Causes thyroid cancer, pancreatitus, kidney failure, 52% risk of gastroparesis bowel obstruction, suicidal depression, heart issues, but more common side effects of Wegovy include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, stomach (abdomen) pain, headache, for only $1,000 a month. Exercise, quit smoking, eating better, and not so much soda and junk food is a whole lot cheaper and way way less risky.
Sure, keep virtue signaling. Obesity kills. The side effects exist, but for 95% they are very minimal and transient. The cancer warning is because of a theoretical risk after they found it in rodent thyroids who have massively more glp-1 receptors there than humans. Not seen in actual humans beyond what they found in placebo folks.
Just do one meal a day for a month. Lose the same amount of weight, zero side effects, zero expense. But you need a moderate amount of self control. Weight may bounce back over time, but it does with everything unless you make permanent lifestyle changes.
What kind of love are we talking about? A man's love for a fine cigar? The love between a man and a woman? Thor's love for his enchanted hammer? (I love this channel too, btw) 😁
Say what you want Greggy, ozempic IS game changing and one just has to WEIGH-IN (see what I did there) on the side effects vs. positive effects. The ONLY bad thing about it is slightly higher heart rate (better than having diabetes or stroke) and the price.
I'm willing to bet that the next video will reveal that it's not as effective as switching to an unprocessed plant based diet. With the plant based diet having a whole host of desirable side effects.
Yes I see what you did there. You tried to make a pun and failed because you used the wrong word. It is "weigh", not "weight". I face palm so hard when people who can't even write at the level of an 11-year-old try to give health advice and make unsubstantiated claims about side effects of sophisticated medications.
Found alot of surgical patients whom are on GLP1's that have fasted for 24hours + and found to still have FULL stomachs (thus surgery was cancelled). Probably some unintended consequence to having food sit in your stomach for 24hrs plus.
Ozempic is a dream come true for obese people who want to lose weight without actually doing any work. Do you want to slim down without giving up that daily double bacon cheese burger? Ozempic! Do you want to be lazy, gluttonous AND slim? Now is your time to shine.
Yeah this is still a good point. I'm not completely against ozempic and other medicines for health (rapamycin for example could help people live much longer). But for weight loss it's kinda funny that we need drugs just to be a normal weight. If people just ate natural foods like they did 1000s of years ago then there'd be no issues. I think most people have no idea how important fibre is. I don't eat anything without fibre in it. Impossible to be obese with a very high fibre, low fat diet.
I’m taking a compounded semaglutide. I’ve known what to do for a decade (WFPB) but struggle to stay on track for more than 3 months. I already take metformin for PCOS. Now with long COVID limiting my physical activity, I decided to use the glp1 drug until I get to a healthy weight then decrease dosage as much as possible. I am eating WFPB most days. I lost 15 pounds and want to lose another 40. I don’t think about food recreationally since the third week. I did crave a cheeseburger for a few days so I got one. Ate about 1/3 of it then didn’t want it again or since. This “lazy” person is grateful that I can attack this from the calories in side because physical activity can put me on bed rest and make me miss work (post exertion malaise from long COVID)
@@Brian-gk1cdIt is an interesting point, because yes, a small percentage of obese people are obese because of mental illness and food addiction. The majority of the 80% of overweight Americans are just overweight because they overindulge in food and exercise inadequately, but mainly it is the food. And so your joke about mentally ill people just being lazy doesn't make a lot of sense here as a comparison to the majority of overweight people, who just cannot truthfully blame their size on mental illness.
I'm going to send these particular videos to my patients asking about these meds (I otherwise send many of these videos to my patients and recommend the books).
I started taking Trulicity... been vegan for 8 years, but all the carbs were not helping, and I became Diabetic. I am taking it only until Feb when I am doing my AC 1 again. I was taking Metformin, and I take them both because each does something different. I did Keto and am doing intermittent fasting with low carbs, and I am down 15 pounds. My blood pressure was bad and now it has gotten better.
Low carbs is not what is recommended on this channel. Look up the book "how not to diet" by Dr Gregor. If you became diabetic then you were eating the wrong carbs.
Big fan of the channel but this video was a little pointless. Just basically saying to be cautious and we don't know the very long term effects. Should've done a longer video.
@mamenamamena I understand that, but I think the format for this particular series doesn't work very well. The videos are too short. A 2 part series of each being 12-15 minutes would make more sense.
As a fan of the channel he does all his videos like this. He rolls them out in small segments. That said I agree with you. I wish he would just do longer videos. It makes it hard to share it with ppl when I have to send them multiple videos. Would be much better just to send one video that's longer
@@Nice-sm5hr Neither are true lol. Ideally everyone would eat a WFPB diet, but I'm not naive, I know that will never happen. Ozempic at least can make people healthier and save lives.

there’s not any real question that Semaglutide is a wonder drug. There are many many people alive today who would not have made it this far without it.
Drugs like these knock themselves down and are completely irrelevant if one can choose his/her foods in accordance with health. Low density foods don't require ANY restrictions, just knowledge and consumption.
@wadepatton2433 if that's working well enough for you and you've achieved your fitness goals, then congrats. It's not enough for a lot of people. The hunger is real, and the temptations around us too strong thanks to the scientists at Big Food.
Imagine humanity existing as long as it has with such a complete deficiency of Semaglutide to keep our weight down! How did we manage to make it this far? Oh the struggles we've endured! /s
This is a bit facetious. We’ve seen an unprecedented spike in obesity and metabolic diseases since about 1970, which also coincides with a marked increase in UPFs and availability of highly palatable “food”. Also, several governments bought into the lie that fat is bad for you and the resulting campaigns caused sugar and sugar alternatives to be used instead (I don’t have to explain why this contributes to obesity!) Personal choice is not the only thing contributing to the epidemic and certainly not the only force working against obese individuals
