The close up shots are great, and the slower pace allows for better viewing and identification. Great work.
Ahh thank you!! This is exactly what I was going for, I’m so glad it worked out
It is so exciting for someone my age see someone your age show the same enthusiasm for plants. Yay! Someone to carry the passion into the future. Thank you!
It's so interesting how the prices differ in Europe versus the US. I just got a spiral cactus last week for around 15 $ in Germany!
omg!!! I could NEVER find one that cheap here!!!
Prices are different all over the country. I'm in Texas and these prices are wayyyy too high for me. I have a giant collection with 1000's of cacti.
It's not a US thing; It's a California thing. I live on the East Coast and I was completely shocked at these prices. It was exciting to see all the different varieties that aren't really available in my state, but the cost was astronomical. When I'm lucky enough to find an E.obesa, it's around $5 USD. I pay anywhere from $1 to $16 (if it's something really hard for me to find), but no more than that. The plants they are charging $125 - $150 would be around $25 here.
@@deaconsmom2000 whoever is selling those obesa’s are getting ripped off. It depends if the seller knows what they’re selling. The prices are on higher side, but it’s pretty common in California, Arizona, Nevada and most of the west coast from what I’ve seen for Astrophytum, Euphorbia, Cooiapia and different varieties of cactus to be pretty pricey, especially if they’re on the bigger side. It takes so long to grow them being the reason why. But you do occasionally find somewhere that sells you something for a shocking low price. I recently got a full sized aloe ferox for 30$ paid the money and ran. Sometimes you get lucky.
Dude, your descriptions of what a particular plant looks like to you cracks me up!! "Looks like a potato" "looks like pickles" "looks like worms" "looks like overgrown fingernails" hahaha. I'm really enjoying your new appreciation for succulents! They had a real good selection of Haworthias there, Haworthias are my favorite!. The cactus you picked up is perfect! 😍🌵
😅
Haworthias are awesome!!! Def Haworthias & lithops are top tier 😎
Wow this was an amazing nursery with all kinds of different plants. I can't believe the size of some of those cacti. I would be lost in there forever. Thanks for sharing and Stay blessed.
Definitely a fun one :) thanks Ruthie!
"This looks like an old man cactus, that's the only cactus i know." Lol!!
I need to get on my cactus game 😂
Lol
Erika Lodes you knew a lot of scientific plant names to be fair lol
who else is going to brew the coffee now
☕️😊
YASSS ☕️ 😌
I was here last week for like 2/-1/2-3 hours.I decided to take the day off work and hit some nurseries. I pretty much was here the whole day. Their only open Friday Saturday and Sunday as a heads up. But 350$ later I had one of the better days I’ve had in a long time. The selection is unreal and the location can be pretty hard to find. But well worth it, The plants are in supreme condition and have every plant cactus and succulent you’ve been looking for.
I love these long nursery tours! keep them coming please
Thank you!! I will definitely keep them coming hehe
I'm glad I live 1000+ miles away from this place because I would spend way too much money there, pretty awesome selection
Camera movement was just right while displaying the all the wide varieties......Enjoyed it!
Cactus plants are VERY VERY expensive in the US.
Thanks for posting, i enjoyed 😊
This place looks amazing! I’d be there all day 😂. And love your new plant babies! I recently got an obesa and I’m obsessed, it’s so cute!
Yaaaas I love this place! The family that runs it are so nice and sweet as well❤️
They really are!! There was only one lady there when I went, but she was the sweetest 😭💖
17:19 the uebelmannia pectinifera is actually an endangered plant. I remember seeing a plant nursery tour that were selling this plant and they only allowed one uebelmannia per person. It's my favorite cactus because the top looks like a crown to me.
😲 i didn’t know that! No wonder they were $50. It kind of does look like a crown, so cute
Great video!
Intro - Some of the Tephrocactus species are commonly referred to as Paper-Spine-Cholla, even though they are not very closely related to Cylindropuntia.
10:25 - That is a large crested Myrtillocactus geometrizans.
11:38 - That barrel cactus is a nice multiheaded Ferocactus glaucescens.
18:28 - The larger crested plants (in the back) look like Pachycereus marginatus, otherwise known as Mexican-Fence-Post cactus.
