For some reason when I export a track, multimap breaks and isn't able to be controlled with automation until I delete it and undo the deletion. The end result is that the automation I put on the one knob does not happen in my export and also is broken in live right after I export...any ideas/leads?
I’m experimenting with you technique of mapping the volumes and mutes to map8 or even better still 32 macros(link below) and preset recall to have a selection of volume settings to sculpt arrangements and add dynamics in realtime. Presets can be drastically different for big changes or subtle, raising vols by 2db over 4 stages with separate presets can add energy or drop down a level for the verse. Glad you enjoy the tuts. I'm doing better, thanks. Not quite 100%, but getting there slowly.
Thank you!
Perfect. Exactly what i was looking for. Thank you!!
Thank you Madeleine
Thanks for that tutorial! Is Map8 always on the master track?
No, it could go on any track you like.

I just tried it on OS X 10.11 and with the latest version of Live without any issues. Perhaps get in touch with Ableton's tech support team?
