If I told someone what this band sounded like, and how intense they are live, and all you had was this video, and had never heard them before, i don’t think they would believe me 😂
When Dylan pulled out the The benny the butcher record, made me throw my hands up in the air ! as if full of hell couldn't get any cooler in my book man , I swear !!
Dylan seems so sincere when he's describing his love for his picks. It's really wholesome. I also would love to pick Spencer's brain on experimental music because he seems to know a lot!
Great to see some love for Manilla Road! One of the greatest heavy metal bands of the 80s in my opinion. Mark Shelton was a beast of a guitar player and vocalist. Mystification is my personal favorite album from them. The title track is just pure bliss.
This has all the ingredients of a great 'Whats in your bag?' episode. A mix of familiar/extreme and music & film.... presented with in-depth knowledge and love. Good job.....now I've got some homework to do and check out the picks I've never heard of.
Wow, this is a surprise! I had the pleasure of hearing them live in our small hometown AND the opportunity to be their host, as the whole band and D.O.C., the band they toured together with, crashed at my house. Extremely nice and humble guys, who basically transform into musical monsters when they get on stage... talk about nostalgia
Night of the Lepus! My last memory of my grandfather, who'd had a stroke a few years earlier, was sitting with him watching this movie at like 2 PM on a Sunday. We both loved it but I never knew the name of it. RIP Pop-Pop
I love just how much joy some of them exude. I think it's really awesome. I've been trying to listen to more of their stuff lately, but haven't found the time.
They definitely all have their individual taste and to see how they all blend together and influences their band is interesting and works! Surprised to see eartheater and Benny the butcher as one of Dylan’s picks, they are so good! ❤
I happened to be the door person at Syntax Psychic Opera in Denver when y'all played last before the COVID times. You guys blew me away that night while I checked I.D.s, and now I like y'all even more with all these amazing picks. Thank you!
I actually just met Dylan not long ago in March when he played a great show for Detroit. He was shocked I've stayed a fan since I found his group in early early HS, NOW I'm a parent lol.
That was my first Godspeed You Black Emperor album as well; it’s an EP, but very dark and haunting; maybe a bit more concise than some of their longer albums. Gotta know the record moment: I remember reading once that the guy in the recording is reciting the lyrics to an Iron Maiden song, not his own poetry. Beautiful record
was front row @ a FoH detroit show last year talking to Dylan. Saw GY!BE the night before and I was rocking a westside gunn shirt. glad to see he's into such dope music outside of the scene !
Full of hell is my fav band. It took me. 3 listenings to get into..but then a new hellish universe opens .oh best singer ever. Notice sunn o..influence too. You just blew my mind over and over again..oh very nice to see this vid .i will check out some of these..foh= best band in hell..and on earth..
holy shit so many good picks. love that miles album. also godspeed you, benny, dna and 3 6 mafia i just couldn't stopped agreeing with everything they were sayin
I'm a big Hard Rock and Heavy Metal fan and Metal bands What's in My Bag? episodes are always my favorites and the best imo, always have the best picks.
These guys are truly amazing people, I saw them perform at Shredfest one year in Salisbury, MD and they're fucking chill! I think I'm actually friends with Spencer Hazard and honestly he's so cool! Would love to see them again here in Ohio!
Without fail, extreme bands are the chillest people with the best tastes.
ALWAYS TRUE
Exactly!👍
no
angels fr
Did you expect them to scream and growl and leap into the racks or something?
Hi, this is Experimental Guy, Movie Guy, Jazz Guy and Noise Rock Guy and we're Full of Hell!
Night of the lepus and soundtracks for super fly and the fuckin great house by the cemetery, movie guy has some good taste

I love Full of Hell and this is my favourite What's In My Bag episode alongside Zola Jesus. Such outstanding choices from every band member!!
When Dylan pulled out the The benny the butcher record, made me throw my hands up in the air ! as if full of hell couldn't get any cooler in my book man , I swear !!
Man I fucking love Full of Hell. Caught them on the recent tour with Primitive Man. So unbelievably good.
I literally just came back from one of these shows
That split with PM is fkn heavy as shit
“I got Generic Flipper by Flipper”
People are looking at me weird for shouting “hell yeah” at my phone in public.
Flipper Rules!
same
I found out about Flipper not long before watching this cause someone else mentioned them in a Kilslug comment section - hell yeah
Gasp are indeed criminally underrated. There's nothing out there like them.
Dylan seems so sincere when he's describing his love for his picks. It's really wholesome. I also would love to pick Spencer's brain on experimental music because he seems to know a lot!
Armory of Obsidian Glass on repeat got me through a really dark period in my life and for that I'll always be thankful.
seeing dylan pull out the eartheater made me stand up out of my chair
Same I did a double take. Excellent record
Not surprising since hes a Final Fantasy fan. Eartheater is like a Final Fantasy boss
Quit makin up sh*t
Prodigy are from my home town and one of the greatest bands i’ve ever seen live. RIP Keith x
I'm not surprised that these guys like Gasp, but I am very happy to see a Gasp record getting featured on this show.
And there's a split coming!!! 😮😮
@@Flike245 update, the split absolutely fucking shreds
Full of Love … and solid picks. Especially The Bug.
Great to see some love for Manilla Road! One of the greatest heavy metal bands of the 80s in my opinion. Mark Shelton was a beast of a guitar player and vocalist. Mystification is my personal favorite album from them. The title track is just pure bliss.
Night of the Lepus. What a legend for picking that gem
Just discovered Eartheater thanks to this band and Amoeba. Thanks for that.
Some killer picks here! Metal bands always come with the most obscure picks and have the biggest variety. Love it.
Skateboarding+Full of hell = Energy,attitude and rage¡
This has all the ingredients of a great 'Whats in your bag?' episode. A mix of familiar/extreme and music & film.... presented with in-depth knowledge and love. Good job.....now I've got some homework to do and check out the picks I've never heard of.

