This is the Most Solemn Occasions of the Roman Catholic Church, the Dedication of he Church. This is the Anointing of the Altar, In which the Walls and the Altar Table is Sanctified and Blessed by the Bishop. The Bishop is the Ordinary of the Celebration.... It's not an Abomination and not Scary.
@CATOLICO CRISTIANO no es parte de nuestra fe o tradición. muéstrame a donde la iglesia ha permitido y motivado bailes en el altar solo porque es parte de algunas culturas?
The crosses made on the building walls eleven years ago can still be seen. I was fortunate to be there on the day of the consecration and it was a beautiful liturgy.
Huh? What beautiful is that? This church has no taste of sacred art. Whoever the architect of this "cathedral" committed a grave sin in the eyes of God for designing such structure. Gosh. I don't even know if God is pleased with the design of this "church".
@@thoma57 that is so true they should have given it atleast a High altar and the tabernacle in that cathedral is not suitable for putting the blessed sacrament in.
Actually, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles had been trying to replace St. Vibiana's Cathedral since 1904, when Pope Pius X granted permission to then-Bishop Conaty "to remove the present cathedral in order to erect a larger church in a more suitable area of town" (Weber, Francis. 'Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels', p. 23).

Wow, this was so lovely to watch! Can't believe it's been 22 years since the dedication. I'm a parishioner here and love COLA so much! Praise God!🙏📿
Jesus Christ is King of kings and Lord of Lords, praise His Holy Name, Amen
the choirs just lovely... (Brahms... from the "German Requiem" "How Lovely are Thy Dwellings" )
I love it, but isn't dancing frowned upon as a form of liturgical abuse?
In this case, since it's part of Vietnamese culture, it's not considered "dance."
@@jnuval valid point.
It's not a dance it's called *Doxology*

The archbishop, he forgot to remove his episcopal ring.
I think they don't even take it off. All I know is that no one is allowed to kiss their ring

It's sad that they built a parking garage instead of a cathedral. Maybe they got the wrong blueprints?

Most likely old stock. The resin in most incense blends doesn't keep forever, nor does it keep its scent.
