@Richard Shteevens Many people here don't seem to have an own life. Weird, too, how Lumnah does not like your comment but does like the others. Apparently telling people to go get a life is wrong their eyes??
I am so happy that Gina has warmed up to the camera I remember when I first started watching I would see very little of her but look at her now cooking, gathering eggs milking the goats, and becoming an accomplished carpenter as long as she still has one foot on the ground. I love her smile and stated so many times but she flashes her smile and eyes quite often. Thank you Gina.
I agree she looks far more relaxed and good for her. Might I suggest you try your hand at making the Scottish Clootie Dumping as you can eat it on its own or fry up for breakfast, I have a copy of the Champion recipe at: www.electricscotland.com/food/recipes/dumpling.htm
Great video as always. When I see Hope, a warm and happy feeling comes over me. I realized, yes she is the sweetest goat, but, she brought me to Lumnah Acres. I love seeing how Gods' hand moves in our lives. Bless your ministry.
I am so thankful that you are filming your life adventure to share. I enjoy visiting the animals when you feed them. When you build and now I cannot wait until you take us along to see your new property. I found that if you put half the cheese on the bottom tortile, then the meat and veggies, then the other half of the cheese you can flip them without burning your fingers on the griddle. I have a press but I make mine by rolling them out. We like ours a bit thinner than the press makes them. As my grandmother would say "You don't have enough sand in your pockets to get it done". LOL
Good morning Lumnah Homesteader at 14:57 in Port Elizabet South Africa. Praise the Lord for some rain, just concern that there is not enough rain in the catchment areas. Still hopeful. Awesome week filled with God's Love, Hope, Wisdom, Faith, Wisdom, Joy and Blessings......
Howdy from west Texas! Nice to know that Texas isn’t the only one who has crazy weather. Closer to the end of your video, snow! I remember when it snowed when I was a kid (lived in Iowa), a snow like that or a bit heavier, used to make me feel light-hearted and happy.
Your doors will look amazing Al and I love how you are giving the girls the prettier door. Supper looked so yummy Gina!! Can't wait to see the exploring on Lumnah Acres 2.0.
First cup of coffee, and watching Lumnah Acres, its my norm. Morning guys and Al, add 45 degree supports to those loose saw horses, take you like 2 mins.
I also have my first cup of coffee watching them also. It is not right if I don't.. I was raised on a dairy farm here in northern central West Virginia. I now had a ruptured brain stem aneurysm and 8x strokes 17 years ago. So all I can do is have a back porch garden. But I so blessed. Love watching your beautiful family
Al, Gina & Olivia I’ve been watching your videos for awhile now and I have to say they are addicting. I’m also a long time woodworker that uses Titebond II & III glue. Like you experienced in this video I have have to deal with dried glue in the cap & tip. Suggestion, I save the cap & tip when the bottle is empty for future use. I remove the clogged cap & tip and let them completely dry, and clean them later. This method allows me to swap out a clogged cap with a clean one
I only have 70 acres but I've still not seen all of it. The upper 30 or so acres is very steep mountain terrain and it is hard to get to unless you're a goat. Those doors are going to be awesome! I can't wait to see them done. Blessings to all.
Great video Al , arch tops are easy , find middle half width of door, measure same from top to find centre knock nail in, then use either a piece of string or the slot in end of a tape measure hangs on the nail and scrib round with a pencil .
Just wanted to say that we totally enjoy watching you guys and even our grandkids like to watch ya'll with us. Keep up the good work and God bless you all.
When I was a kid I turned one of our saw horses into a horse with the help of my mothers old tack from when she had horses. The saddle had seen better days and was therefore mine for the taking! Used to practice my riding/posture/leg stamina on that thing and it was popular with my horse loving friends. It had a square face on a long thin neck and old sheet strips for a mane/tail. What won't you do in the name of love for a sport? Childhood memories.
I enjoyed seeing you cook supper, Gina, and giving measurements and talking a little:-) I just watched your sped-up barn build. Amazing! No wonder your smaller shed/outhouse was easy for you after this massive build. Gina's a great help. You have a happy homelife now with Gina and Olivia, and your homestead has given your life purpose, both of you. I'm anxious to see your next exploring video of your other property, but it's almost 5:30 a.m. and sleep is calling out to me. What breed of dogs do you have?
Love watching you cook! I’ve tried some of your recipes and they are delicious. I get lots of good ideas for dinner. Thank you If at any point in time you want to put more detailed info up I’d love it 👍
hi, by the way, when I have to cut a series of boards at the same measure, I put a guide to always have the same length, it's faster and I don't have to measure each time, a little trick, have a good time N.B. I don't miss any of your videos, they're well done.
Frequently Al uses the first board as a template, then marks the rest with that template so they are all the same size. I like the idea of a guide block as well. Clamp something down with one of those hand clamps, for example.
To create the Arc on the top use string and a nail, find your center on door measure up to point 2/3 height put nail in center of that line. Example door is 6' find center of width nail at 4' from bottom
Morning Lumnah Family, looking forward to exploring some more of the property with you. We have temps of -6c/20f, two snow falls that have melted and hoping for snow for Christmas. God Bless to your family and all your viewing family.
I bought a set of metal foldup sawhorses at Homedepot and put a 2by4 on the top, they have been the handiest sawhorses I ever had, as now I'm older I'm able to raise them up so they are easier to use
Never done radius hoping to learn something new Love your sawhorses im rickety but i still work well sometimes. May god bless as always thanks for taking me along.
Yep done radius before the most simple way to do it is with a string a nail and a pencil as a compass.. the first thing you need to do it cut the door to the exact width you need it. Then find the center of that measurement. What I mean is if your door is 32” wide half of that would be 16” so if you measured down from the side 16” and put a mark then measured down 16” from the top you would have a perfect 32” circle. The top of that circle would be your arch. Put your nail in at 16” from the side and 16” from the top tie the string to the nail line the lead of the pencil up to the center edge of the top and wrap the string around it then just draw lightly your arch take note that your pencil should enter and exit the width at exactly the same place when it’s measured from the top down on both sides.. you may have to adjust it to make that happen.. cut the arch out first then cut the bottom square to get the desired height of the door. Also while you have the door laying on the saw hauses 😂 make a template out of cardboard of the arch so you can transfer it to the shed opening so the arches match.. good luck