33:24 - Skip over those healthy Melocactus with fruit, lol.
FYI - All of the Totem-Pole cactus are cuttings, (everywhere) because they do not produce seeds and they come in at least three different types.
Some crazy bad-ass cacti here!
Totally agree with you about caudex plants! Now if I can just get better at not drowning them ... 🤔
😅 you got this, you just love them a lil too much hehe 💖
I'm doing homework right now and it's very soothing. Normally I wouldn't watch it this long but it's great as background videos. Your voice is also very soothing. You could totally make a series!
Amazing succulents and cactus .
Not much interested in cactus or succulents, but I had to see your smiling face today💚🙃 I don’t have the right lighting for them💚🙃 Sorry I comment as your giving your tour💚🙃 I love your cute descriptions of the plants, oh a turtle, this one looks like a yam, oh this one looks like a potato 💚🙃could you please tell me the name of the tortoise looking cactus? That you love so much?💚🙃 that is such a massive place💚🙃 I really enjoy seeing your joy at the plants you bought, it makes me smile💚🙃
Thank you so much!!! The tortoise plant is called a Dioscorea elephantipes. There were so many of them it was like heaven 🤩
Wow, I could stay there all day!
Truly! Even after I finished filming I stayed for like another half hour to look around without holding the camera. So many plants!
Hi Erika, I thoroughly enjoyed this video. 🥰 Thank you for sharing❣️I will probably watch this several times as there were a lot of amazing plants I saw and want. 🌵🌿😌🤍
Im so glad you liked it!! I hope it helps you in finding those cool plants 😎🌱
Just WOW!😍
Love this!! Now I have a million more on my wishlist!
Ah I’m totally inspired to go find a tortoise shell! What a cool plant!!!
I'm drooling over the selection, but the prices are outrageous. Yowza.
Wow love cacti, so lucky, those asrtos are great.
Those TBM looked great!
I can already tell this is going to be crazy
That place is truly unique.
I collect cacti in the north east and sadly we don't have any nurseries this vast. Beautiful
really cool place! i think almost anyone can find a plant they like. and that funny cactus 😂 i'm not into cacti, except forest ones, but that one just looks alien and i kinda like it.
and i love how this place has station to mix soils.
Amazing video! So relaxing to watch 🙂
Great video, just the right pace to look at the plants. :)
Thank you 😭 I’ve been trying to get the pace perfected!
I saw them in a different way today. I don't have cactus. I did like what you showed. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Nice Haul!
Thanks! 😊
Great nursery thank you for sharing will need to visit one day 💚🌵👍 spectacular specimens 👏
Hi Erika,
I am your new subscriber. First video and wow I enjoyed the content. Am also repotting and caring for my cactus and succulents while I watch your videos. Have a great day💚🌵🌞
I'm loving the descriptions! 😂
Now you got my attention!! You are right in my element!!!! 😃👍 yes the lophocereus shottii is called a "totem pole" and go ahead and touch the mammillaria plumosa! They are soft, I have one. That place is awesome!!! A little pricey, got my spiralis from Italy and it only cost 15.00. I love their selection, wonderful!! If you ever get a chance check out California cactus center in Pasadena on Rosemead Blvd. When I lived in California this was my go to place for cactus & succulents!! They are a little pricey too but lots of cool plants!!! Thanks for the great tour!!! From Morris park in the Ozarks have a great Sunday!!!!!!
Been there ,its and amazing place to shop rare and unusual cacti and succulents
Yes I noticed the price difference too, I'm in France. Just bought a huge hoya linaris for 15€, but some other plants I just can't find here! Love the video and all your information. ❤️🙏
That place is awesome, Erika. I would go broke in there. They have some hard to find cactus as well. I wish I live close. Thanks for sharing! I enjoyed this video. Cheers! 🙂🌵☕️
Definitely, I’ve never seen so many different varieties! Stay safe 😇
Oh snap, now I need to start collecting cactuses! Lol I only have 2....*starts taking drawers out of dresser to make a cactus cabinet* woohoo! More room!
wow!! amazing dessert plants! ❤ watching from the Philippines ❤
OMG ! I wish my daughter would love plants like you do , very nice succulents .
