Beautiful!! I used gilding flakes about 5 yrs ago from another company. I was working on a card in my craft room and had the flakes in a square plastic container. Hubby walked in the room and flipped on the ceiling fan (which I usually have on-so was an normal thing for him to do). Gold flakes flew everywhere!! It was like a blizzard....and I had gold following me around for a few days. I felt like a leprechaun...lol
I love gilding flakes. I Always put them into a medium 'make and take" food container.. the rectangle one.. just because of how much they "grow" when you open them. I do have multiple companies flakes, so, I have "seasonal mixed foil" ... thank you for sharing. This IS Among my favorite card techniques. Beautiful papers/cards 😉
I love using Gilding Flakes (Gold Leafing). I have used it for years. I have ton of different colors. A little tip would be to rub it in with a sponge so that it burnishes well and then it will increase the shine. I always put more than enough down and rub it all over that way you won't miss any spots. I have had all my gilding pots for about 5 years and you'd never know I'd used any. It goes a long, long way. I love the way you grouted your cards. Great job. Now I want to get my flakes out and do some more....Cheers!
Thanks Fran! I had a feeling the gilded leafing would last a long time - a little sure goes a LONG way! I'm hoping Stampin' Up! will bring in some more colours too! Hope you give this technique a try - it's beautiful! HAPPY STAMPING!
So beautiful and stunning creations! And that gold gilding flakes sure make these cards so pretty! Also a good idea to use embossing powder. Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas and tips along the way 😊 I must try this great technique!
Oh my gosh Tina! You are so creative! Those cards are so unique and incredibly beautiful! My gold leafing should be here any day. It can't be soon enough now that I have seen your cards. Thank you so much for teaching us so well!
Hi Sandi! You'll have to let me know if you try this technique! You're going to have so much fun with the gold leafing. I'm super happy I FINALLY decided to get some - it's GORGEOUS!
@@Serenestamper Hi Tina. I got mine yesterday. It is certainly a learning curve! I giggled all the way through it as it was flying everywhere. But after practicing a couple of times, I finally was able to finish a card that satisfied me. Now that I have it down, I want to case your card. I love it so much! Thank you so much for sharing it with us!
I love love love the techniques you used on this card. I know you did this a year ago but I’m going through a lot of videos looking at different techniques and I found yours to be so interesting and useful. Thank you so much. Susan from Clarkston, Michigan. 😊
