I was born and raised in Canada and I didn't get a single reference from that acting bathroom challenge. I can totally get why the references are lost on her
i was born here, raised here and don't understand 90% of the references. yes, you should come prepared to drag race, but i'm not surprised if most queens don't know what these references even mean or came from
Why do Americans feel like the whole world revolves around them? I swear the Viet dont really care for Beyonce that much. Yall keep dragging her for that same thing and it's been 5 whole years. Think artists like Michael Jackson, Madonna or maybe Britney Spears but Beyonce is definitely not a household name in VN at all. And this is coming from a Vietnamese.
No, as a Brazilian, learning rap lyrics is waaaay to hard for me, cause you have a timing to say each word and it all scramble in our mouth to say, like it's not so easy to learn the lyrics, sometimes I cant even understand it when I'm listening to the rap lol So no, not so easy as u think it is for us.
@@pokemonparty101 i think people say that because it's a language that doesn't make sense a lot of times. In that way it is a bit difficult but compared to basically every other language (depending where you're from obvs) it's really not that hard. One of the reasons why it's so widespread too I would say
She didn't know the lyrics of 3 out of 4 songs lol and as much as I love her, it's odd that she didn't care to learn the lipsyncs considering that's how you secure money for your charity.
Vietnamese American here. English is hard especially with the transition from Vietnamese to English, but Plastique speaks perfect English and definitely did not even try with the lipsyncs. Also the "we don't have (insert music artist here) in Vietnam" is a joke because they definitely listen to American music lol
The English as a 2nd language argument only applies for improv and comedy challenges. Maybe she Plastique should learn from the Drag Race Philippines Queens about lipsyncing. This is the fatal flaw of the elimination format because Queens can get away from coasting or not doing the lipsyncs properly.
Whatever she said doesn't change the fact that she could learn the lyrics... And I get that she doesn't want to do male vocals, but what if they get a song with male vocals only. I know that it is very rare but could happen
I guess she'll only not do male vocals if there's a large portion of female vocals in the song. Otherwise she'll just be doing nothing, and this was also kinda proven by how there was a male only song on episode 2.
Oh my god, like, can we talk about Plastique Tiara's runway looks on RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars 9? I mean, they are totally gorgeous and, like, so well made, but seriously, how many times is she gonna play the "culture card"? It's like, we get it, your heritage is important and all, but can we get some variety, please? The judges are, like, never gonna criticize a cultural look because, hello, who wants to be called a racist? But honestly, it's getting super tiring and predictable as the season goes on. Mix it up, girl! Also, the other queens, like, totally avoided snipping Plastique 'cause they didn't want to, like, deal with her fans freaking out.
English is such an easy language to learn compared to other ones like french or mandarin. That being said, all languages have their difficulty so congrats to anyone who knows more than 1 !
I actually thought it was funny when she stopped lipsyncing for the male rapper part and pointed at Angeria (or whoever it was she was lipsyncing against that episode).
Hardest language??? Come on now, learning a new language is always a struggle, but English is one of the easiest languages to learn compared to so many others
Bs, English is one of the easiest languages in the world. It has no declination, no cases, nouns don't have genders, more or less eazy pronunciation, maybe not consistent, but easy. It's my second language and I learn others and it's clearly the easiest one (ok, at least to me). Maybe her native language being vietnamese made it harder to learn a language from another continent, but gurl
Yeah as much as she is my bias, her "intentionally" not lip syncing is kinda got on my nerve. Like my second language is English (my fisrt is also Vietnameseborn and raise in the country for the majorityof my school years), but even I know english songs so well that I lip syncing to it unintentionally. I buy the "have too much to think about" cause that's what cause Mo heart on their OG season, but miss Plastique there is no excuse ya beautiful, but I hope it's just to English songs that you struggle with cause, if I see you doing the same thing in your own language 😤
@@khahuynh6689 can u really understand english, because i dont think u understood that Plastique is intentionally not lip syncing the MALE PARTS or MALE RAP because its not her character. she always tries but Roxxy, Angeria, Gottmik and everyone else is just competed with is just better.
English is easy, try to speak romantics languages... Every single thing has a gender, English is easy. If you don't know the past of a verb ,say did plus the verb for example. Now try to say the past, future and present in french, Portuguese and spanish correct,it's hard 98% of the verbs is only ed in the final, English is EASY.
The hardest part of English is your inconsistent vowels. At least in my language, our vowels are "straight" so even if I've never seen a word before, I can pronounce it because our vowels often stay the same sound. English vowels go up and down (I call it wavy); the amount of times I was made fun of for not being able to pronounce a word correctly even though your vowel sounds are inconsistent! You have to learn all of these rules for English, just for majority of things to break those rules. The difficulty of a language is subjective; for me, English was incredibly hard to learn.
english is objectively a much harder language to learn lol. spanish is really only tricky for english speakers, and even then it’s still not really comparable.
@@rexstylusMost Filipinos learn English from grade school onwards, though. And I think Marina was privileged enough to have a good formal education, so it's not the same. (Not downplaying Marina here btw - our situation in the PH is different from Vietnam)

English is actually one of the easiest language to learn. It is as easy as Spanish. A hard, even very had language to learn, is French. Trust me, I know, I am french and I see how hard people struggle to learn it. French is always hard to learn. When I learned English and Spanish, it was a piece of cake.