Nice to see the Youth listening to some great music! The BUG is a fave of mine and my buddy Ron put out The Gerogerigegege mix.
That Manilla Road record is amazing!
One of the all time best
Agreed. Every song rules.
Awesome band, love their sound, choices, and they are all handsome! 10/10!
Great band with great picks!! Especially all the noise!
gasp really is still so insanely overlooked
Night of the Lepus! My last memory of my grandfather, who'd had a stroke a few years earlier, was sitting with him watching this movie at like 2 PM on a Sunday. We both loved it but I never knew the name of it. RIP Pop-Pop
stacked picks. didn’t expect less! love hearing the variety of tastes from artists. thank you folks at amoeba
drummer nails it every single pick !!! all essential, formative records for me ... u got my number dude
I love just how much joy some of them exude. I think it's really awesome. I've been trying to listen to more of their stuff lately, but haven't found the time.
I did the artwork for Gasp’s “An Earwig’s Guide to Traveling” when I was about 3 years old!
Such a fun episode to watch with great picks. Gonna be checking out a bunch of these. Love these lads and they are fantastic to see live.
Lots of awesome picks I hadn't heard of before. Always enjoy using this show to discover new music and even films.
Cool dudes. Great band. Love their open-mindedness and diverse picks. I was surprised how much common taste we have in movies and music
Streets of Fire is one of the sickest movies I've ever seen!! Solid choice
The episode we needed but didn't know that we needed it
these picks is wild. i love how they had such a great individual taste. love em!
They’re so unbelievably based having tony Williams and dna back to back
Love that the guy who looks like a young Pedro Pascal doesn't give a hoot about music and just goes for the movies ❤
Never heard of this band but the Gero shirt is enough to get me to check them out
They definitely all have their individual taste and to see how they all blend together and influences their band is interesting and works! Surprised to see eartheater and Benny the butcher as one of Dylan’s picks, they are so good! ❤

Incredible picks and taste from these guys
I actually just met Dylan not long ago in March when he played a great show for Detroit.
He was shocked I've stayed a fan since I found his group in early early HS, NOW I'm a parent lol.
Very very fascinating picks I wasn’t familiar with. Godspeed is a local band for me so there’s that. Love Amoeba for doing this.
Holy hell this is the best a band that deserves way more recognition!!!
this one of those episodes that hits me like 99 percent
Would love to see an episode with their frequent collaborators the body.
Nice to see the love for the Slow Riot EP. Since it’s release, I don’t think Godspeed have ever bested Moya.
the absolute pinnacle of the genre
That was my first Godspeed You Black Emperor album as well; it’s an EP, but very dark and haunting; maybe a bit more concise than some of their longer albums. Gotta know the record moment: I remember reading once that the guy in the recording is reciting the lyrics to an Iron Maiden song, not his own poetry. Beautiful record
Wowowow what a great episode. Full of hell are amazing and the picks only help to prove it

That Manilla Road album is outstanding. Nice Teitanblood shirt as well.
lots of "right on" moments watching this.
Saw them with Carcass 2 weeks ago they were sick!
full of hell is the best deathgrind/powerelectronics/noise band of the last 10/15 years.
Always love to see band the member's music tastes! Also, that was my recording at 00:51-52 and 00:56-57!
One of my favorite heavy bands and love how diverse their influences are.
the dude that bought the movies and the movie soundtracks has good taste.
It's bad that I was waiting for this for so long
Love it when it's like looking at my own record collection ❤❤

Super nice picks, good one! Such lovable dudes too!
Absolute banger of an episode
Love these dudes, Dead Ringers is always a great pick
That Streets of Fire soundtrack is Underrated. Very nice pick. "I Can Dream About You" is the best song on there.
New favorite channel
full of hell puts on one of the best live shows you’ll see. I gotta check The Bug record out, especially once I heard there was a Moor Mother feature
I really need to git my hands on that "superfly" LP
Gasp and Full of Hell split? Rad.

Damn, only fantastic picks and masterpieces
immediate Kevin Martin and Godflesh mentions, fucking sick
They e got great taste in music! 👏
Met Dylan in 2010 I think on his first tour with Full of Hell. Band rules. Stoked to see how far they’ve come since GTR records and that initial 7”.
