A few years ago I discovered this phenomenal band, as well as a host of other electronic groups. But OTT (Over The Top) stood out in the crowd, and I was immediately hooked. The melodies are so calming and otherworldly, the keys are epic, the bass player is beyond amazing, the guitar/singer guy is a perfect fit, and the drummer is very simple but absolutely perfect! +Thunder Foot Nick's voice is fed through the filter section of a synth (MS20) and various other FX. This is reproduced live using a software synth and FX chain on the Macbook - Ott uses a midi controller (Remote SL) to tweak the filter setings while Nick is singing... with a heavenly robot voice that was implanted in his gob.
I think the chords are Gmaj7/Em7/Bm7/Dmaj7 but if anyone could shed light on how to attempt to reproduce some of those juicy synth tones I would be forever grateful

There are absolutely no words to describe how beautiful this is. It blows the original out of the park. No fucks given.
I think it's the live drums and slightly 'loose' timing (still pretty tight, but not sequencer tight) that gives it a more organic quality
