge mistake on Nintendo's side to mix these two like this, though? The boss of antagonists and the boss of protagonists?
Aslong as its packed with stuff to do and not just BOTW with sky elements. Im sold. But if its just a DLC size small map revamp. Il be disappointed.
Question, if he can turn back time on specific items, why does he not just aim that power at the master sword? Boom…I just beat the game with logic. I’m officially the first winner of this game. You’re welcome
3:46 that’s probably a blight ganon (i respect your opinion)
Can NO LONGER ignore the similarities between this game and princess mononoke
I don't want Zelda to die. That would ruin the game for me. If she's dead, she can't marry Link. She's my favorite version of the princess too.
*Age of Clams* 🦪🐚
9:38 Up In THe Top Left Corner Is that A Loft Wing?
OMG this is soo much better!. I wish youtube didnt go to shit with the compressions, but now i see how much it makes a difference on here, and i do rememeber at one piont they video quality used to be way better but they eally do not to any favours these days to showing off new video games
Now that it's upscaled, it looks to me like Hateno Village is covered in malice. Makes me think that helping the surviving villagers build a new settlement will be a side quest in the game. Or maybe they'll all just have relocated to other villages, like the inhabitants of Castle Town in OoT.
It’s Link's home. Hopefully, he’ll cleanse it and the town will be reinitiated as travel point. The Tech Lab is right up the road, and Link will need to get to it.
Damn from everything ive seen it looks like theres no dungeons but instead small puzzles and that kind of sucks i hope im wrong though
LETS GOOOOO!!!
Yaaayy I've been waiting for your analysis video!
Thank you. It took a while because I don’t like to upload after a certain time of the day and it took forever to Render the 8K files.
I don't mean to be rude but seriously, why do you keep whispering? Is it something severe?
Hey guys what about the translate of the description in colectors edition? Giant Hugo from argentina
I guess you've never seen princess Mononoke because the main character Ashitaka has the same type curse take over his arm so it's a reference to that not Harry potter
I don't think the shot of Hialeah is holding anyting I think that's just a piece of clothing that she's wearing.
I CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER!
Please do an analysis of the backwards speech at the end of the new trailer!
I can't find anything
My theory on the new sheikah looking towers is that they are to map out sky islands because they have lights that are pointing into the sky
At 1:22 I see another green spiral in the lower right hand part of the screen
That glowing white grass
Is one of the hieroglyph things that are on the grass
Links just riding on it
ganondorfs eyes look just like Majoras eyes, am i trippin?
I think this is my 11th video about this trailer..... I am hype!
You are 100% going to be able to build your own vehicles
I did notice that you can see a person at one of the horse stables towards the end of the trailer
My guess is that Epona is a quest that link finally find and get as his horse
My theorie is that the spirits are dead People that link has to revive in some way
Any chance of making these into some wallpapers
I love the commitment to calling AOC "Age of Clams"
Does everyone notice one of the floating island? Cuz I am sure I spotted Rito Village.
I know which island u mean, the only thing is that the placement seems off. It’s by Dueling Peaks and Rito Village is by Hebra Mountain. Unless they migrated elsewhere once they were in the sky? 🤷🏼♀️
I've been going to places from the trailer. That mountain with a hole in it was protecting Kakariko village from Hyrule Castle direct line of sight!!! It looks like an elevated Hyrule Castle might have lasered Kakariko village through the mountain!!. Check the map in BOTW. If true, that's nuts.
Nevermind. That isn't a hole in the mountain. That is the biggest addition to Hyrule's surface we have seen. It's like a giant serpent behind both the peak left of Lantern Lake and the one between Bonooru's Stand and Pierre Plateau. It's not far behind either. Possibly near where we first encounter Hestu in BOTW.
the hinoxes had that spikey beard hair in botw, too.
I HATED the new trailer, so disappointing, didnt show enough new to justify 6 years and a full blown sequel, didn’t hype me up which is the job of a trailer. I have a theory though.
I think they haven’t shown much because you will actually be traveling to different Hyrule worlds from the different games through portal tears around the kingdom. Its why the game took 6 years to make yet looks the same (so far). The word “tears” is a homonym, doesn’t just mean crying “tears”. Link between worlds had portals. Ocarina had time travel. Aonuma said at the Direct in 2022, you will explore beyond the ground and sky. And he also said the title is a spoiler. Crying “tears” is not a spoiler, but portal tears is.
Yea i agree and notice how in all trailers so far they havent shown the gerudo hebra faron lanayru and eldin region i hope its because their dungeons there but for now all i can do is worry and take copium until release
20:45 Umm. Happy Halloween to you too lol
Mat Mercer voiced King Rhoam?
6:06, I have the bow of light on my wall 😂
I wonder if the little vials are what heal him
I liked the breakdown. Gj
Omg first HMK with “Gleeork” and now you with “Gleerock” hahaha 😂
And the funky looking grass is Link wandering through the weird glyphs on the ground
12:05 note that link’s hand is glowing blue here. His new powers charged up the arrow most likely
where is the full enhanced trailer?
6:40 Thats a herd of moldugas
The small blue lights are the TEARS of The Kingdom !
Tears that Link has to collect if he wants to use his powers.
At 12:37, the new item is a kind of ventilator that Link can use to build flying vehicules !
