Hanks is one of the reasons I still have faith in humanity. He’s one of the biggest names in Hollywood and is still a good-hearted human.
And holy cow he looks well. He looks like his health is really peak. I hope he sticks around for a long time.
yeah.. totally agree! such a good person..
I met Tom Hanks & Ben Mankiewicz one day a part I met Tom Hanks in New York City and the Next Day in Buffalo New York I met Ben Mankiewicz at the North Park Theater for a TCM event what a quintessential interview here. 😂
Love the exchange with Nora Ephron he talks about.
He has written a book of short stories as well
Looking forward to the novel
He has certainly gone far. From selling peanuts, at Oakland A's baseball games as a teenager, to being a two time Oscar winner, to being a director/establishing Playtone Pictures, to being a novelist as well as a Mark Twain Humorist and Kennedy Center Homor award winner. I remember him in Busom Buddies and have loved so many of his movies. I wonder if, when writing his novel, he used one of his favorite typewriters to write it? The world may never know.❤❤
To being an Epstein island visitor
@@robustanybody5138 According to conspiracy theorists 😂. He was never in that island and he didn't knew Epstein, but you know who did and was his friend, Trump.
@@redmist2053 didn't really bring up Trump but okay
If that's what tickles ur balls
And BTW y do u think he took a Greece citizenship??
@@robustanybody5138 Why? Because his wife has greek ancestry and they have been visiting the country for years. And if you are gonna say that they did it because pedophilia is considered an illness there, actually it's not, it is considered a crime, many years ago in Greece it was proposed to consider pedophilia an illness, but there was public outrage and in the end they didn't do it.
@@redmist2053 nope it's cause of the extradition treaty with US
Even though the tax rate is so high he found a safe haven of sorts
He's taken Greek citizenship and mostly precides over there
Both of which are conditions required to deny extradition
Met him at a restaurant in LA. He went to every table to say hi to each person there. Stand up dude!
Love Tom Hanks! He's a class act through and through. Just don't travel with him (Cast Away, Captain Phillips, Sully,....)
Apollo 13!
Epstein island
Now that that's a great movie
I thoroughly enjoyed “Uncommon Type”, Hanks’s collection of short stories, and I’ll definitely be buying his novel as soon as I can get my hands on it. He writes nearly as well as he acts… and perhaps his latest effort will prove the writer has eclipsed the actor. I love the raw authenticity of this guy.
I just happen to end up loving every movie Tom Hanks made because - well, he made me believe what he was going through seem real, I felt him or whatever he was going through just seemed so real. Who forgets a movie that he has done and what it's about? No one!
There was a missed interview question series here...Mr. Hanks is known for his passionate love of the typewriter. Did he write this novel on one, or more, of his typewriters or did he resort to his computer word processor? I am so excited about this novel because I have so many questions about what various people in the credits actually do. If you aren't in the industry, do you know what a gaffer does? I Googled it. I know I am not alone. It is difficult to appreciate people's hard work when their actual job title and credit is a mystery.
I learned a lot about him from reading Ann Patchett's beautiful essay "My Precious Days," which recounts how Tom Hanks' assistant went to live with Patchett for a few months while being treated for cancer in Nashville. It's moving and at times almost fable-like and ultimately says a lot about the meaning of friendship.
I just heard Ann interview Tom last night in Nashville about his new book and it was amazing. She is a great interviewer and Tom is just Tom. Phenomenal 90 minutes with those 2.
Peter Scolari and Tom Hanks were Perfect together. Always knew Tom would be a big star but Peter was a fantastic actor on par with Tom. Always wondered why their careers ended up so differently.
Thank you Sunday Morning for another amazing interview ❤😊
Hanks is one of those actors that can vanish behind a role. Naturally you know it's him, but you want to see it because it's him.
Except Mister Rogers…that was bad.
Love Tom Hanks❤️
Tom Hanks has been winning our hearts for a long time. Even when I see a box of "Russell Stover's Chocolate" or those Bubba Gump restaurants, I would then think of "Forrest Gump". Even that film is one of my favorites, according to my mother and I.
We really owe a lot of gratitude to Hanks, out of the work and roles he's done in the past, as well as his marriage to the lovely, Rita Wilson, too!
You feel indebted to an actor for making a movie and being married?
I trust Tom. Just pre-ordered the book!
First movie I saw him in was Splash then Bachelor Party. Bachelor Party is still one of my favorites.
He even eclipses Tom Cruise as Hollywood’s biggest and greatest movie star ⭐️
Tom Cruise has been past up by many great actors probably 20 years ago
Love love love him always❤
Thank you Tom
For a lifetime of entertainment.
Tom looks great! I need to get back into that kind of shape.
Book sounds like Budd Schulberg "What Makes Sammy Run?" Classic Hollywood novel.
Tom Hanks, the GOAT.
One of the best actors!
I just watch OTTO last night. I thought it was a really good Tom Hanks’s movie!
Oooo, just thrills me that Tom Hanks has written a novel! So love that he has a typewriter collection. Wish I still had my Dad's old Smith-Corona. Once I did not need to use it anymore, gave it back, of course. The thought that he actually uses typewriters, so cool! Audited typewriting class during high school. Learned on a manual typewriter vs an electric. Best thing ever!
People are always saying he's a national treasure. That's because he is, indeed, a national treasure.💙💫
Mr. Hanks..we love you..
and thank you.
💙💫💙💫💙💫💙💫💙💫💙
Movies do have an impact on our life. I remember the theater I saw Return of the Jedi in in 1983 when I was 10. I remember watching Splash on TV in the 80s as a kid waiting for Thanksgiving dinner to be ready. Too many more memories of going to the movies, or movies at home, to mention.
I completely forgot about Bodom zbuddies. I loved that show.
I totally get his last statement. It's like getting paid to be in Hall H at Comic-Con. Dress up and be somebody else. We got it.
Love Tom Hanks movies
Tom read my niece's biography on stage a handful of years ago in New York and did a little skit with her. She has kabuki syndrome and it was a big treat for the whole family. He's an all around great guy. Also, I managed actors for a spell and one day wound up on set at Paramount to support one of my actors who had booked a part in a movie. I remember wandering around by myself snapping pics, and WISH now that I had known I could have waltzed right into a closed set no problem. As long as you "act" like you belong, then you do. That is a good life lesson. xo
"Laugh is lack uh box uh chocklits: y'nevah know what you're gonna git!" Love that line and how he says it!
I love tom hanks, u have made my life more interesting
Love Tom Hanks!
Coming from a childhood and family life that was under privileged and erratic he is naturally humble. Because he understands the value of what it means to care he connects easily with those around him by giving care.
He is the best!
Good morning from the state of Virginia. The dream of a good friend, Kianne, is to act with the incomparable Tom Hanks❣ Best wishes, Andrea
We need Larry Crowne Part 2!!
Thanks for your passion Tom!
Reminder that he was a frequent guest at Jeff’s island 🏝️
Fantastic interview. It must be difficult interviewing a friend. The most poignant question was the one about raising the children alone. Very powerful!
Great actor
Huge fan!!!!👍👍
I love the title. The Making of Another Major Motion Picture Masterpiece is a great title.
one of my favorite actors
Love Tom hanks especially in Toy Story movies
He and Tim Allen, as well as Joan Cusack, Wallace Shawn, the late, Don Rickles, Estelle Harris, and Jim Varney, carried those movies, together.
Love his Halloween character in Saturday night live
And Epstein island
A truly likeable man! ...and talented, and ..., and, ....
Educational thanks
❤️🔥✨THANK 🌷🌻🌹, Mr. Hanks✨🙏🏽
Great guy
I’ll bet it IS a blast. I’d give anything to be on set (in a helpful way). Wouldn’t you?
Hollywood as we know it is gone forever. Doubtful it will ever come back.
❤
I think we have the new Ron Howard here. Every generation has one…...anyone else want to chime in?
Tom Hanks would make a good movie us president. 😊
Tom💋
What is the song that plays at 1:48?
I love Sleepless and oh I saw the cranky in him. I just didn't know why. But what I need is another Sleepless where their daughter Brooks looks for their love and she ends up falling in love with a man like Bill Pullmans character
Weeee loooveeeee himmmmmm❤️❤️❤️❤️💎💎💎💎👑👑👑👑👑👑👑best from Croatia
How many books has he written?
Are they any good, and did he have any problem with getting them published? I imagine not!
Busum buddies was awesome
whats a blast is also geting paid for doing what you love
Hey it's Batemans childhood home!
Funny guy, that Tim Honks.
Otm Shank.
❤
In the end, acting is kind of playing pretend with your friends. If you make $30 million for 8 months of doing it, why not?
Does he talk about all of the times he’s been to Epstein’s?
Esptian's Island. No more Hank's.
come on baby do that thing you dooo
Is he on helium? Seems almost slightly manic...but I guess just very energetic.
Hom Tanks.
Mark 10:21. Luke 9:25 then Luke 9:26.

