Will it work on a 2007, 525i. Purchased the car with 30k miles, has 46k miles rn, I got both my secondary cats deleted, and a resonator and muffler delete. Want to get an air filter & blow off valve and get it tuned.
Hello, I own a 2007 bmw 328i e90 and it will not unlock with the key fob unless I am right next to it. I saw one of your videos saying it is the Diversity Antenna but unfortunately when i replaced it, nothing changed. Idk if this helps, but my radio does not work either.
Also, I have an issue with a vibration when driving at higher speeds. Car begins to shake at about 55-60mph. This issue began when I changed my wheels (set of wheels and tires I had purchased) to some that have been sitting for a few months. They all have been balanced but the vibration is still there. Would love to finally figure out these annoying issues.
Hi mate great video. Quick question I’ve got an f32 435i it’s been staged 2’d prior to me owning by KAP tuning in Kent. Can I install the jb4 onto of this stage 2? Appreciate your time bro
Your right MHD are in the UK but when it comes to devices I trust the USA market a lot more. To be honest JB4 suited all my needs for what I was looking to gain and where I’m looking to take this car to the next level therefore, I didn’t see the point in MHD and to be honest I like my JB4 I love the fact of the maps on the fly without needing to plug up the MHD OBD all the time and also the fact of the different options JB4 gives. Also the fact Burger motorsports keep there products updated all the time is a must for me they sort any issues out quickly. And for what I’m looking to gain with my mods on the N55 the JB4 ticked all the boxes and was a no brainier for me. I just trust the USA tuning market more then the UK market that’s not to say MHD are crap by any means just for me JB4 accomplishes all my needs to get to 380BHP on my car is a achievement with the JB4 as to be honest, anything up from that I will need to change the diff.
@@BMWDoctor ....I understand! I was on the fence for awhile. I gave thought to using both honestly. Having the JB4 and using the MHD as a back end flash. The JB4 does indeed do more in terms of monitoring and safe guarding. My goal was 450-500 whp and 500 lb ft of torque.....the limit of the stock turbos. I think I'm pretty close but need a dyno to be sure. MHD has been good to me. They seem to be on top of it with updates and such. I'm happy....but both get you to the same spot. But the JB4 does indeed do a bit more. I believe they are the top 2 options right now. Enjoy it my friend! Thanks for the content! I've said it before, but your intro song is the BEST!
....and for anyone reading this....I went with a Eonon head unit and my THOR adapter stays plugged into the OBD2 port. With MHD and my current setup I can't swap maps on the fly like the JB4....but..I can pull over and change my map in literally 1-2 minutes and be off again.
hello 👋… i respect all ur knowledge and i need you to tell me the right way. i have an bmw e60 525d 2004 .. i am having some gears slipping if i accelerate easy on early speed.if i drive hard and with turbo than there is no problem it go very good. i was thinking to change transmission fluid and filter but some mechanic said you should not change the oil only the filter becouse those bmw need their own oil. should i put the old oil back again or should i fill with new fluid. thanks in advance 👋🙏
In general for all automatic transmission cars that have high mileage if you do what's called a flush you run the risk of the tranny locking on you once they lower your car from the lift. You can drain a few quarts and add new oil this is much safer to do as your not doing a complete drain and fill. This is the reason I drive stick my bro to avoid all these problems 😂
This is normal it’s only the ZF 8 speed that locks up early and doesn’t slip like that. Completely normal for the 6 speeds to do that. Only way of sorting it is by getting xhp stage 2/3z
Only if u have the cold air being sourced heavily from outside and seperatated in its own box from engine compartment simular to ram air or saw hood scoop like from a suberu wrx I put a sub hood scoop on my vr6dohc it was incredibly noticeable on my e46 however I used stock intakefrom grill go custom carbon fiber airbox tht was insulated to fit exactly where factory one sits and inside the box u put cold air intake to notice any real gains cuz if u remove factory and just cold air intake defeats purpose engine bay gets so hot tht your actualy forcing hot air into engine which I believe is not good for the motor but yea if u want real gains weight reduction prob woulda work better nitrogen instead of air in tires carpet padding very heavy best way to gain hp supercharger/turbo,intercooler high flow injectors but just slapping a cold air intake save ur time and coin the factory is suffiecent engineers didn't waste there time maybe put a more expensive high air flow filter instead of the cold air cuz I know for a fact it looks cool but for v6 or v8 defeats purpose maybe if its a 4 cylinder but i think the doctor is wrong never hurt to get a second opinion 😉 throttle body spacers acheivemenr gains too btw
@@BMWDoctor do u really.... Really think so🤔if so like how much be honest 1/2hp on a dyno or perhaps excessive heat in the aka COLD AIR intake would actual reduce HP common sense not so common these days i guess
But trial and error try it out take it to a dyno b4 And after and I guess u will see your results hopefully u have a buddy with a dyno or deep pockets yeah just s plain turn aka remap woild be the most noticeable but what do I know only a backyard mechanic tht specialized in imports only for almost 30+ years
I need the Dr. advise for a navy buddy. He wants to know which OBD scanner he should purchase that will not break the piggy bank. He has a 99 Audi, 11 Ford Explorer, 09 Dodge and is looking at a 2012 BMW. Thank you
Who me ? When did I ever say that ? And secondly this is not a remap by any standard, this only manipulates the cars settings to give you full control. Don’t get a tuning box and a remap twisted there is a big difference hence why I went for this option. With a remap it’s set and done finished you have no control as the owner of the car. With this I can have fun but I can also turn it completely off and have my car standard when I wish and I also have full control and customisation of my car. A remap is why many cars get destroyed including this engine as people abuse it at least with this if I sold it I don’t want another idiot using it I can take it off and sell it to them standard so they can’t destroy the car. I like control and with this I have full control.
I use MHD and have for 2 years now, or close to it. I run stage 2+ and I can flash it back to stage 1+, stage 1 or stage zero in literally 60 seconds and do it from my 9in Eonon head unit!
He's not lying. Some bolts on's (intercooler, charge pipe, intake) and your adding 100 hp and 100+ lb ft of torque. For real. I have a 2009 e93 335i and I went with MHD instead of JB4. I haven't dynoed the car yet but I'm around 450 hp and 500 lb ft of torque. It's a totally different car!
Love the channel! Curious....why didn't you go with the guys in your own back yard as opposed to the JB4? MHD is what I went with and it's made my e93 335i into an absolute monster. 5 in Wagner IC, ARM charge pipe, DCI's, Tial BOV....combined with an MHD stage 2+ tune.
There is a reason why Germans put that setting...the moment you remove it the entire thing becomes out of control unstable and possibly overheat much faster..and unless you are a pro and a mechanic do it if not don't fk with it lol.
@@BMWDoctor I still have to fix the timing chain on my 2002 540i. I got the tools and the timing chain kit and a quarter of the stuff removed but I am not getting enough time, getting too cold to work outside and a bit nervous not to fk it up. At the end it just became a long term project. I will have to do a video...diyer fks his dream bmw lol
You need the supporting mods for sure. It's MUCH harder on the coils and plugs....mine last me about 10-12k before they're shot. I use FCP Euro though so I only paid for them once with their lifetime guarantee. I'm 2 years in and my 2009 e93 335i runs flawlessly. I went with MHD instead of the JB4. The JB4 does a few things that the MHD flash doesn't. I personally didn't need the extras the JB4 provides over the MHD flash, was close to going that route. Either of them is an absolute winner though. The OTS maps have proven to be pretty safe for me. Upgraded intercooler, charge pipe (the plastic will pop when you start running 18psi) TIAL BOV and DCI's are recommended. My car is an absolute missile!
