      There are both good in their style, the issue is, it's only about them when there's a third person, the co-anchor.
      The women who's held the position are useless as they are not included/ don't really take part in the conversation.
      On 'First Thing First' and 'First Take' they participate pertinently.

    Peyton Manning being left out of the GOAT convo is blasphemous. 7x 1st team all-pro, 5 MVPs, two rings(y’all can say he got carried for the second but he outplayed Brady in the AFC championship that year 🤷🏾‍♂️), most passing yards in a single season, and most touchdowns in a single season.
    he should be in the conversation.

    I feel Hue because as a fan when he first took the job the Browns were already in tank/rebuild mode. In an article after taking the job he explain why he took the Browns job.. There were other NFL teams in need of head coaches, the Browns were the first team to interview him.. He stated he took the Browns job because of the Rooney Rule, stating that if he passed on the Browns job they wouldn't have to interview another black coach for the job. So he sacrificed himself so that the other NFL teams with head coaching vacancies had to interview another black coach. By taking the Browns job he got caught up. I watch the whole thing unfold and felt bad that Hue had to wear that. It's politics!

  • @Gamingetic
    @Gamingetic 6 лет назад +1

    Hue Jackson was 3-36-1 as the head coach for the Cleveland Browns. 1-15 first year, 0-16 second year and 2-5-1 in his final year. The fact that he won 66.6% of his career wins this year is saddening.

  • @soljahkoonskoop
    @soljahkoonskoop 2 года назад +1

    The day after Hue was hired he was asked in an interview why did he take the Browns job, and he mentioned The Rooney Rule, explaining that because their were other NFL head coaching vacancies but the Browns set up to interview him before them, he took the Brown's job so that other candidates had an opportunity to be interviewed. Had he passes on the Brown's position then at the time Cleveland wouldn't be required to interview another black coach. I followed this from the beginning of his hire. Listen to what RG3 said when he was there... He was brought in in the midst of them tanking, team kept the fans in those games by keeping it close and interesting then "finding a way to lose" Haslem came over from having a minority ownership in the Steelers, Brown's fans are loyal. You can make money off them even if you don't win no games! NFL big business winning just make it look good for the fan base.

      He was told to hire todd , or strongly encouraged .. to hire him.. which in the hot seat, hugh had very little wiggle room to argue. Therefore technically he hired todd, but not really his decision. So he is speaking truth but kind of misleading.. he will never admit , he had to tread lightly on push back to gm and owner because he waz on thin ice With his record. So he was really just another figure ... a head figure, but to make some sense of things .. he would push back on his coaches in favor of players , because atleast “i can control this” attitude, hence the argument in the meeting on hard knocks. He doesnt control the organization or have any real pull ; but atleast he can say “no” to his coaches bout some arbitary request.

    I think that if Cleveland takes Deshaun over Myles the team is set back years on what they already were. Ndjoku last year was questionable but since Baker has been starter it’s shown how good Ndjoku can be. We won’t know on how good Baker is for a few years, in that how he reacts to teams knowing his tendencies and if he’s willing to improve and if his body and mind will let him. Cleveland is being slowly built up and if they can find the right coach I feel they can be dangerous. From a Chargers fan

    This is a really insightful interview. I love being able to see Hue Jackson's perspective especially when it came to the part about how he delegated offensive play calling to Todd Haley. I agree with that approach in general. I am a KC Chiefs fan. I saw year after year how Andy Reid made mistakes interfering with his OC year after year especially during playoffs. However Reid is totally being the Alpha dog and winning over Beinemy. He is taking charge. It is working for him right now. But it also could cause problems. I agree with winning. But I also agree with not interfering with professionals and allowing them to play their roles.
