Just don't mix bananas and/or beetroot with the high polyphenol foods of dark chocolate, pomegranate, and berries in a smoothie. Bananas and beetroot are high in polyphenol oxidase that destroy the polyphenols.

8oz black coffee and Pop-Tarts 45-60min prior for me. Works like a charm.

I know that this sounds crazy for most of the people, but my workouts are all on an empty stomach in the morning. Just black coffe before workout and i'm always ready to kill. So after workout I am so ready to eat good and big.

same here. that's because if you're full, then you'll get easily tired because of the comfort to lay down or rest so much to workout on an empty stomach and get hungry later

@@xKJBB23 exactly. Samurais practice that method long time ago, and when they've eat, they always like 60% full because on that way, they never sleepy and always ready for battle. If you are 100% full, you are only good for relaxation. Try it by yourself.

Good stuff! My favorite pre-workout meal 90 minutes prior to training is: 200g jasmine rice, 150g chicken, 3g pink salt, 1/2 tbsp soy sauce, 3-5g coconut oil, and a little G Hughes sugar free ketchup and sweet chili sauce. Intra workout is 1st Detachment Nutrition Field Rations. Great sustainaned pumps and energy for an intense workout.

Good information, but Inot sure how you would implement this into a daily routine. Would love to see a discussion on how that would look apart from eating all day.

I did catch that the study on watermelon indicated that the subjects drank 750 ml of watermelon juice. Since the effect is not acute, I assume that the subjects drank 750 ml per day. That's a lot of watermelon juice!

I can attest to the power of beetroot juice before a workout. The only thing is it takes a couple hours to digest so I would drink it first thing when I wake up. Pre-workout helps me start strong and the beetroot juice helps you finish strong. I only do this when bulking because it’s disgusting (blending actual beets with water not buying a processed drink).

Most people don’t reach 100 plus. Lifting helps keep you active and mobile. Without muscle you’re gonna be that one just sitting in that chair or bed waiting to die