At 16:16, the stable on the left seems to be destroyed (not easy to see but it's look like that).
The blue fire most likely forms into a Poe. Much like previous Zelda games. The tears were already shown in the wall carving.
a poe or spirit is more likely.
1:22
I think these are just new flying enemies.
Kargaroks have traditionally shown to be avian-like, while these new ones seem more bat-like.
Happy Halloween!
thats so cool
:O I just realised - the green goop! the Hinox had a necklace with some sort of orb - maye it's green goop to upgrade our part capacity when building vehicles?
Gleerock 😂
What a great trailer teaser 😄I didn’t see a stamina wheel, Divine Beasts, Tribes, nor shrines. I see sky, hopefully NO water temple. Can’t wait until the text is translated🤓
17:52 - if you look at links shoulder and chest - there's almost ashy tattoos or markings - which may be similar to the constructs over his arm but that's been absorbed into his body - healing away the malice
Perhaps, in that huge tornado over Hebra mountain, there is a tower in which we will learn 3 songs from Hylia.
I got an ad for Tears of the Kingdom while watching this video! They're finally starting to advertise it!
Voice actor is Matt Mercer, it's not King Rhoam.
Has that been confirmed?
To be technically accurate, Ganondorf is a mummy in the underground shots more so than a zombie.
Well if a mummy came back to life what would it be hmmm???
@@paintfatpurple7394 Still a mummy.
I think the shots from the very first teaser have been changed/reworked. There’s a lot of repeated shots in the newest trailer that point to that.
I do think you might have missed something that adds a clue…in the mining scene, and hateno village there are shimmering blue small flames…the same you see in twilight princess when souls we caught in the twilight, add that to the logo and the bottom half of the master sword…it seems to point pretty hard at the twilight playing some part. Perhaps the zonai were the greatest race of them all and we’re the great protectors with the best tech, and they disappeared into the twilight for some reason and it’s weakened the hold Hylia had on keeping him blocked. Also, Gannon’s chest wound that he exactly received the wound from twilight, princess. There’s just seems to be a lot a little clues a point to that game along with skyward sword. I really think it’s worth looking into.
What it’s feeling like is Nintendo is trying to great a hand masterpiece that locks all those games together in this one game. They’re not showing much of their hand because they are extremely confident in how amazing the game is and no need to spoil. People and word of mouth will do the job and they don’t have to blow more money on useless marketing
Sorry to bust part of your bubble here, but the shimmering/sparkling at Hateno village is visible from the tech lab at night in BOTW. When you fly straight down to one, you see its the ordinary street lamps. Not even the blue ones. I think it has to do with how the light is rendered at a distance.
@@keo528528 Ok, fine…Christ you kids are insufferable. Then cut the hateno village out of my post in that brain of yours….see, my point still stands. So why waste your time making a pointless correction that doesn’t effect my point? I wasn’t focusing the post around the idea of a particular village, there’s an overall idea I’m trying to convey, which your correction had no impact on.
Anyhow, thanks for the correction, I’m probably going to leave it in, because my career is owning a cotton genetics company, and investor of it’s profits. So early hours trading starts in one minute, and that’s a bit more important than deleting something innocuous to my overarching point. But I always appreciate when kids in Zelda threads try to correct me and miss the entire point, almost like you all want to one up each other in your perfect knowledge of the game. That’s cool, you can do that to me, it’s more irritating than anything else. What do I know, I’m an old man at 40, and merely played and beat EVRY Zelda ever made within a months time from each one’s actual release dates. I’m just an ignorant fool. I really should get my old ass out of here.
But! Keep an eye out for the IDEA I’m conveying when the game drops. Have fun playing it! Since I get to work whenever I want from wherever I want, post back here once you’ve beat the game, and then I’ll know I can discuss it with you because I’ll have finished it way before you as I’ll play all day, everyday, or whenever I want if I’m needing to travel overseas and have to miss a couple days…oh wait…it’s a switch, never mind, I’ll have it done two and a half weeks tops.
Look forward to hearing back, but I’m leaving the Zelda community, many of you kids are hard to deal with without feelings a little frustrated. The frustration makes me have to type out these long posts filled with how you’re all off the mark and missing the point. I don’t have the time to waste on something so asinine.
@Throwing Thumbs I'm sorry to hear you've had a hard time meshing with the community. I truly didn't mean to offend. I am insanely excited for the game. I actually had the same thoughts as you. The only reason I know about Hateno is because I investigated it in BOTW to test my theory. I was so happy to pass on my findings that I didn't consider how the tone would come across via text. Again, I am sorry.
Link's curse arm reminds me of Princess Mononoke
Really hoping to get a dual story.
Skyward sword was going to have a playable zelda section but was scrapped for a few reasons.
Botw/aoc zelda wants to help fight or do whatever it takes to protect, fighting with her powers or sheika slate.
Hopefully link will be in the skies and zelda will be underground.
Perhaps after link finishes a story segment, it goes back to zelda, and vice versa.
In the end they meet again.
Link is shown underground.
I always love these videos
seriously, gleok was my top choice of bosses that needed to be in this game...the only difference is that i imagined him having longer necks, but im not complaining
after watching the enhanced footage, his necks seem long enough
