Contemplative look at life and human emotion. Poem , voice and video by Ed Banks. A tribute to a great movie and outstanding performance by all concerned.
I never watched this movie in 1998 after seeing the accident scene of Brad in the trailer ….. It was so heart breaking 😢…… I watched this after 26 years on RUclips and loved each moment of the movie . Excellent acting by Sir Anthony Hopkins and Brad Pitt ❤. If you have not seen the movie , please do so ASAP .
He's the pagan God of Death. There was no talk of "angels." The story is similar to the Greek myth of Hades and Persephone. Joe Black was intent on taking her with him, back to his own realm, and -- like Hades, Lord of the Underworld -- he had the power to do that. But in the ending here, Joe Black lets her live; and that is the true measure of his love. Not only that, but he restores the dead man (whose body he was using) back to life, so that Susan would have the man she loved. In the end, she loved both the man and the Death God; but she was terrified of Joe Black, and she was not ready to die.
Funny enough i watched the the movie again last night. I like the movie. Thanks for explaining what the movie was about. Bits of it confused me a bit. Now i understand. Good video and thankyou for putting it up
It is a wonderful movie and the character that Brad Pitt plays is actually Death himself. This is an updated version of a movie from the 40's or early 50's called "Death Takes a Holiday".

1930s (with the immortal Fredric March in the title role; remade as a TV movie in the 1970s with Monte Markham.)
Good & clear simple Synopsis.
Bello ❤ thanks
Ese eres tu.......esa voz
I'm not sure but I thought he was death, not the angel of death.
For some people it's the same thing. There's no angel of death in the bibile, and in the film he calls himself Death, so, you're right.
