As a Baker fan, he has been a class act through and through (even though he shouldn't be going to every tv sports show) just really sad that it didn't work out with him as a HC. In a different reality with Hue as a O-coordinator things might have worked out differently. BTW, I uploaded a video on how the Browns can improve to a playoff team if you want to to watch.

So he sacrificed himself so that the other NFL teams with head coaching vacancies had to interview another black coach. By taking the Browns job he got caught up. I watch the whole thing unfold and felt bad that Hue had to wear that. It's politics!
Hue Jackson was 3-36-1 as the head coach for the Cleveland Browns. 1-15 first year, 0-16 second year and 2-5-1 in his final year. The fact that he won 66.6% of his career wins this year is saddening.
The day after Hue was hired he was asked in an interview why did he take the Browns job, and he mentioned The Rooney Rule, explaining that because their were other NFL head coaching vacancies but the Browns set up to interview him before them, he took the Brown's job so that other candidates had an opportunity to be interviewed. He doesnt control the organization or have any real pull ; but atleast he can say “no” to his coaches bout some arbitary request.
I have been in a lot of jobs until I graduated college, one of the most important things I noticed in my jobs was leadership. I would encourage everyone to read Extreme Ownership. Jackson took extreme ownership this dude is a true leader I would like to see him part of a true NFL ownership again.
Browns from this point just need to continue to grind but, also build around Baker Mayfield. Mayfield is a stud. I don't even like the Browns but NFL need to be on the watch, Browns are coming.
Sounds to me like Hue Jackson liked everybody and now the whole hindsight thing is "Oh yeah I would have taken him". When it comes down to it, he didn't make an impact and that's on him.
He should have never gave up his play calling power. Like Shannon stated he finally had the roster. Hope he gets another opportunity with a more stable organization. I can see the Browns being one of those Bucs ( Tony Dungy- Jon Gruden) situations. They have some real talent. This next coach is CRUCIAL.
Skip: So when you proposed to your wife years ago, was it all you that decided it was time to pop the question? Hue:... Uhhh I think it was an organization decision, a decision we made together ya know, no one person was the sole factor in deciding
I think that if Cleveland takes Deshaun over Myles the team is set back years on what they already were. Ndjoku last year was questionable but since Baker has been starter it’s shown how good Ndjoku can be. We won’t know on how good Baker is for a few years, in that how he reacts to teams knowing his tendencies and if he’s willing to improve and if his body and mind will let him. Cleveland is being slowly built up and if they can find the right coach I feel they can be dangerous. From a Chargers fan
This is a really insightful interview. I love being able to see Hue Jackson's perspective especially when it came to the part about how he delegated offensive play calling to Todd Haley. I agree with that approach in general. I am a KC Chiefs fan. I saw year after year how Andy Reid made mistakes interfering with his OC year after year especially during playoffs. However Reid is totally being the Alpha dog and winning over Beinemy. He is taking charge. It is working for him right now. But it also could cause problems. I agree with winning. But I also agree with not interfering with professionals and allowing them to play their roles.
Hue is a stand up guy. Takes accountability for his own actions and decisions and doesn't blame anyone else. He'll be a great O-Coordinator for someone in the NFL.
Hughe is a good dude, you can tell he has a lot of character. He should of NEVER been fired when he coached the Raiders. They were heading in the right direction when he coached them.

He doesnt control the organization or have any real pull ; but atleast he can say “no” to his coaches bout some arbitary request.
This guy is taking heat for other people. He may not have been a good coach but he seems to be a really good man.
When it comes down to it, he didn't make an impact and that's on him.
that's so funny how a couple of weeks ago he was like 'i'm the head coach. period. I make the decisions. nothing more needs to be said'
He should have never gave up his play calling power. Like Shannon stated he finally had the roster. Hope he gets another opportunity with a more stable organization. I can see the Browns being one of those Bucs ( Tony Dungy- Jon Gruden) situations. They have some real talent. This next coach is CRUCIAL.
dont think he had a choice, did he?
Skip: So when you proposed to your wife years ago, was it all you that decided it was time to pop the question?
Hue:... Uhhh I think it was an organization decision, a decision we made together ya know, no one person was the sole factor in deciding
Legend has it that Hue is still watching the tape.
😂
Nothing says Cleveland Browns more than Hue's 3-36-1 record!
Mad respect for Hugh for stepping up to the plate.
THE GOODBYE TOUR: with Hue Jackson
I think that if Cleveland takes Deshaun over Myles the team is set back years on what they already were. Ndjoku last year was questionable but since Baker has been starter it’s shown how good Ndjoku can be. We won’t know on how good Baker is for a few years, in that how he reacts to teams knowing his tendencies and if he’s willing to improve and if his body and mind will let him. Cleveland is being slowly built up and if they can find the right coach I feel they can be dangerous. From a Chargers fan
The camera guy walking around the table is a little much lol
Lol. Hue was also on a couple of other shows that day, I can only imagine how annoyed he must’ve been to answer the same questions 😂🤣😆
Skip is very underrated interviewing people
this is why this is the best network sports show
Huey Headlines in Hog Heaven. Look at him. This is what he loves more than coaching. He always won the press conference almost never the game.
Hughe is a good dude, you can tell he has a lot of character. He should of NEVER been fired when he coached the Raiders. They were heading in the right direction when he coached them.
Much respect he has so much class
