In this crazy world it is so nice to watch nice people do nice things. I am from Texas and if I ever get to England and surrounding areas these are the exact things I will be doing. History, good food , good drink, and laughter. God Bless you nice people.
She absolutely is worth it 100% & you're her biggest fan. I love watching how down to Erth Helen is, love watching her drink her pints and enjoy her food, we should see more lovely ladies doing this instead of watching women eat salads & drink sips of water lol. She's my kind of best friend who would encourage you to eat the cake and love life. You guys just match so well, I say it every time. Looks like you had an absolute blast. Thanks for taking us along with yous 💕
I love food! No salads here, unless it's as a side to something else. But much as I'd love too, drinking 3 glasses of red would have me asleep on the table. Same with more than 2 pints over a long period. Such a shame. So much water has to be sipped while everyone else has the plonk. I'm always the designated driver for our little village supper club. Me and a guy who has to drive him mother home after we return because she baby sat for him. 6 people get to enjoy the food and the expensive wine. 2 of us share a large bottle of fizzy water and get to claim 1 non-alcoholic drink on the tab. I think we come off badly there.
Like others, I thought this was going to be the Engagement stream, a luxury hotel, going to a nice restaurant, one of your favourite places and pubs. It had everything needed to set the scene for the perfect proposal. Helen kept saying it was so romantic, but it was James just being extra nice to Helen because she works so hard ❤. Very thoughtful, James. Have a ring handy next time!😉. Another lovely video as always.
Nooo, she's just happy. That's what Northerners are like. Well, there are 2 types of Northerners. The miserable old git, sit in a corner studying one pint all night type and the happy, talk to anybody, makes the best of every situation type like Helen. She's adorable.
I absolutely love York. The architecture is outstanding. You can walk away hours there. I people watch and when i see old people walk along arm in arm i think how wonderful they got to spend old age together. L❤
Its a big YES! From me Helen was worth every penny you spent and more. Looked like you had a wonderful time and York is a very beautiful place to spend quality time.
Love this! it's like watching a vlog with all the best bits! As I watched my husband joined me, he loves seeing what food places have to offer, and having a look at the pubs, when you went to Valhalla he began to tell me he popped in there last year. Great job guys!! This makes us want to book a weekend away right now ❤❤
Can’t believe you asked that question James!!!! Of course she is! She’s a bloody Princess!!! You’re batting well out of your league! You’re opening the batting for England mate with Helen! When in fact you should be opening the batting for Kexborough 3rd team !!😂 You lucky lad!!❤
She's a lucky girl too. I have a Northerner husband quite like James in many ways. They are lovely men to be with. Kind, caring, don't show off, good to the people they love. Can't get much better than that. Mine's a much better cook though. Thank goodness because I got bored of cooking decades ago but I do love a nice meal.
Love the vlog but maybe train music instead of track at the end ? Watched a lot of your videos now and realising I haven't seen enough of our beautiful country . ❤❤
I absolutely adore York; it's got a special magical atmosphere. Got a hack for you if you want to go into the Minster free of charge and quicker, because normally the queue is massive. If you tell the guards at the door that you wish to pray in one of the private chapels, they will let you in immediately. But please do have a little prayer, (I always do) and maybe give a donation to light a candle, otherwise it's cheating a bit, and that's not nice.
York is Class. 👌✨🏛️🏺🍽️🍻 Long overdue a trip there - tending, always, to visit around Xmas, which seems to maximise it's historic ambience 🎄✨ We also (nearly always) end the afternoon in the Carriage Bar of the Railway Museum 🚂🍾🚃🥂 surrounded by engineering magnificence, whilst supping a very nice glass (or two) of their very reasonably priced, red wine! 🍷+🍷+ 🤪.. 😆✨ FAB vlog, as usual! 👍✨ Many thanks, Jamlen. 🌟🌟
BEST VIDEO YET. Van Gogh and Railway Museum. Went and saw the Duchess of Hamilton AND the Evening Star which was in the workshop, 45 years ago before we moved back to Australia. Thank you so much. ❤🇦🇺
York looks so beautiful. It reminds me of a cross between the elegance of Bath crossed with the friendliness of Cork, Eire. Gonna have to visit. Thanks guys ❤
Hi beautiful people your missing the Level's of the windows on streets, Tartarian structures, Tartaria and the mudfloods, ,the structures have been here for 1000s of year's, bridge's, tunnels, railways, Canals, cathedral's etc Tartarian Empire ❤😊
Hi Helen and James... yours is my favourite channel! 😍 The next time you come to York, you should visit the Brew York tap room and beer hall on Walmgate! You would both love it!
