@@ShahidKhan-ke8fe This has been proven not really true, we forget birds brains can't be compared to mammals their neurons are more tightly spaced, it was just a guess based on brain size. There was a clip of an owl brooding a frozen mouse to thaw it out so it could eat it lol, quite clever really. David does come across owly to me, that's whats weird about this lie it could easily become a real thing.
Easily one of the best lies sold on the show. Great fast thinking.

Not really, they don't press her for many details and they only ask for 6 people's animals. She's too obvious, I would've gone lie
I think I believed it at the time of first watching, but looking back in hindsight after watching it again there are a few clues to it being a lie - the most obvious being that she said "if i was going to do it to myself" - surely if she had actually created this game she would already have known what her animal was, not just make up one of the spot like the way she worded it seemed like.
I mean, if you are telling the truth you're supposed to make it seems like a lie, so it didn't really make sense her acting that confident for a truth, it had to be a lie.
@@riccardoo.5606There are a few recurring guests on this show (off the top of my head Winkleman, Bob Mortimer and Greg Davies) that tell every story with supreme confidence and tremendous detail whether it's a truth or a lie, to the point that it basically becomes a guessing game.

FirstDragonSlayer I agree that Bob Mortimer has better stories but he has been beaten at this game on some occasions whereas claudia hasn't been (as far as we know)
The thing about Claudia is that she does ALWAYS just the single bluff. If you wanted to beat her just pick the opposite of what she is trying to sell. In this case, if it would have been a truth she would have acted like she's stumbling to name and recall the animals. Bob varies between double bluffs, single bluffs and not bluffing at all which makes him a better player on the long run
I don't think she had lost any at the point they commented. They always guessed Claudia's stories wrong until a recent episode. I'm not sure it was even in the regular episode, I think it was in a compilation of extra bits.
@William Stewart I suppose that's true. At the time they wrote the comment it *seemed* impossible to beat her though. ;)

Claudia's too good for this game.
If it was true there is no way she would have sold it so strongly - she would have been off and uncertain about everything.
She tweaked that the best way to get through this was to look at each of them and immediately go for an animal without thinking.
You actually can beat Claudia. She sells lies really well, when it's a truth she pretends to be flustered.
After she said beaver, i immediately saw the beaver resemblance.
I can definitely see Lee as a beaver.

It's supposed to be a lie but after seeing how well they match up to their chosen animal It's hard not to believe it.

Claudia Winkleman is THE best at this game. She beats Lee by a mile. This woman is so good. Love it.
If it was Lee he would've said not true though, but since it's a team game he had to go for true. My bet is that he saw through her when she said she was part camel and part mouse.

I disagree. It is up to Lee to decide whether it is true or not; he is the team captain. He could have easily overruled. But even he was fooled by Claudian Chicanery (:

Lee always sounds like he's telling a lie. With Claudia you can never know. She mixes it up absolutely the right amount. There's sp much confidence in this but then again in the tortoise thing (which was true) she sounds like she's never even seen a tortoise.

Claudia is one of the best guests on this show, not in small part because she's so fantastic at the game. I want to see her and Bob Mortimer on the same episode.

Notice how Claudia never really answered anyone's questions about why they were their respective animals (except for Jamie the ferret), or how that came about. She just repeated the animal names confidently, which threw everyone off her scent.
Did anyone else google the animals she said they were t see if they looked like them? Rhod DOES look like a red setter puppy lol - even though it was a lie she is AMAZING to think them so quick!!!!

Claudia is the master. She's hilarious and quick witted as hell. I'd love to see her and Bob on Lee's team.
Strangest thing: I didn't care for Claudia when I first started watching panel shows a couple of years ago, but I've come to be a huge fan.
I didn't like her at first either, to me she came across as very histrionic and playing the part of a dumb blonde who isn't blonde lol. But I've really come to appreciate how she never holds back and doesn't mind looking silly. I really like how she interacts with other panelists as well - some panelists are unengaged or communicates with the other team via their team captain, but Claudia always addressed everyone's questions herself and is always 100% present. She shows her own hosting chops I think :)
@@Delinae She's also arguably the best actual player of the game out of anyone, including the team captains. Out of the regulars, I can't think of anyone who has managed to fool the other team so often (though Bob Mortimer comes close).