Door and food looks good! Gina, if you add a little more cheese just before you put the second tortilla on top and turn to heat the other side, it will help them stick together. Kind of like the glue Al uses, but better, lol!
I was looking for a comment like this before I made the same suggestion, so as not to duplicate. 👍 It does indeed work well to use half of the cheese on top. It makes both turning them over and eating them easier.
Morning, Lumnahs! It’s 36 this morning & supposed to get up to 68 today. The doors will be beautiful, I’m sure. Quesadillas looked wonderful. Olivia is growing up & getting taller. Blessings, Love & Hugs from Vicki in Ft. Worth, Texas 🇺🇸👍❤️🥰🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I don't know if you read my comment I left that you needed to buy a snowmobile but now I remembered you had bought those tracks for your side by side. Can't wait to see how they work.
"They (sawhorses) might not be the fanciest, but they get the job done." Well then, I love 'em! And I love your family! :)❤ Enjoying the longer videos too. I'd watch them if they were an hour ...love everything y'all post! :)
I had Covid a few months ago. I was quite sick, but thankfully recovered. The physician who saved my life is also my workout partner. I have always made my tortillas by hand. Said Dr. knew I did this and he was trying to make his own as well. He’s having a harder time due to lack of time to practice. I bought him the exact tortilla press as your’s to say THANK YOU for saving my life.
The way my shop teacher shown me how to make a perfect radius is to use a router with a flush bit and a jig. The length of the jig determines your radius arch size and curvature. The longer, the more shallow. The shorter, the more circular it becomes. At one end of the jig, you will find dead center and put a single screw. Then you use the router with the flush bit and cut your radius on the end you want to cut it at.
Good morning Lumnah Family. Al, like when you build things. Hope you never run out of ideas to improve your lands. Gina, those quesadillas looked yummy. God Bless and keep you all safe.
to make curved ambs --rip thin slices of wood the width needed for wall --bend/wet/glue around form of plywood on floor clamp/glue staple/nail till 3/4 to 1 inch thick
Loved your video today. Of course we look forward to seeing you every time you’re on! The doors look great. Can’t wait to see them on the building. Your animals are so fun to watch. The boys were a bit feisty today! How long can the goats keep producing milk for you? Hubby asked. I don’t really know but thinking as long as you keep milking them? See you next time!
Hi family Lumnah. I notice you measure every board Al. Much quicker and easier to set up your first cut and place a stop on the bench and clamp it. especially as you have made such a good job of setting the saw into the bench. That way you only need to measure once. Arcs are easy enough, youll get a better cut with a router than a jig saw though. looking forward to next part of the build and exploring. Have a great day.
i made an adaptor for my router to be attached to, basically it was a length of ply wood with a slot for the router to sit in and be attached to it and the other end had a set of holes in the center inline with the router... could do various size radius cuts....
Morning Lumnah Acres, I had a set of saw horses that were a lot like those until I was sawing a sheet of plywood and forgot which way to cut and sawed them in half😂
When I think about your lovely country, Lloyd, I think of the movie "The Harder they Come" www.imdb.com/title/tt0070155/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1a - While I have never been for a visit, a close friend went to stay at "Half Moon" resort and saw many slides of her trips with her family back in the 1970s. It's good to see the resort still around: www.halfmoon.com/ . What do Jamaicans feel about the resorts and the people who come visit?
What I do to make an arch is, use a thin board and put a pivot point hole on one end...split the distance from side to side AND to the top edge I would then sweep that and draw your arch by holding a pencil. You could also drill a hole to hold your pencil steady to sweep and draw the arch! Best wishes Al. I'm certain you already have that job finished tho!
Al use a thin piece of plywood and make a circle jig for your router. Just set the radius and route in small increments increasing the depth about a1/4 to 3/8 of an inch at a time.
jay west well that comment comes with a two edged sword! I've never seen Gina look older or unhealthy in any of the vlogs! She is Blessed with a great happy family and all the love of the pets and animals on the homestead! Not so sure what the beavers think 💭 of her though! Oh wait she hasn't been eating them! Yet! 😉🤣😂🤣
She's a beautiful lady with a kind heart. I believe that she's been able to grow spiritually and closer to God by working on her farm with her family and having the ability to enjoy the fruits of their hard work. It's very fulfilling and makes one content with themselves. I am glad she's come out of her shell more and I love her cooking segments! She's taught me a lot.
I think 90% of Gina's stress left when she quit her full time job and able to stay home. Stress ages people, affects the immune system, sleep patterns and much more.
Radius should be easy. For a 32 inch wide door, Measure 16 Inches from edge and top. Measure 16 inches from the edge of another board. Screw that board to center point of arc. Using a marking tool at edge of board,, swing board to Mark arc.
Good morning my friends.... Arched doors... Very nice..ehhh glue makes it's own cap lol.... We have some pretty crazy weather up here in Michigan also... I love the winter... Tortilla press looks like a must have...500 acres is impressive...I can't wait... Great video my friends
I love how you show how you use your hard earned food! I see several channels harvesting and preserving but as the cook of the house I like ideas! Also - because I know next to nothing about construction - why do you screw AND glue the boards? And why two layers? Thanks!
Best way to start the day - critters fed, big hot cup of coffee and Lumnah acres on the computer! Now I ask you - how can you beat that??
Apparently we’re going to find out tomorrow. 😄
I agree with you! I love getting up early in the morning, getting coffee, then watching lumnah acres:-) It’s a wonderful way to start the day!
@Richard Shteevens Many people here don't seem to have an own life.
Weird, too, how Lumnah does not like your comment but does like the others. Apparently telling people to go get a life is wrong their eyes??
@Richard Shteevens Inspiration is always appreciated.

