The story says he is still unscrewing those bolts

Looks like he’s doing a head gasket. I’ve done few myself and even in a good well equipped workshop with good tools these bolts can be a challenge. As each bolt is removed it puts more pressure on the remaining ones. I always slacken and then re tighten until all bolts are ‘cracked’ and then remove them.
Fair play to this guy working in such hard conditions with limited tooling, people who’ve never done this kind of work have no idea what he’s up against. Replacing that tool might cost him the cost of that entire job, i feel for him, if I could I buy a decent set of sockets.

How hard must be to get some new tools in place like this? I assume it´s some country like Cameroon, do you even have some e-shops with car spare parts or tools there?

No reason to judge like that…..
They have little money, hardly any tools… and little hope of a better future….
But the way they make things work, their sense for improvisation would make you take your words back!!
