Chris is a fantastic guitarist, but his right hand picking is absolutely NOT efficient. I’m not demeaning the guy, he was a HUGE influence on me when I was 16 in 1990. TRULY, INSANELY EFFICIENT players would be Marshall Harrison or Roy Marchbank. Look at THEIR right hands, then look at Chris’. Again, I love Chris, and he HAS massively cleaned up his playing since the black EP and Stand In Line. I’ll post some links to Marshall Harrison, just because you may enjoy seeing his amazing technique!

That's some of the BEST guitar work I've heard from Impellitteri in well over 30 years or more! Chris Impellitteri has been in my top 10 guitarists for decades and THIS is just another perfect example of why! Rob Rock still sounds absolutely PHENOMENAL as always! That bassline and that drumming is totally infectious and just SICK!!! Just one small criticism on this incredible blistering banger.....IT'S NOWHERE NEAR LONG ENOUGH!!!
The 3rd banger in a row. Grandiose. The band is on fire and shows total joy of playing. The CD has already been pre-ordered and I hope there will be a European tour or festival appearances. The Hard Rock and Heavy Metal scene needs more bands of this caliber.

What makes a player a legend, especially a guitar player? Did they innovate music or guitar playing in some way? Did they do anything beyond just playing what others played before them? A few legends : Tony Iommi ( downtuning, guitar sound and chord playing). Jimi Hendrix ( Playing techniques, invention of guitar effects ( wah pedal, fuzzbox, phasing effects) , innovation in studio techniques with Eddie Kramer, innovation in song structure). EVH ( Technical guitar improvements, tapping and tremolo techniques, some rhythmic innovation in music). John Mclaughlin ( introducing Indian time signatures and harmonic structure into rock, jazz fusion and all guitar music in general). Jeff Beck (Guitar techniques incl.tremolo techniques, volume techniques, artificial harmonics techniques, some rhythmic innovations) Andy Summers ( who invented the electric guitar sound for the 80's, pioneered the earliest guitar synths ). Yngwie J. Malmsteen ( who came after Randy Rhoads, finalizing the ultimate neo classical guitar sound and style of playing ) etc. etc etc etc So what do you mean by " a legend"? Words do have a value and meaning for a reason.
@@MeAndTheBoys_ Well..Since you ask: Chris was one of the pioneers to bring in Hybrid picking in rock electric guitar, that country chicken' pickin' approaching solos, and high intervalic string skipped arpeggios in the world on Metal guitar..let alone ridiculous speed, a new level of accuracy, 3 different picking patterns for fast playing AND.....most importantly: Some great music in the way. Now, if you were paying attention to guitar playing the last 100 years, you would know that all those "innovations" you mention from your list of "legends" which are some of my favourite players BTW, has been almost well used in guitar almost before the discovery on electric guitar. Several classical pieces incorporate ethnic chordal and harmonic approaches, tapping, pinch harmonics, artificial harmonics and so on even before Villa Lobos. To sum up...I can call Legend whoever I desire so for reasons that relate to the technicality of the instrument...and anyone who appreciates electric guitar knows how high in the hierarchy Chris is.

These guy's are just a constant freight train of crushing, tight metal, great production, crystal clear solo and then to catch your breath, we are treated to a great Schenker flavoured, anthemic break at the end of the solo. Simply put....Absolutely Superb!
Just "blows the roof" with happiness when listening. Once again, many thanks to the guys for the masterpiece songs! I look forward to the release of the album. It's a pity I can't buy right away because of the war in our country...

Third time in a row my expectations got overwhelmingly exceeded. 😀 I can only agree to all the nice and positive words i do read here, just great! Thanks for creating the new album, the entire band seems to just burn and the three songs we could already hear upfront are purely awesome. Everyone sounds great and guitar work is also more than we could have expected, simply superb and astonishing. Can't wait until the War Machine LP package gets shipped by Frontier. It will feel a like a little pre-christmas day. 😉
Outstanding. Unlike the new DT, these guys don't go to the salon, get a dose of just for men, spend an hour in make-up to do a video. These guys here are genuine.

Still remember the Vice cassette that made the rounds with my friends!
