I’m enjoying your videos! I dyed angora overnight in a crockpot. It took the dye quite well but the colors are very soft looking compared to the Leicester Longwool that I used the same colors on. It was a very enjoyable and interesting experiment!

So exciting with the colours on angora! I would like to learn more and if there are colour combinations that goes together well (and not?)when it comes to breeding angora rabbits.
I have my two first bucks, soon 5 month olds, and now I’m thinking to get a couple of does. One is yellow and one is grey(I assume it is what you call chestnut in english). In my language his colour is called «viltgrå».

I am working on a more in-depth dive into color! I'd be curious the difference in colors between countries!

does the color of the fiber effect how it takes dye?

I heard that if you dye on colored fiber, it turns out a deeper shade, and that can be really beautiful😊

Yes! With dark, or light grey or chestnut (that can be variegated) the dye will look very different compared to a white or fawn color, which usually picks up the color well. If you have a mix of dark and light fiber in the same color pot, they will look very different! This sounds like a great video idea!
