When I was in NYC visiting my aunt and uncle, my aunt (who is Japanese) brought me to this Japanese store to buy matcha and I bought MATCHA POCKY it was SOOO good. btw matcha is a green tea powder for those of you who don't know what it is
What's awesome is that Pocky is at my local Wal-Mart now. Of course, there's only chocholate and strawberry, but the fact that it's even there is amazing to me. I go my Asian market quite often, and many things I get there regularly are now showing up in everyday grocery stores.
I'm not trying to be mean or to hate or to do anything to cause a fight but I just wanted to say all her subscribers do they just sit there watching someone eat food?
I've had the regular strawberry pocky before and it is nothing compared to the heart shaped ones. I love the extra kick of strawberry in those. I can't even go back to the normal strawberry pocky anymore. So delicious!
I've seen Cappucino Pocky but not winter pocky - sounds tasty! I discovered and LOVE Japanese coffee. Smokey roasted taste. I bought it and a woman laughed at me and said "it's not Tim Horton's you know." She is so right - much. much better!
Too funny. I just now stumbled onto this video. Two weeks ago I got some of the heart-shaped strawberry pocky at an Anime convention and as soon as I realized the sticks were heart-shaped, I honestly thought to myself, "Emmy would love this".
To be quite honest, I didnt think pocky would interest me in terms of being reviewed in a video, but youve done it again emmy. I sat through the whole video and I was sad when it ended. Haha I cant wait for more videos!
U know what this video is perfect! My aunt went to the mall and I watched this video and I was like ' oh gotta tell my aunt to buy me one' and I did... I just have to wait for her
I was able to find the originals at my local walmart which i thought was funny. Any way i got one pack the other day and when i got home, i tried them. I went back today and picked up 10 boxes XD. Gonna be my new gaming snack. Also awesome vid by the way, keep up the good work ^_^
That's a great way of determining if you're an adult. Do you eat Pocky holding the stick or do you save the choko end for last? My grim realization that I was an adult was when I took a small detour to avoid stepping in a big puddle. Moments after a small kid took a detour just to run to the middle of the puddle and jump up and down a few times before continuing his way. I felt sooooo old. :(
Is the giveaway closed? IF not, EMMY awesome pocky! I really want to try the salty pocky. I haven't tried that one before. The strawberry one is like the blueberry one. It also has bits of blueberry on the stick. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I live in Canada and the only Asian foods we have are coconut water, aloe Vera juice, those jelly straws, yin yan sticks(the biscuit with the strawberry or chocolate dip) and pocky they are all good!
Oh i love pocky! It's way better than "mikado"! Sadly, we only have the chocoale and ichigo ones here (got it from an asian shop in zurich, but it was made for thailand so it says thaiglico). I hope they're going to get peach pocky soon because i looove peach flavour! And you're awesome, emmy!
In Vallejo we have strawberry, chocolate, and white chocolate or vanilla. In San Francisco they sell milk chocolate and dark chocolate. And the same strawberry kind that Emmy got and plain strawberry.. The dark chocolate pocky is thicker than the original picky and the strawberry with dark pink crumbles are thinner. (:
You have the cutest reactions to eating Pockys! You got me to head out to the Asian Cultural Center down the street right when I wake up; I would go now but its midnight.
I would love to try these things I always wanted to try things from around the world and these is a great experiance thanks for everything u do love your videos!!!:)
So far I've only tried the milk chocolate Pocky, which I really liked, but now I want to try the Strawberry too.I recall seeing an almond crunch flavour too,or something alone those lines.
Haha teasing us with eating so much Pocky. ;) The stuff is additive and I want to try the other flavors only have tried the original one here in the states. ;)
o yea love the opening screaming kids! ;) oo also for the dotto candy.. if you could tell me the company instead? i would loove that...! :D also it's not candy.. but could you do a takoyaki video?!
I found 2 flavors of these at my local 5 Below. I found chocolate almond and strawberry. I'm not sure if it's the exact same as this strawberry. But there was a heart window on the inside packs and the strawberry looked the same as this. But the outside package was totally different.
Nice video about Pocky this time. Wonder if you do some video about Hi-chu I like to know some new flavors they have in Japan so I can find them in Taiwan when I go back in the summer. I also like if there is any new pokemon and Sailor Moon candies videos you can make, since sailor moon is coming back out in Japan. Thanks you.
Pocky can get really sad here in L.A. All melted together, chocolate runs, and then some of the sticks are naked. Then when you get the Pocky inside, the chocolate solidifies and all the sticks clump together. Sigh, poor Pocky. I usually see regular and strawberry, but Marukai Market had coconut and other flavors, mmmm! Hey, maybe I can take the naked sad Pocky sticks and put them in Nutella like the Nutella & Go packs! That would ROCK, Nutella Pocky!!!
My favourite sort of Pocky is the Green Tea chocolate ones! I had them when I went to Japan in 2007. I am not sure if they still have that variety, because it was a special one, but if they do you should definitely try it. But it was delicious. I can't find it anywhere here :(
it's like pocky fine dining! I thought you were going to review the giant pocky too, the ones that are like $8 per pack and covered in chocolate and toppings. those are so intense!!!
I could't find a comment about Mikado, This is a European brand of chocolate-covered biscuit sticks, there similar to Pocky in Japan. and have been sold in the UK for a few months now. I'm surprised at the price ¥138-198 that's £0.92p to £1.32p Where Mikado is priced at £1.50p which is ¥224 in the UK
The worts Part of eating pocky is when it all gone.
True..
*worst
Yes!!!

@superotter24 - Yes, but they're seasonal so they're not easy to collect all at once for a taste test.
i was eating Strawberry pocky while watching this video, lol
I regret not buying some at the store today... :/
I was eating chocolate kind
UGH I wish I had an Asian market near me LOL. I have been wanting to try Ramune Soda and Pocky :( LOL.

I'm not sure I would feel comfortable sending my address to someone from another country but thanks anyways.
I doubt I'll be around a walmart that sells them. I hardly ever leave my small town LOL.
I love ramune. Get orange, grape, lemon, and blueberry
I'm not trying to be mean or to hate or to do anything to cause a fight but I just wanted to say all her subscribers do they just sit there watching someone eat food?

Pocky is awesome! I love the strawberry pocky but I would love to try some of the Japanese flavors like tropical mango and rare cheesecake.

In Vallejo we have strawberry, chocolate, and white chocolate or vanilla. In San Francisco they sell milk chocolate and dark chocolate.
