Dr. Hyman saved my life! I've been 2 years on his elimination diet from the pegan book - all inflammation is gone, all excess weight too (+100lbs) and my sleep and energy levels are crazy! I'm 48F and thought I was just going down and instead I feel better than ever - thank you Dr. Hyman!!!

I also was disabled from rheumatoid arthritis and by listening to him and doing the aip autoimmune protocol Paleo diet and doing time restricted eating of 16/8 I brought all my severe rheumatoid arthritis symptoms down to zero and I’m now I’m weight lifting four days a week and exercising. My grandmother had been an invalid from Rheumatoid arthritis since she had been 16 and my mom has Rheumatoid arthritis severely.

Chris, thank you sooo much for this episode. I have been following Dr. Hyman for about 2 years now after I had a big struggle with autoimmune disease myself. He is amazing and I am so glad that you are helping in getting the information out there. Change takes time and people need to hear things many times from different sources before they are starting to pay attention and listen. I have changed my diet and lifestyle and it has made such a big difference in my health. This really matters and works! I am a huge believer now. Thank you again!

The low weight is not always the sign of health… my husband was slim….he was a sugar addict that the the food market initiated since he was a kid….which is the American problem…I blame the processed food…and the food Market….period…then after this regiment….you get sick…& then the system takes care of that part of your life too….Americans are the #1 product for all the biggest food & medical businesses & companies 🐯🇫🇷🇺🇸

I really need to change my eating habits, before it completely kills me!!! I have a sugar and junk addiction. Not really smart for me, since I battled breast cancer 10 years ago, and luckily I beat it!!! But my cholesterol isn't great, I am on medication for high blood pressure, and I am having a daily struggle trying to manage my depression and anxiety. I'm constantly fatigued, and the doctor is running blood work on me tomorrow morning to rule out autoimmune disorder. I know I need to change what I put into myself, but it's so difficult because I am addicted to this stuff!!! I really need help, and may have to seek treatment from a nutritionist. I don't like how sick I feel all of the time, and realize the ball is in my court to make positive changes for myself. This podcast episode has given me food for thought, Chris (No pun intended, lol)!!!

I respect him and have watched him before but just an fyi, I am a very clean eater and exercise daily…. I’m 5ft 2 and 105 lbs. I took vitamin D 2 times a day as well as zinc among many other vitamins and I got Covid bad! 23 days… 10 days into in the ER for low oxygen levels. This was before the vaccines. I suffered long haulers with the shakes and fatigue for months after period tastes still are not the same. After being vaccinated and boosted I got it again. Not nearly as bad but I would be pretty hard-pressed to find someone that is more health-conscious than me that I know. I don’t do sugar or processed food

Dr Hyman made great points. I would add, there is a large part of our population in the USA that does not know how to shop and cook. Also, many people are just so busy work, school, kids, housework that at the end of the day the last thing they want to do is spend two hours with prep, cooking and cleanup. I struggle with that now even though I don’t have kids at home. I was blessed to have a mother who taught me how to cook and shop on a budget. (One of the few positives of growing up a poor kid)!

Do not know Dr Hyman… but I finally feel I hear someone speaking the same language as me…when I arrived in the US …I (🇫🇷) thought I had intestinal cancer… anything I put in my mouth was killing me…had the worst unbearable pains…no Doc. was able to explain… I was my (🇺🇸) husband’s care giver for years…I am convinced that Alzheimer’s is due to the same bad food which blocks arteries & leads to heart fatal issues…the brain represents smaller vessels…though from the rest of the body it is blood circulation….3 decades later & after lots of studies on my part…before google…😂…. In 2 words…. Excessive consumption of Salt & sugar are the number one reason all the consequences in human’s bodies…🇫🇷🇺🇸

Happy Thanksgiving to Chris Cuomo and family!!! Although I am an American living abroad, I do celebrate Thanksgiving with my family every year. Your Spanish is excellent Chris. Pronunciation just like a native speaker. I am very impressed. You always impress me with your down to earth manner, empathy, compassion, and kindness. In particular, I was touched by how you tried to help me many years ago when I asked you to. I don't know if you remember but you gave my contact info. to Helen Akullian to try to help me kick start a career in corporate communications. So I know you are a really helpful person who cares about others. Although you are a famous and accomplished journalist who interviews presidents and statesmen, you don't forget the little people which makes you a special person. I feel sorry for you because your career was truncated and I know in my heart that you did nothing wrong. I think you are often very misunderstood. On a lighter note, I really like the Chris Cuomo Project. You are a terrific interviewer and you pick really interesting guests. Cuomo on the Couch is good too. You are so candid and honest. My favorite is the Walk and Talk because of the life coping tips which are very helpful. Your wit and sense of humor also shine through. It's amazing how you've matured and improved through the years. It must be your hundop philosophy. You are a nice person with a bigger than life personality and an incredible ability to transmit, articulate, and communicate. Don't ever give up on broadcast journalism.

