Can use diff color rope, black white hard to see creases and crossings? Incredible how you can lift yourself using just the open loop !

Can I use a carabiner on the D rings with a clove hitch? Instead of the clip and a Yosemite bowline?

    Great explanation!
Question; how do you come back down safely ? 😅

Depress the Blake's Hitch gently, and you will begin your descent.

Amature here. Two points , or three. 1 and 2 most dangerous profession ever. Due energy stored in
the tree can lash out and knock you out or worse. Ropes , safety done is not always perfect because we are
human. Point 3 - I saw Asplund tree service using that closed system (took pic for ref) long time ago.
Never able to "figure it out"
Glad you showed me as I have a big 60 ft ? black olive in front house. WIll use this system but
leaving plenty of slack. Best safety precautuion yet, plan for room to cut and run jump
off and run! Tks. Water Doug.

Slide and grip knot is key to system. Leave your 'closed loop' tight or loose as needed to get the **uk out of the way! ! Good prep never wated.

Could have made the sections on tying the knots a little clearer. You kept zooming in and out and blocking the know with your hands. Other than that thanks.

What diameter is the rope? I’m searching to find a 200 foot rope.

So uh, don’t need a 200 foot rope now. I got addicted to your supplies and bought the hitch climber system and the lanyard climbing kit with some extra carabiners and a pretzel O ring. Next thing is gonna be another harness and a thimble. Then I’ll have a takedown setup and a pruning setup.

Some people use that exact pouch as a ditty bag rather than for throw line storage.
