I always thought Ant-Man should have veered to having Luis take over for Scott Lang after End Game. That would have been awesome. Instead we got more retread Ant-Man in Quantumania. They went with the daughter for young Avengers but Luis was the better choice.

It was Coulson and his team that gathered the intel on the Hydra Sokovia facility of which he gave to Maria Hill and ordered the Avengers to assemble to get it, as well as activated Theta Protocol for Fury and Hill to use the Helicarrier to assist the Avengers.
What?! Shield was on Stark’s side even gave him the authority to arrest Capt, and probably gave him the okay to recruit Peter, which I also why Peter worked with Fury after Stark.
Technically shield wasn’t, they were disbanded that’s why the avengers were in the situation they’re in, because they didn’t have someone to watch them with shield gone.

He did not an organization like UN or a coalition of governments to dictate where the Avengers should or should not be deployed. Although some degree of oversight is warranted, it would make sense for it to be a more independent intermediary. Him compromising his reasoning due to emotions would be inexcusable, but at the end he was saving a framed man from becoming an easy outlet for the emotional frustration of Stark and a scapegoat to inspire legislation. MCU Cap is for the most part a well developed character.
I don’t agree with Cap if we go strictly by the film. Cap is arrogant and can’t even consider the possibility of being wrong. The only person actually speaking logic in CW was Natasha. While Cap was just self-righteously refusing any idea that they need oversight, and Tony was willing to sign anything because of his own guilt, Nat was basically suggesting the concept of the social contract. Give a shred of freedom willingly, and retain a majority of it and keep trust. If the Avengers sign the contract willingly, it showcases trust and reasonability which in turn will make their voice more powerful when making decisions. And if it really comes down to something the UN doesn’t like? Just break the rules then. I mean, it’s not like the UN can just stop the Avengers. What are they gonna do lol? If it really came down to it, they could break the rules later and use the inevitable public success to push the UN to not punish them. With that said, I go full anti-Accords when you start bringing in Agents of SHIELD, because there we learn it’s not just oversight for the Avengers, it’s a full registration of all powered people. Which, NO. There’s like 10,000 X-Men comics all showing how that’s a terrible idea and a huge infringement of civil rights.

People forget that this was the time that Sony and Marvel had this copyright conflict before Civil War, so a lot of people thought Spiderman into the MCU was impossible. Also in the Civil War trailer, Spiderman wasn't in the Airport clash scene. This end credits in Antman was the only scene that hinted that Marvel and Sony indeed agreed to let Spiderman join the MCU.
I'd side with Team Cap on the Accords, but Steve should have told Tony first about Bucky and his involvement in murdering his parents especially when all of them got captured by General Ross. There's still a huge probability that Iron Man would want to kill Bucky, but at least there are agents or special forces to neutralize him from doing that.
And yet the movie before he was completely wrong about Vision. Wrong about Tony the Avengers before on the sacrifice play. Cap was unyielding in his views but he was also wrong compared to Tony more than not.

Well Tony did kinda confirm he’s had his eye on Peter for awhile in civil war. Plus by the time Tony found Peter, he had his powers for a little over 6 months I believe he said.
It was absolutely Spider-man. It was actually a relatively big story that they added that in reshoots, I believe, because they had just closed the deal with Sony.
What side would I pick? Without skipping a beat, I’d side with Cap. If there’s one thing that has been proven time and time again, it’s that government has always been a corrupt entity. While Cap is not perfect by any means, he does try his best to do the right thing. Government on the other hand almost never does.

Most people pick team Cap, but that's because the entire story is framed around Cap being the good guy. He is the star of the movie, after all. So the audience is getting a pretty biased perspective. From a more objective standpoint, it's entirely reasonable for the Avengers to have some form of oversight and accountability. Think about it from a realistic perspective and forgetting that you know that the Avengers are all "good guys". Imagine a group of people with super-human abilities and highly advanced weapons and technology, who can rival the military force of entire nations, and bound to no laws, treaties, or jurisdictions, besides having some loose ties to the US military and a US covert organization (SHIELD).
Shield is gone by Ant-man and Captain America Civil War. Unless you count Agent's of Shield show. In fact characters like Spider-Man aren't exactly hiding. It probably just a private investigator.
AoS is still definitively canon at this point in the timeline. AOS’ canonicity only becomes dodgy by Season 6. S1-5 are definitively canon (The MCU profile for Nick Fury on the Marvel website even includes his AoS cameo).
Or it could simply mean they found the RUclips footage of Peter. When we meet Pete in CW, it’s established he’s been doing it for at least 6 months. I’m sure in that time he’s been on some people radar, but not necessarily “recruited.”

Well Tony did kinda confirm he’s had his eye on Peter for awhile in civil war. Plus by the time Tony found Peter, he had his powers for a little over 6 months I believe he said.

What side would I pick? Without skipping a beat, I’d side with Cap. If there’s one thing that has been proven time and time again, it’s that government has always been a corrupt entity. While Cap is not perfect by any means, he does try his best to do the right thing. Government on the other hand almost never does.

Most people pick team Cap, but that's because the entire story is framed around Cap being the good guy. He is the star of the movie, after all. So the audience is getting a pretty biased perspective. From a more objective standpoint, it's entirely reasonable for the Avengers to have some form of oversight and accountability. Think about it from a realistic perspective and forgetting that you know that the Avengers are all "good guys". Imagine a group of people with super-human abilities and highly advanced weapons and technology, who can rival the military force of entire nations, and bound to no laws, treaties, or jurisdictions, besides having some loose ties to the US military and a US covert organization (SHIELD).
Shield is gone by Ant-man and Captain America Civil War. Unless you count Agent's of Shield show. In fact characters like Spider-Man aren't exactly hiding. It probably just a private investigator.
AoS is still definitively canon at this point in the timeline. AOS’ canonicity only becomes dodgy by Season 6. S1-5 are definitively canon (The MCU profile for Nick Fury on the Marvel website even includes his AoS cameo).
