Wow! Great Video Idea! Dick and Kon goes hand to hand and I never even thought about it! Some of my personal choices I could think from the top of my head: Virginia Woolf'sThe Waves- Tarkovsky's Mirror Murakami's South of the border west of the sun- Hopper's Paintings Infinite Jest-Neon Genesis Evangelion and End of Eva( I am not joking the similarities they have is bonkers to me)
Thanks for the recommendations! Many years ago I watched the first episode of Neon Genesis but never finished the series, I'll make sure to get around to it sometime soon.
Great video and concept! Though I'm not sure if I agree on the Dostojewski/Tarkovsky, as I feel as though Tarkovsky gives his scenes far more room to breathe, whereas Dostojewski is more convoluted, especially in regard to plot
Cool video. For some reason Andrei Rublev is the only Tarkovsky I couldn't get into. And someday I should read more Dostoevsky. Never read Rilke's Brigge, only his poems. But I loved Wings of Desire. I watched it in the cinema when it came out and bought at that time Julio Cortázar's Around the Day in Eighty Worlds, that's why both (film and book) connect for me although they are totally different. And of course Nick Cave and Peter Handke, who wrote the film, if I remember correctly ... For Dick: Yes, Paprika is a good choice (I haven't read the Yasutaka Tsutsui novel it is based on, but other stories by him. My favourite story by Yasutaka Tsutsui has maybe a little bit of Ballard vibes but in a different way ...). For me as fitting film for Ubik comes to mind: Abre los ojos (or the American remake: Vanilla Sky).
The fact you said Paprika and not Inception. Legendary.
Man, you come up with some of the most inspired video concepts. Just phenomenal.
Very cool concept, haven't seen other booktubers do this. Definitely do another one!
Really nice jingle !! Tickles me ears.
Cool vid concept, would love to see more recommendations!
Really interesting concept. I loved Ubik, and will definitely try out Paprika soon.

This is such an amazing idea! I love it.
Great idea, bro! I really dig this video idea. I might have to take you up on the challenge to create my own.