Keeping weight off works wonders for looking young.
I can’t get past him in Elvis it’s made me not like him at the minute I get it’s a movie and he’s playing a part but that’s all I see now when I see him 🙁
Tom lost weight!
ugh, he almost ruined that elvis movie, mr cornball......pass.
Forrest Gump was so boring. I got up and left. I couldn't believe how dumb it was. It was my day offso I went to Mario's and had a nice meal.
is he sick?
66 and in shape.
He's normal. All other Americans are obese ! 🙂
He was pre-diabetic and lost a lot of weight. He looks fit and trim to me.
Might be losing his stamina assaulting all those kids
@@robustanybody5138Oh aye he's very sick but the lemmings haven't a clue.

I wonder if he's worried about the pictures.
He's lot a lot weight.
Hanks' new hair, however...
Why men crop their hair and grow a shrubby beard at a certain age is beyond me,
Indian just like us FBI EP full time good morning world

I liked Tom until he couldn't laugh at Ricky's jokes about the perberts in Hollywood. The whole room was filled with them.
Who’s ricky
Aye him being one of the biggest.
@@vg4life Ricky Gervais hosted the 2020 Golden Globes and offended lots of big time people in Hollyweird with his jokes.
news: "never mind all these shootings and clear signs of societal collapse, here's Tom Hanks!"
Can't we have both? Surely, while society is collapsing, we need Tom Hanks even more??
Oh please, chill, lighten up, O'Doyle.

Epstein Island
Over the hill and not relevant anymore
Wasn't he on the Epstein list? I mean I don't care, but still....
This is a very sick man! He visited Epstein Island!
Tom's as shady as they come 🤮
Sunday morning evil edition
Henry Kissinger and Tom Hanks too .
All the Satanist's got up early today .
So he is selling his book. Got it!
Hollywood is closed
