As a resident of Arizona, I’m so glad that we are finally getting a new thrill based coaster after 30 years with Desert Storm in 1992. Don’t get me wrong, I adore desert storm for being stupid intense and charmingly janky but I’m so excited for the hot wheels coaster!
Yesterday I had the chance to ride Pantheon 3 times, and let me say, it’s by far one of the, if not the greatest roller coaster I have ever ridden. I think people who enjoy roller coasters will enjoy it. Go ride it, so much fun
I'm surprised American Dreier Looping didn't make the list. I heard its sister Mindbender at the West Edmonton Mall is insane. I guess it's not technically a "new" coaster but it will be new for alot of American enthusiasts who never got to Mexico to ride it
I would seriously reconsider Ice Breaker. As someone that has ridden it several times including the famous row 7 and row 9, it blew me away! Not saying it will be the best coaster this year, but easily will be the most surprising coaster, hands down.
As someome who lives less than an hour away from Fun Spot Atlanta, words can’t describe how excited I am for Arieforce One! Both RMC Ibox coasters opening this year look to be top notch
I could see myself visiting Mattel Park and Castles n' Coasters in Phoenix one day. They aren't parks one could spend the entire day at but put them together in one day and that's perfect in my opinion.

Rode Pantheon 3 days ago. I assure you the launches are powerful than any video you can watch of the ride. I went to Busch Gardens after watching this ride 30 plus times on RUclips. This ride is the truth. Well worth any wait time you might encounter when waiting in line.
Just came back from vacation in Orlando. Omg.. Iron Gwazi was phenomenal and as a hybrid coaster, it can be up there with the thrill of Velocicoaster. As far as riding Guardians of the Galaxy..WOW..a 20 out of 10. The best experience ever and no video will do it justice.
Here here! Most of their roller coasters are no longer exactly earth shattering or record-breaking. They abandoned that idea along long time ago. In fact, if I could, I would dare them to make a really scary one intended for teenagers. They will probably balk and say that it's not the Disney way; they don't realize the Disney Way has become boring and stale, not to mention overpriced.
Just got back from Orlando and rode Ice Breaker and Iron Gwazi. Ice Breaker was a bit of a disappointment. After getting off I told my wife that it felt like Sea World was trying to make a middle tier roller coaster to transition people up to their bigger ones (Tigris at Busch Gardens is definitely superior). Iron Gwazi on the other hand was absolutely fantastic. It has that runaway train feel that you mentioned in this video. It's worth the ride...
@@kuuumba2125 IG was intense but man I just wish it was a few elements longer. Every element is punchy but every time I've ridden it, slamming into the brakes with as much speed as it has just made me wish it was a few seconds longer, it definitely could've kept up that same breakneck pacing with a few more elements. All about what you prefer I suppose but I'll take a slightly less intense ride with double the length over a ride that's marginally more intense but half the length.
For those planning on coming to Arizona, PLEASE prepare yourself. It gets crazy hot here. So many times we hear on the news that someone ended up in the hospital with dehydration. Some people have ended up in even worse situations because they didn’t drink enough water.

I have been tracking the site progress on my page with my drone on, it looks really cool, it looks like they are just starting the construction of the coaster (footings). They whole Crystal Lagoons Island Resort is suppose to be ready in December right before the Super Bowl, we'll see.... Either way I am super excited because it will open soon

I'm glad to see the positive reception. I have a Black Friday bundle all ready to go so I can visit there whenever, but I'll probably go in July while Summer Nights is going on. 1. Dude I remember watching D23 in 2018 where tron was announced for Florida I just was through the roof. I’ve know that ride since it debuted in Shanghai disney and it was possibly one of the most craziest rides I’ve Seen.

I've been excited about Tron ever since it opened in Shanghai, but the main thing that makes me question its place on this list is uncertainty about whether it will really open in 2022. Disney hasn't given any indication of a concrete opening date and is not currently promoting it as a 2022 coaster, which makes me think they're prioritizing bringing Guardians in ASAP and may hold over Tron as the big ride announcement for 2023. Ice Breaker just had its media day and the enthusiast buzz is that it's more intense than expected and may be a hit with the coaster-freak crowd (though on the other hand GP families may find it a bit more than they bargained for). It sounds almost like the Gravity Group junior woodie of launch coasters--those bunny hills have a kick.

We never know until coasters open and we ride them, but right now it’s hard for me to imagine Pantheon being better than Iron Gwazi. That said, I’m still feeling bitter with both parks for keeping those coasters closed when I visited this last summer. 😡
I fully agree. Also I’m one of the many who bought a SEAS pass in fall 2019 with the intent to ride all of the new for 2020 coasters, and book and re book flights to Florida and VA several times, because they kept pushing their opening dates. BGT was the only park to offer a consolation free ticket to ride Gwazi after my passes expired, but my home park SWSD offered nothing. At least I got to ride Stingray in SWSA, since it opened pre shutdown.

So because you have a " beef " because Iron Gwazi was pushed back....you drop it to 3??? Ridiculous. Countless magazines and groups already ranking Iron Gwazi as the number one coaster globally. It leaves Steel Vengeance at 2. I HAVE ridden both.....and Gwazi is beyond soectacular.

