      @@ValidUser. LOL, no the Niners have all of the leverage here. If the Steelers don't give them what they want, they can refuse the trade and make Aiyuk play this year out. They can even hit him with the franchise tag next year too. The Steelers low balling the Niners is the real issue here. If Aiyuk refuses to play, he looks bad in the eyes of his current team and any other attempting to trade for him, which will ultimately hurts his value too. Aiyuk wants his cake and to eat it too... Says Niners low ball him but then turns the Pat's down when they offer him exactly what he wants because he wants to win...

    The Niners expect their wr’s to always run hard, to block like madmen until the play is done, to be exactly where they’re supposed to be when they’re supposed to be there, and to catch anything that comes their way. So, yeah…why on earth would they want to keep Brandon Aiyuk around.

  • @jonpageable

    Well the niners gave him the opportunity to go get paid elsewhere (patriots and browns) but he turned it down. So if the steelers don’t offer a satisfactory package the niners should make ba play on his 5th year option. Once the season starts there is no holding in

      @imilreeves1483 Let me be more explicit. I don't understand the verbiage. The word been doesn't belong in the sentence. It doesn't make sense there, and the meaning of the sentence is much clearer without it. One could say "should have already won", but "49ers should have been won" sounds like someone should have somehow won the 49ers. It just doesn't make any sense.

    The 49ers do not need to trade Aiyuk anywhere. He's under contract. If the Steelers matched what Aiyuk wants now they need to match what the niners want. The 49ers are under no obligation to be fair, they need to be compensated accordingly for a valuable player. If the Steelers want him they need to pay for him. Otherwise don't trade him, let him hold out and not get paid at all this year, then franchise tag him.

    • @jeanc11
      @jeanc11 2 месяца назад

      He’ll be smart to hold in and get paid. While 9ers have no obligation to be fair, nor does he given that he has outperformed his contract. Just like if he underperformed the “he is under contract” would be out the window, and get cut.

    He is under contract through next year. A contract that he himself signed. He has absolutely no leverage whatsoever. It makes me laugh what the media talks about to make a controversy. The 49ers want to pay him. But if they paid him now, they would have to sacrifice other players, when they want one more shot at a Superbowl with this particular team. Aiyuk is clearly putting himself before the team. Which says everything about his character. He is an individual, not a teammate. The Kansas City Chiefs don't have players like this. And they are hoisting another Superbowl trophy. It makes you think...
