4:27, this is Burmese pancakes called (Bein Mont) and it was my absolute favourite as a child living in Yangon. There are 2 versions, the red one being more sweet and the white one being more light as it has chickpeas. I loved the white one while my mother favoured the red one. Watching this is making me miss my home country! There were delicious food the moment you step outside

The stuff we apply on our face is call ‘thanakha’, it’s paste made from ground bark. It actually helps our skin keep cool since the weather in Myanmar is usually hot. There’s no special reason or occasion needed in order to wear tanakha, some people wear it everyday. It basically almost like a form of makeup here! It’s also a very big part of our Burmese culture ☺️ ( hope this answer your question and sorry in case there’s some grammar mistake, english isn’t my first language )

The movies are very amazing and beautifully made as the one that presents us the movies! I wanted to ask see people who apply something on the face what is it and for what ceremonial or other reason thanks in advance for the answer
The stuff we apply on our face is call ‘thanakha’, it’s paste made from ground bark. It actually helps our skin keep cool since the weather in Myanmar is usually hot. There’s no special reason or occasion needed in order to wear tanakha, some people wear it everyday. It basically almost like a form of makeup here! It’s also a very big part of our Burmese culture ☺️ ( hope this answer your question and sorry in case there’s some grammar mistake, english isn’t my first language )
