when the overload is cold...check for continuity on all 3 contacts..1-2-3 should have continuity, if not..then it has burned the element inside (this is not a 100% guaranteed test because sometimes they get stuck in reverse position, but most of the time should work)
I bought new relay on Amazon and it not work I try reset many time but same ,I heard refrigerator run but not blowing cool air, I try 1st reset the fan working but not cooling I think may be go buy new one but not same lg because to many people got same trouble this brand Lg.
Do all refrigerators have overload relays? I have an LG 2020 model that only seems to have a wire harness (without overload cylinder shaped part) from PCB to the compressor. Fridge shows error 22 and PCB red light blinks thrice despite installing new PCB Thanks.
@@rlholtrop I did thank god… I contacted LG and because my unit was out of warrantee and it landed in within some 7 year period they contacted me with a third party they use. I paid $150 Canadian and he replaced the entire compressor. Now it works perfectly. Let me know if you need help I can try to find the company I used but I suggest calling LG first.
@@appliancepartspros the old one. I just replaced the old overload protector but I couldnt fit the cover after putting the new protector in place of the old one. It would not click in as easily in the video
How can you test the overload with multimeter?

Make sure the new overload is seated all the way down and aligned correctly. Otherwise, it would be difficult to know unless we could see it.
