I have lived in Brookfield for 29 yrs on Sept 22, 1979 I remember a tornado coming thru Brookfield in 1983 or 1984 it was a Fri we were taking our children for a fish fry when the rains got real violent. We lived on the so side of Brookfield, the storn was north and west of us. We found out when we came home how bad it was on that side of our town. Well take care and thanks for writing
The 2008 storm! This is when Elm Grove (i live there) was just swallowed in water and all the streets near the creek were a good 2-4 feet underwater. Everyone rode their bikes through the water the next day when things calmed down.. :) good times in EG!
I live in Racine and damn I remember this day. I stayed about 30 minutes after school because of a tornado warning in Racine, and the tornado could've hit my school too, luckly it didn't but still sucked. Basically, the WHOLE school got detention XD

I also live in Brookfield, i was pissed that day the SJV festival was cancelled
i live there too, its not that bad (not any tornadoes practically) ---- the rain is horrible but who cares....i was pissed too that sjv was canceled
