    Thanks so much for sharing again I so love this stitch! My 26 year old son asked me to crochet him a blanket. I have finally found the stitch I want to use now to find the perfect yarn! 😋

    Beautiful pattern, thank you for sharing. I can see so many possibilities with it. I am planning on making a sampler blanket soon with lots of textures and this is going to be one of the textures. I also love the yarn you chose for this pattern. Thanks again!

    I don’t understand why we have to watch, making a single chain and a sc all the way through just to get to the main row. By the time you get to the second row I have lost interest

      It’s not for us who know it’s to help the new crocheters and that’s what keeps the art going. The next generation of crocheters keeps the art alive we are now the support group! 3:29

      You can feel free to FF through that. However I believe you probably have that knowledge so are you just trying to be judgmental for a reason?

    I will never understand why there is only music and no explanation on what to do.
    It makes it harder to follow because I have to keep going back to understand what you have just done 😔

    I wish you would explain what you are doing verbally.
    People who have learning disabilities have a very hard time understanding just the video by itself

      I don’t know if this helps, but often the folks who don’t speak can be non-English speakers but want to reach everyone no matter what language is spoken. Sometimes they are profoundly deaf and do not speak verbally as clearly for hearing person. You can slow the video speed down and enlarge the video size to help you if you have some vision. I know it is not ideal though really for you. But hopefully it will help. To find the speed control, click on the three dots near the list of with the like button. I hope this helps you understand why and gives you a solution to use the non talking tutorials. If I find the name of the pattern, I will come back and share it so that you can find a talking tutorial.

    Can I ask WHY you regularly use 2.5 hooks???
    Far too small and it makes crochet too time consuming imho... eg Baby Blanket etc

    • @shelleysmith4017
      @shelleysmith4017 Месяц назад +5

      Well, it shows the stitch definition better and it is not so bulky looking either. Some folks also like using a smaller hook, not everyone wants something done as quickly as possible and prefer the things to have a bit more delicate look than the big bulky and heavy yarns requiring bigger hooks and do not like all the big flabby open hole look if they use larger hooks. The great beautify of crochet is you get to choose what you use and like. There is no need for snarky rudeness. She is giving you a stitch pattern that you can use any hook and yarn with to make your own style. The words you forgot with this gift she has given you is “thank you”.

      snarky rudeness???
      Your lack of true knowledge & understanding is clear... voicing a query IS acceptable to clarify matters... By the way, using bulky yarns is NOT the correct situation since the yarn I use matches the type shown in the clip... you jump to conclusions throughout your comment 🙄 and quite frankly, you make it obvious that your Cognitive Deficit drives your reality of misunderstandings... It's a sad status, imho... 😉

      @@Toozelwoozle70 Thank you, it is so true. Someone has taken their time and their knowledge to show people how to create something. Rather than complaining, one can ask a question without then being rude to the person teaching them.

    I'm teaching myself how to crochet, and I was hoping you would tell me what 2+2+2 means. I can't find the answer anywhere.

    • @rosem5044
      @rosem5044 Месяц назад +3

      It means you can start with a chain that is any length as long as it’s a multiple of 2 (so an even number of chains). If you’re making a baby blanket you may need 90, a scarf may need 200 etc.
