the fact that the ending is so realistic, it made me cry like no other dramas have made me, so it will be in one of my top best kdrama list. sometimes we just need to accept that not everything will fall into place. the fact that the storyline doesn’t force such plot is very courageous. i love it till the end ❤️

This drama taught me that not all story is a happy ending. Nothing is permanent in this world even our love ones will leave when their time comes. It's just kinda sad that as the story goes by, a character will goodbye. This drama is a masterpiece even though It did not receive a huge attention to korean netizens

Yes Lady Hae was truly an amazing person, she's more than a character for me. It must have been so difficult for her to cope with the feelings that her husband is getting close to her cousin while she's about to die. The same cousin whom she considered her child.
Yet again let's remember, there are few people even in real life who are made in a way that they will sacrifice their dearest for their dearest with a beautiful smile on their face, hiding all the tears of sadness that left their eys.😢

So I have a habit of doing a research on the show and the cast that I recently watched ...I got to know that this story was actually published online and it was first adapted into a show by China and they had made its season 2 ...but in Korean it was made later and has still has no new season apart from season 1

The Korean version is adapted from the season 1 of the C-drama but with Korean history as the base. And there is no second season for the Korean one.

This is probably the most emotional OST we have listened to so far. Even without understanding the lyrics, the music alone evokes profound sadness and longing. My heart literally ached listening to this song. And during our watch, we have this great impending fear of losing a character whenever this song plays. Scarlet Heart Ryeo will always be in the top list of Kdrama to remember.

I remember every character who died in the story, I remember that this song was always used when someone special died and now that I have finished the whole S1 I can’t help but remember Court Lady Oh, Hae Soo, Eun and his Wife, Myun Hee, King Tae Jo, Queen Yoo, King Yo, The Crown Prince/King Moo, Wook, The Princess of Baekje and the others who have received such a wrongful death.. this OST never fails to make me cry,it feels like the mothers love and the grief.Also remembering the kdrama it just breaks my heart
i remembered when i finished this drama my family can't even talk to me for 2 weeks. i never talked to anyone because my mind can't process what happened in the ending and left me hanging.. now im here again listening to this masterpiece that made me cry and broken but im still waiting for season 2 or just a prequel or something. eventhough it's impossible now haha.

everytime i hear this song, oh my gosh. it give me goosebumps, and i remember how broken hearted wang so was when hae soo left him again and i can feel how cruel is the relationship between hae soo and wang so, because of many bad things happened that keep tear them apart. ah, it just so sad. and what makes it more even sadder is the thing that they clearly can't be together because of their time and spaces difference.. i just feel bad for them. still hoping season 2 tho. 😢😥
Not a fan of historical kdrama but because of IU and Lee Joon Gi I watched this and no regrets eventhough I've read from comments that it had a sad ending. I believe that it wasn't really sad at all, it was the right ending for the story. I really cried so hard but at the same time I loved the story that I didn't want it to end. Now I understand why everyone who had watched this drama is looking forward for season 2. I love this drama so much that I never wanted it to end...

And if you will look it, almost all deaths before and after Hae Soo, are all, if not due to, or in relation with Hae Soo, if she was not brought to the past, they would not have died.
I like the bitter ending. Its a satisfactory ending. In the Philippine Dramas, you will be sick of happy endings. You know it as the drama was announce that it will be a happy ending. The only question is how.

The most heartbreaking plot is they scarred hae soos's hand to prevent her marrying the emperor but in the she couldn't marry wang so for the same reason when he became the emperor..
i wanted her to marry Wook or Eun. when Eun died i actually thought i can't live anymore......
Ngl a part of me is relieved she didn’t..everything was way too much to handle already.
But that wasn't the only reason she didnt marry. Only rich families could marry the emperor, and Hae Soo's family said she is no longer part of them after the hand scarring incident. She has no economical benenefit or contribution toward the country. Also the fact that she cant marry a man who has more than one wives (he married the princess). She looked at him as if he was a monster not long after, when he made the decision to kill her bff Chyoreon. I think I'm missing smth but I'll add if i remember.

its so hard to finish listening to this. in a way, even though scarlet heart was so beautiful and real, i regret watching it because it's so close to real life when the only reason i watch kdramas is to escape from reality. everything in life is happy until someone dies, it all goes downhill from there and you learn to live just for the happy moments. you learn to accept what happens to you.

i watched this like 2 yrs ago. back then i felt like no one around me knew ab this. like i suffered the pain all alone can u see😥😥 i got obsessed 4 weeks after watching it, i felt my heart broken just like it was happening to me. i cried at anytime of the day n couldn focus on doing anything. like a real real break up of mine!! more than 3 times, even til now, i wake up in the morning and while the lyrics "dont forget me ever" in the ost repeating in my head, the pain suddenly takes over me, i cant even understand whats going on but i already cry like a child. it feels like my own experience and a scar that have never healed. this may sounds too much but, my intire life never feel this way 😩😩

Combined with the context and the acting which is inspirational and courageous and a script which is nothing short of bravery in its depiction of truth, then surely this drama deserves to be recognised as a great example of Korean culture and their imagination, creativity and sensitivity.
After so long here I am crying like a baby to this song. I honestly feel so strongly the emotions the characters portrayed thought the serie. How they never got the chance to really experience love and care until it was too late, and how heartbreaking it was to lose everything when they had just realized their love. Every single episode is so heart wrecking and beautiful. The writer honestly deserved way more recognition for such a beautiful script, and of course the k-drama and actors for such amazing acting. This was just simply amazing beyond words.