I am not a cacti person but i would get at least 3 of those cacti.... They all look amazing
Thanks for the tour. Yeah the prices were a little steep on some of the rarer desert cacti but the majority look really healthy and in good condition. I'd spend a small fortune in there.
6:36 damn that cactus on the right XD
I enjoyed this video so many different plants I love it 💕🪴🥰👍
thank you for the tour.
I found lithops at my local Lowe’s for $3:88 and I picked up all of them!!
Yesssss!! You’re must have an amazing lithops collection 😍
nice
Great tour as always was a great lot of cacti and succulents. It is always great to see other nurseries, I really like the madagascan fern, it looks amazing to me. Are you going to buy anything else from there? The plants you got were very nice indeed. Those desert roses at the end of the video, were so big never seen them so big in person lucky you. I woulike some of them. Great video as always looking forward to your next one. Oh btw are you going to start any repotting soon?
Thanks 🤠 I’m going to go back in March I’ll probably get a stephania from there & maybe some other little cacti. Those desert roses were really big!! I didn’t even know they were desert roses lol
I will start repotting, I’ve been finding a lot of cool pots at goodwill so I’m pretty stocked up & ready to go!
@@ErikaLodes Really can't wait for you to repot will be awesome. I really have no work with my trees now, oh bit boring, lol. going to a nursery that is closing down so hoping to get some new trees. Oh am getting a custom pot made for a wollemi pine so excited for that. Loving the content and looking forward to your next video.
you need to come to the south africa... so many of these plant come from here.
I love those Cereus spiralis cacti, but YES GIRL, I feel you. I can't justify spending $100+ on a 1 foot tall cactus 😭 But the Senita/Totem Pole Cactus, I found lots in AZ for 35, so if you go to your nextdoor state, that's what you need to look for!
Yeah, even seeing them for a little cheaper I can’t bring myself to buy it 😭
I can’t believe you see the totems for so cheap! I’m literally about to head over there & check out their nurseries
Great video, you should come back for the ortegocactus, it's quite rare and more with his own roots (at least where I live)
Dioscorea..grande 😳
Me encanta las dioscoreas 🤩🤩
I hope this place is open right now because I need some of these in my life
😍🔥🔥
🤩🌿💖
22:24 there’s one missing lol I wonder if someone just scooped it out and took it 😂🤭
Oh no I didn’t even notice! That poor little potato was taken from his home 🥺
Fuzzy BBs 😭💚💚💚
Home Depot have a lot of lithops, haworthias, bear paws and other adorable succulents for only $3.33 right now
Indeed, they are desert roses and they're dormant.
Thanks for confirming! :)
It's a good thing I don't live in CA, if I went into this place I'd never want to leave lmao
You can get the spiralis in the Netherlands for €10
Hey I just found ur RUclips and I watching them 🎉🎉🎉
I was wondering if you have ever watch crime pays Botany doesn’t channel? His does say a few bad words but he knows so much and goes around the world telling his followers the names of the plants and and usually the soil type. And from watching your video I’m watching right now he loves the desert plants the most check it out if you get a chance enjoy
❤❤❤❤❤❗
Man! Theses plants are expensive you can get lot theses on line way cheaper.
Where is this nursery? What is the name of the nursery?
❤ Rewatching this in February 2024. I love this cacti episode and your enthusiasm.

You guys rlly got it good 😭
I live near that place and I think I did some vlogs too
I really love your channel. I want a blue cactus so bad. Please help me get one
Yams are Dioscoreas and sweet potatoes are Ipomoeas.
Ahhh!! Thank you so much for the clarification!!
Omg i go to csun.
Vaya robo! 🧐 Precios absurdos.

Look at that I’m a plant master 😎 lol just kidding
I’m from az too!! And cacti never do it for me lol. I like very few kinds of cactus
WOW everything is so cheap!
I can't believe you completely skipped over the Ariocarpus :(
Hey
You didn’t really show the succulents 🥲
Nice video. These ppl are way overpriced.
Girl I butcher the names all the time or it’s spell check.🤓 I bottom water too, when I can.
😂😂 their names are wild!
Erika Lodes I know, I wouldn’t even attempt some of the name.
Wow nice selection but everything is extremely overpriced
So expensive
Lmao @ 7:19 they look like a pile of shit in a pot🤣
