Run fast from that dance class. You should be able to see your kid and not on your phone. Never leave your child alone with anyone outside the family. Trust no one. They are vulnerable. Find a class where you can watch. I am serious.
They are protecting the other minors in the class, who cannot consent to be photographed. Protecting children from exploitation, is not rocket science, and she should have known better than to try and film other people's children.

That's a little odd that you can't watch through a window. I grew up taking dance and there wasn't a window but it was a huge room and wide doorways so parents could stand there to watch. Also strange you couldn't even take a screenshot of the video of them dancing. As long as you feel comfortable with the girls being at that dance school then that's all that matters, but if you're feeling creeped out by it then pull them out and find a different dance school. My daughter has taken 2 different dance classes the first one she was 2 & they let us come in or watch through glass windows then a different one more of a professional place when she was 4 and we weren’t aloud to watch but we could sit outside the door & hear everything. They said it distracts the kids. Which makes sense when they are younger they are just learning basics.
My Mom always bought Hallmark ornaments for my brother and I every year, I have mine and I love that she did this for us!! I really love the family ones that you have made, I think I'm going to do that, I'll have to go back and have a bunch made to catch up to this year! Such a fun memory!!

My grandson was like Addie and took a bottle when he was a newborn but as he grew he got super attached to his mommy and would only nurse. He also took his time getting used to eating baby food. My daughter gave him his milk in a cup that has a straw and he did great with that. He’s a healthy one year old now and can be left with his grandparents and aunts and uncles and mommy doesn’t stress about it anymore. Also, I would change dance classes for the girls to one where you can watch if you want. You may not be able to record them because you can’t record the other kids but it doesn’t seem right to have your kids in that situation. Since people are able to watch it is probably ok but it seems strange to me. Take care. I love your videos!

What that app did makes sense - Its making an attempt to limit chances criminals could capture and spread video/pics of kids (or adults unaware they're being recorded) in ways that society universally considers unacceptable. Many of these apps and camera systems are dangerously insecure and do get attacked/hacked on a regular basis - Be glad they're taking a measure that is a little bit effective even if its against the "wrong" person. My 10 year old does dance and cheer - Mostly for fun (not competitive - yet, anyway) and to see her friends (she's home schooled). Though parents aren't allowed on the gym floor while kids are doing their classes/private sessions, both places have a separate parents room with a large window into the gym so moms (and dads, if they're not creepy) can watch. Though parents can come and watch their kids anytime, cameras/video are mostly not allowed without getting an ok from coaches and other parents whose kids are recorded. The only time recording is allowed without extra approval is if there's an open public event or competition, with a request full videos not be shared online - Very short clips only. I do have some fun videos of my daughter getting skills "perfect" for the first time during privates - One of her friends goes at the same time so the girls sometimes do videos of each other working with their coach to see for themselves how they're doing.

"We were worried because they've never taken a bottle before!" REALLY ANYONE READING THIS PLEASE THINK OF DAYCARE IN ADVANCE! Not you because it's family, but whT a nightmare it can be for teacher and baby especially when you have 3 or 4 in your class!😱

Try a sippy cup or straw in a drink. My kids never took a bottle the went straight to a cup. They used to make a nipple you put on a bottle that’s like a sippy cup spout.

I started a tradition when my grandchildren were born, each year we bought ornaments with the year and their picture. I now have a special tree that’s 4’ and has 57 pictures on it. We have a 16, 15, 14, & 12 year olds. Each year is always fun looking for the framed ornaments! At some point I’m going to give them to their parents! I think Addie being with your mom may help her with the bottle and not be as attached to you. Love your girls ❤

I understand the app protecting the kids but what if a teacher did something bad and the owners protected them. And I couldn't of recorded anything.

Looking at this video, I realise that I've been here since 2018. Wow, that's a lot of time I invest and get comfort in return.