Pretty, Smart, and Useful! Fearless! You go, girl! (Gina, that is)
Only God knows the love and thanks I have for my little Brother Al
Great video as always. When I see Hope, a warm and happy feeling comes over me. I realized, yes she is the sweetest goat, but, she brought me to Lumnah Acres. I love seeing how Gods' hand moves in our lives. Bless your ministry.
The doors are going to be great.. I enjoy all of your videos, no matter what you choose to do in them.. give Pluto a pat on the head for me.
Can't wait to see how that door is going to uplift the new build
I am so thankful that you are filming your life adventure to share. I enjoy visiting the animals when you feed them. I learn so much from watching your wood working techniques. Thanks.

Brilliant learning so much , we are in Derbyshire in England so it’s grey and foggy and damp here thank you for sharing
Love it! No shortage of building projects. One of the things I like about this channel is the cool building projects and ideas 😊
Goooood morning. I always have plenty of ideas. 😆
Nothing like the satisfaction of glue coming out when and where it needs to!
A suggestion: seed hortênsia (hydrangea) bushes along the driveway. It will look very pretty and is a robust flowering bush
Just wanted to say that we totally enjoy watching you guys and even our grandkids like to watch ya'll with us.
Keep up the good work and God bless you all.
5am im number 25 wow the only way to start the day coffee and a good dos of Lumnah Acres good morning gang
Gooood morning
Bro, I love that you end your videos with that song. Awesome!!
Keep building Al.
I'm buying Tite Bond glue stock today.