So I’m halfway through this and I’m literally clapping to everything he’s saying especially about the sugar! I am a little disappointed that he backpedaled about the subsidies to the animal agriculture “industry“. It’s an absolute nightmare, for our bodies, the animals, and environment. No one seems to have the balls to really stand up to the animal agriculture thugs. Look at what they did to Oprah when she tried to push vegetarian or vegan. I have been vegetarian since 1998 and vegan since 2012 and I am the same weight as I was in high school, I’m 48 years old. Recently I went back to eating sugar in chocolate etc and now I’m having an inflammation event- I’m cutting all sugar (maple syrup etc) out and returning to stevia and monk fruit sweeteners by the end of year. All I can say is I’ve lived 25 years experimenting with the best possible diet and I’ve seen the results. I make vegan food for a family and the woman has already lost over 5 pounds in a month of simply eating steamed vegetables, tofu, delicious sauces, beans rice, some of the vegan meat, even things like vegan pad Thai. All vegan food is cholesterol free.

    • @peacepantherproductions
      @peacepantherproductions Год назад

Oh also, eating vegetarian and vegan is absolutely cheaper by far! You don’t have to worry about things spoiling as quickly. You don’t have to buy so much prepackaged crap. It’s absolutely the cheapest lifestyle -- if you want to eat all of the fancy packaged vegan meat or pizzas etc. you will be paying the same as the animal versions but the reality is even the vegan versions of pizza etc are healthier than the packaged food that contains animal products. Cheese is made from grieving mothers who had all of their babies taken away from them at birth. People don’t know this. There’s a reason these industries don’t want you to know anything about what you’re putting into your body. Milk is made for a baby and cow and goat milk is not made for our species. Definitely not a human adult!

To his point about grass fed fancy beef, this is absolutely a pipe dream, you get all of the nutrients you need and then some eating plants. There are no regular people who are going to be eating that kind of meat. Maybe less than 1% of the population. To raise an animal to take their babies away to murder them and then to ship their body parts all over the world and use more fossil fuels doing so is absolutely ludicrous. Only the top 1% of the population will be eating that type of meat regularly, and you don’t need that at all and it’s actually killing you!! Please go to physicians committee for responsible medicine and check out what they have to say, especially about cheese which is 70% fat and actually driving the diabetes issue.! Another point, where are we going to have all of this vast pasture land and where are the waste pools going to drain into? It’s absolutely ridiculous to think that every neighborhood is going to have a neighborhood pasture where we’re going to have vast acres of roaming happy grass fed animals until they are violently slaughtered and then shipped around town. Again, a lot of what this guy said was great but the idea that “plains Indians“ ate meat so therefore we should too is absolutely shockingly derelict. I could go into thousands of reasons why our bodies do not process dead animal parts the way an actual carnivore like a cat does. From the length of our intestines to the shape and size of our teeth etc. the list goes on. Again please check out physicians committee for responsible medicine they have a lot of facts there and they are actual doctors who are actually promoting veganism as the healthiest way to live.

There is also a distinct difference with chocolate from country to country. Did you ever see the series with Jamie Oliver who tried his best to change the diet of many Americans by going into schools throughout America. Dr. Paul Bragg a great American doctor also spent his life trying to reeducate people's diets. I know when I traveled in America the food was not appealing to me having lived a life of fresh produce. Fascinating and very informative. I'll toss in another obstacle to eating healthy for some of us. Rare, but real. Actual cooking and meal prep. For me, at a chair mobile level, working at a stove is a burn hazard. I can't see inside a pan, carry/move boiling water, get something in/out of oven. Getting a safe, standing leverage position over food to cut it is out. I know I point out a rare situation. But is it? Think about our aging population. Older people who live alone. Dollars to donuts (had to be silly there) healthy meal prep and cooking is no easy feat. Guaranteed.

He needs to be careful with his wording. Not everyone who became sick/died was overweight or a processed food junkie. It also comes off as dismissive toward those who were born with certain illnesses/immunocompromised systems. I'm sure that is not what he intended, but just something to keep in mind. While good eating habits certainly help alleviate symptoms, it's not a cure.

He irresponsibly embellishes and overstates his case, repeatedly, and that makes him untrustworthy. With Covid, that puts people in danger. If they believe they're at low risk, they're more likely to behave in a risky manner.

Ahah EGGS… Americans got scared of eggs… it’s not eggs the problem…. The problem is all the stuffs that people eat besides eggs.
Yes I eat healthy…not easy though when living here…. But it’s possible… I drive an hour to get my farm eggs… as well as Raw milk and I eat two eggs daily…and eggs combine all the best proteins a body needs… took a long time to figure out the « milk intolerance issue » …raw milk took care of that…. And I make the best yogurts that do not exist in any food store…we know the benefits of yogurts.
My number one goal is to not see any Doctors to the end…I am pretty happy until now…😘🐯🇫🇷🇺🇸

Drink Water: mineral 💦-- if allowed get rid of sugar drinks. Bored? Once you get used to, a cáptese salat, a piece of grille’ salmon with veggies or mushpotatoes- A slice of bread -quantities and over Oliva oil with a slice of tomatoes between meals is delicious. I’m so bad at cooking. But good at knowing what my body needs. 4 o clock big salat (like Elaine’s / Seinfeld) but real - fresh like Kramer insisted on. In a way, he kept suggesting: go for fresh - the grocery - Season 🍎, remember ?

Constructive criticism: I understand that this is less an interview and more a dialog and that time is limited. However, some of the power of Hyman's message and his great delivery was lost in the frenetic interrupting. That rhythm works when the guest is a political figure, but for me in this case, it did not work.