Iron gwazi was amazing, and Icebreaker is okay but super uncomfortable, it's like they took Tigres, and shrunk the cars down by just enough to make long legs painful. Tigres is so much better than ice breaker.

there's a new roller coaster that i'm not sure if you had heard of.. i forget which six flags it's at.. i think it's a six flags in texas.. but it's like the first water coaster.. it's some aquaman coaster. i was bored and looking up rides and it popped up. i didn't know if you saw it but i thought you ought to know
umm fyi.. i'm not a roller coaster person, but my 26 year old brother and almost 70 (yes, i'm saying my mom is 70) year old mother are big roller coaster people. my mom doesn't do many of the crazy roller coasters but her favorite roller coasters at six flags great adventure are nitro and el toro. but my mom rode jersey devil before it debuted a bit (cuz we are season pass holders) and she personally loved the ride but found the restraints and chair to be really uncomfortable for her to sit in. i'm just saying from her opinion. i just thought you may want to know. i love theme parks but not roller coasters. i let my mom, brother, and my bf go on it while i hold their stuff.
Why do all dive coasters feel all the same and so uninspired in design? They also always feel so short. Dive, loop into banked turn corkscrew, brake run, a couple drops and maybe a helix and brake run into station. They all feel the same.
I’ve ridden both, and I knew IG was my favorite all time coaster right when I hit the brake run. I’ve ridden SV 8 times over 3 visits to Cedar Point and it just didn’t live up to the hype. Sure it’s long but it just felt slower than it should, and the airtime wasn’t nearly as crazy as I’ve heard it hyped up to have. IG is non stop insanity from drop to brakes, it doesn’t slow down for a half second. It doesn’t feel short either, it’s pretty much perfect in all aspects. Every element hits hard. It seems to be a very split opinion on which is better, but I’m just grateful to have the opportunity to ride them both.
@@joeygassmann5595 i felt the same way Like ive rode SV several times then steel curtain then IG... while IG was only slightly better than Steel curtain.. its NOTHING compared to SV Cedar point hit the nail on the head. Thats why SV was rated one of the top 5 scariest coasters in its 1st season. 💯💯💯💯💯💯
Emperor is yet to take a major shit as far as I know... Sea World SD has sucked for ages since the Killer Whale show died and Manta breaks every time I go... Wonder Woman is mad worth a trip to Magic Mountain... my expectations were shattered by the first drop.

I had the same thought. Arizona was never on my map for coaster trips, but with those two combined it may be a future stop.

Icebreaker is an amazing coaster for a "Family Coaster". That spike in the back row is awesome.

Pantheon is my #1. It is an awesome ride. You have to ride in the front and then go immediately again to the very back. Two totally different rides.

I literally live 3 miles from Fun Spot Atlanta. I purposely drive the long way home everyday just to see the progress the construction crew is making.

Iron gwazi was amazing, and Icebreaker is okay but super uncomfortable, it's like they took Tigres, and shrunk the cars down by just enough to make long legs painful. Tigres is so much better than ice breaker.

Busch gardens didn’t have the money to open iron qwazi after covid-19 so that’s why it was not open for a while
there's a new roller coaster that i'm not sure if you had heard of.. i forget which six flags it's at.. i think it's a six flags in texas.. but it's like the first water coaster.. it's some aquaman coaster. i was bored and looking up rides and it popped up. i didn't know if you saw it but i thought you ought to know

umm fyi.. i'm not a roller coaster person, but my 26 year old brother and almost 70 (yes, i'm saying my mom is 70) year old mother are big roller coaster people. my mom doesn't do many of the crazy roller coasters but her favorite roller coasters at six flags great adventure are nitro and el toro. but my mom rode jersey devil before it debuted a bit (cuz we are season pass holders) and she personally loved the ride but found the restraints and chair to be really uncomfortable for her to sit in. i'm just saying from her opinion. i just thought you may want to know. i love theme parks but not roller coasters. i let my mom, brother, and my bf go on it while i hold their stuff.
Why do all dive coasters feel all the same and so uninspired in design? They also always feel so short. Dive, loop into banked turn corkscrew, brake run, a couple drops and maybe a helix and brake run into station. They all feel the same.

I’ve ridden both, and I knew IG was my favorite all time coaster right when I hit the brake run. I’ve ridden SV 8 times over 3 visits to Cedar Point and it just didn’t live up to the hype. Sure it’s long but it just felt slower than it should, and the airtime wasn’t nearly as crazy as I’ve heard it hyped up to have. IG is non stop insanity from drop to brakes, it doesn’t slow down for a half second. It doesn’t feel short either, it’s pretty much perfect in all aspects. Every element hits hard. It seems to be a very split opinion on which is better, but I’m just grateful to have the opportunity to ride them both.
@@joeygassmann5595 i felt the same way Like ive rode SV several times then steel curtain then IG... while IG was only slightly better than Steel curtain.. its NOTHING compared to SV Cedar point hit the nail on the head. Thats why SV was rated one of the top 5 scariest coasters in its 1st season. 💯💯💯💯💯💯

Emperor is yet to take a major shit as far as I know... Sea World SD has sucked for ages since the Killer Whale show died and Manta breaks every time I go... Wonder Woman is mad worth a trip to Magic Mountain... my expectations were shattered by the first drop.