I enjoyed the game of Pass the Salsa at the end. Every family member took a crack at that jar, and Olivia is the only one that used it.
Everything with you two, is an fun adventure, and I love it! Can't wait for more!
4... Don't forget Olivia and Figaro. 🙋♀️🐱
Love your videos. You are so likeable and your have the most blessed family. Love all your daily adventures and look forward to them each day.
The doors are going to be beautiful, Al, can't wait to see them finished. Dinner looked delish and more exploring will be fun. Thanks for sharing
It will be fun to check out more
Love watching you cook! I’ve tried some of your recipes and they are delicious. I get lots of good ideas for dinner. Thank you
If at any point in time you want to put more detailed info up I’d love it 👍
The doors look good. Should be real nice when you finish it.
Clicking started at 13:24 in the audio track again!
It happens a lot when they are filming in the barn. I think its feedback from the cell booster or LED lights they installed and the mic.
Good morning Lumnah family ,keep safe and well from North Norfolk coast UK getting colder here we have had frost during the nights here
Morning 🇬🇧

What about using reflective tape to make the moon (star?) Shine bright????
Low eggs mean an egg hunt too to find their laying spots
Great doors you make Al! Thanks for showing us how to make them. Our barn doors are falling apart so now I know what to do. Thank you.
I bought a set of metal foldup sawhorses at Homedepot and put a 2by4 on the top, they have been the handiest sawhorses I ever had, as now I'm older I'm able to raise them up so they are easier to use
you need some battery powered lights for the loo and storage unit.
Never done radius hoping to learn something new
Love your sawhorses im rickety but i still work well sometimes. May god bless as always thanks for taking me along.
🤗 Good morning. That is going to be an interesting door. Very pretty.
Thanks for the video. You folks have a blessed day. Be well and stay safe. 💞💞💞
if you have your ambs made/ in place ---put door against amb and trace to fit --take extra 1/8-3/16 off knob side for clearence
Love watching your videos And i love the way you end the video with a prayer before dinner/Supper..South Africa
When you use the tortilla press, put the dough ball a little closer to the hinge side. Keeps the dough from squishing out by the handle as much.

My husband Daryl and I love your channel. You have a sweet family and great farm. Have a blessed day.
Your New England is coming out when you say sawhorse I love it

😳☹️
IT happens
That sure is going to be a good heavy door! Supper looks good!☺☺☺
Good morning Al,Gina and Olivia , watching from Kool Kool and irrie Jamaica.
@David Davis Ha David. Glad you like my country. Where did u stay

Al use a thin piece of plywood and make a circle jig for your router. Just set the radius and route in small increments increasing the depth about a1/4 to 3/8 of an inch at a time.

All that home grown food 😀😀😀
Cut a hula hoop, 1/2 inch pvc or bender board that you can bend and anchor down with screws for the template of the arch pattern for the doors.
Goooood morning Lumnah family from Melville Saskatchewan
Good morning Lumnah's! Those are going to be some nice door's! Can't wait to see them done! GODBLESS Y'ALL! ♡♡♡♡
Great love to see more of your land have a great day
Radius should be easy.
Snowing here today, Studley Va,
Use a garbage can (clean one) to form your radius, mark it, then cut with a jigsaw slightly oversize, sand to line needed.
God Bless you all.
I love how you show how you use your hard earned food! I see several channels harvesting and preserving but as the cook of the house I like ideas!
Also - because I know next to nothing about construction - why do you screw AND glue the boards? And why two layers? Thanks!
