Love how shows like this always start painting with a brush then have this amazing mirror flat finish when they're done. Which we all know is impossible...unless you use a spray gun. ;)
Or if your stuck with a brush try a 1:1 of paint and spray gun fluid. Mix it all in one can and apply like normal. The fluid will allow the brush strokes to lay flat before the paint dries and you should have a nice mirror flat finish.
Man, I wish I had a wall that long to build me a shelf for my TV like he built. jealous.

That's not true, You use the brush to cut in the edges then a quality roller to do the wall, just as they have been doing it for hundreds of years, spray gun is only for very large or commercial situation

@@-PORK-CHOP- Been painting apartments for over 30 yrs, taught by an old sailor and the only way you're going to get a finish like that is with a gun. Rollers are great but they still leave small marks that show up. Spray guns are for times you want an ultra flat mirror like finish with absolutely no bumps no matter what size job your painting.. Even foam rollers don't give a completely flat finish.
The tip I gave above actually works when using a brush (EDIT- really great on cabinets). Give it a try on a small project.

Like the fireplace and TV cabinet. Why use expensive marine plywood for an indoor application in a living room? The rope art is great project. TFS

The rug is too small for the space. Front legs of the sofa have to be on top of the rug. The is the rule in ID dahling.....

  • @NJ-xp4eb

Love the idea concept but what do they do then in summer? Redecorate? And where will the people now sit whose sofa spaces have been taken away (one full sofa missing) to make the room more elegant? I loved some of the other makeovers very much but this one very generic minimal millenial and just not practical and please please please don't misuse lovely books that someone took the time to write and often stood the test of decades to put plants which will most certainly leave water marks on top of them. It is an outdated horrible trend that should have never happened in the first place.