Hi, York one of our favourite places too and we don't live too far away. The Black Swan, you didn't say much about it, did you read about the angry resident ghost who stands at the bar wearing a bowler hat? Well my husband saw him not realising it was him when he walked past. It's TRUE! 😮
Great stuff James and Helen. We were in York a couple of weeks ago and agree totally that it is a very pricey place. However It is just wonderful and great for a treat. Love Valhalla too spent a few hours in there!
I live equal distance between Harrogate leeds & York the anomaly for me is when I'm in York I feel as though I'm on holiday its weird I can't explain it only 20 minutes drive from where I live its a crazy phenomenon it could of been the early evening drinks near the minster on a long summer's balmy evening & good company.
You were having a luxury weekend and by the river eating your pastries, when I was sooo disappointed. Helen put her hand on your shoulder and there was no ring! What a windup 😉😉💜
Nice to still see a lovely traditional, olde England city not yet spoilt by . . . I'll leave that one to you. I'm from Canterbury and its such a horrible place these days. So James and Helen, if you do venture 'dan sowf'. Save your time and money And don't come to Canterbury. Maybe Tunbridge Wells or go to Benidorm again ❤
Full of feral kids. High crime. Homelessness, professional beggars. Loads of stores closed and now it's full of coffee shops. Parking is extravagant and the head of the church of England is a woke, lefty, looney plonker. Apart from that..... you may like it 🤐
I agree things so very expensive now..and not that good in restaurants..I always get disappointed..so stopped going...doing my own thing at home much cheaper and better quality etc..thank u for the trip around york..loved it..the hotel was lovely. Suspect you both had lovely dovey morning after heads at the breakfast table..lol..take care...
Pleased yo7 enjoyed York, I live just outside, nice to visit, but it’s always rammed, and pricey, next time have a pint in The Snikelway on Goodramgate, you two would love it in there, proper pub, and decent prices. Take care both. 🍺👍
I spend hours watching the tension & confrontation of RUclips 'auditors' - but do like to finish with a gentle and polite Helen and Mr. Helen at 5am. :) (Relieved, and surprised, you survived Yr Wyddfa / the Snowdon challenge J.)!
Fabulous video. York looks an amazing place to visit, the Van Gogh Museum especially. So glad you both enjoyed such a luxurious break, everyone needs it at some point. I would love to visit the cathedral and castle... something for me to do in the future! Thanks you so much x
The cat on the outside of the pub is part of the york cat trail walk it’s great and takes you to parts of York you probably otherwise wouldn’t see! Enjoy your time in York it really is a fab city x
Thank you Helen & James I live in Doncaster it’s only 30 minutes train ride to York I’m there a lot. I’m very lucky. One Day hopefully I will meet you and Buy you a Drink. 👍
Loved your luxury weekend tour. I don't have to spend money, I can just enjoy watching you two spend it.😄At least you had some decent weather, no rain. You two did a great job showing us all around York, too bad it was crowded in a lot of places, you'll have to bring us back at a later time. Thank you and see ya next week.
Love York! My lad lives in knaresborugh he told us to visit the vanhalla!! But we didn't ( kicking myself now) so next visit a definatly! Again love you two and have you been to Thirsk there's a charity shop every other shop!!😂 X

Hi. I've been thinking about doing the Van Gogh thing, it's on till the end of May. It's very similar to a light show in Lincoln which I saw recently. I will go midweek, I really don't like fighting my way through crowds of people. My hotel will be my car. ilona
