I think of this song as almost like a genre-less song. There’s a brief verse where Krayzie raps yeah, but for the most part it’s just like very experimental, free form harmonizing. I definitely agree about it being a musical masterpiece. People talk about artists who have people say about them “their voice is like an instrument”, but people throw that phrase out too loosely. I hear it get said about guys like Young Thug or Future, and no disrespect to them because I am a fan of both of them, especially Young Thug. But no, you wanna know who _really_ uses their voice like an instrument, Krayzie Bone does. And this song is a prime example of it. That’s why this song sounds awesome in good headphones and in clear quality. The way he layers all his vocals is just beautiful.

Mo Thugs: Family Scriptures was a compilation album from Bone thugs n Harmony independent record label "Mo Thugs" All the artist were signed under bone, this was thier official outing to the world. Lazy, Krayzie & Flesh primarily had a couple features on this project. Bizzy start his own label 7th sign. This is the 1st of a 4 album collection, ghetto cowboy was released on the 2nd volume and as you know All good was released on this volume. Lastly this album has more of a E1999 vibe to it & volume 2 has much of an Art of War vibe... both were good albums.

So when it comes to this beat, you’re right about the beat in the beginning being the same as Murda Mo. The song Murda Mo (as well as tons of other Hip-Hop songs) sample a song called “Moments In Love” which came out in the 80’s by a Synth-Pop group named “Art Of Noise”. Krayzie has rapped over samplings of that song on multiple occasions. Murda Mo is a pretty straight forward sample of the song. With this one you just heard, the first part is a slowed down version of Moments In Love. But the second part of the song (starting with the piano that you hear in the middle of the song where Krayzie is talking, and all the way through the rest of the song) is from the Moments In Love Quiet Storm remix of the song. A lot of people sample the original, but Krayzie is the first one who I have seen rap over a sample of the remix as well as the original.
