We learn something new everyday. No shame on having hiccups along the way. Yeah does make sense being exposed to the elements the wind would be getting to the mic
You need balls of steel and reactions of a fly to drive something like this. I'd be constantly worried about it losing control, correcting it along with the little protection that's given. Hope the owner drives safe 👍
I've had the opportunity to drive three others- one was a sort of daily driver, easy, spirited after the Honda Civic the motor came from but not wild. the other two were built to exploit the very low weight the design makes possible. Monstrous and more monstrous would be my call- and as addictive as the other speed! They are the most "alive" thing I have ever driven in my life- it literally vibrates and bellows and dances when you get brisk with it. It tells you every step that you can get badly bitten if you go to far!
After about 150hp they get very twitchy in the wet. That's already quite a high hp/ton for a road car and they don't have much weight over the rear wheels.
Met a couple of these dudes in my time, proper car nerd, a rare breed, will teach you more than just car stuff!! What a g, love cheap, light and overpowered cars!! Great vid OG
😂 Absolutely brilliant. The owner was such a chilled nice guy too. When Jamie went to grab the handle, grabbed the roll cage and then thought nahh the winds gonna rip my arm off 😂🤣😂
The fear on Jamie's face. Felt a bit scared for him when pulling out and can't touch the brake. When I drove a Westfield was a great car to drive this with 300bhp would be another level
Hey, that's weird man, I made a locost chassis years ago, was going to put an s13 lump in it, but never finished it... May do some day.. looks mental. Now turbocharging an mx5 myself. (I used the Ron champion book too! Still got it..)
I've spoken to Dave on the phone before, he is such a cool guy and a real helpful gent. His YT channel has changed name now though, I think it's something like In The Garage maybe?
The sound change when he switched to High Boost mode.......that literally brought my arm hair up...the sound of that motor when he REALLY opens her up. That car BEGS to be hammered on! So jealous, thanks for the video!!!!
mate... I was smiling all the way through...more so when you were driving. Balls.... massive Balls! (both of you!) 😎🤘 Edit: Dude has a cool channel as well.. +1 Sub Dave
I enjoy watching Jamie's content your can tell he puts a lot of effort in editing his videos. My favorite video on this channel will always be the black convertible Porsche.
Really nice guy Dave 👌🏻 Mega car! Nice to see it develop so much over the years! Looking forward to driving it on track in the near future 🏁 Cracking video Jamie 👍🏻
The look of pure intensity at the 13 minute mark... This was the face I had as a new driver going on the highway for the first time. That "Oh Crap, this is where I die" expression.
Hahaha this was amazing. I loved how you kept looking around for something to hold on to 🤣 I had a very similar experience when a mate look me out in his Zenos E10S. Ill be honest, I was absolutely terrified!
Jamie, honestly, please do not change the audio and visual experience! There was nothing wrong with either! The audio and visuals depicted exactly what it's like to be in one of those kit cars! It's a raw visceral experience! I've been fortunate enough to have been in one and driven it......this video was an experience in itself!
New to the channel - Dutton S2 owner from the '80's (herald double wishbones were the biz - and overbored +60's in a 7-11M block, with a four branch manifold and twin Webbers were all it took to be cool), well now I'm old and a bit better off so I want another - but when Mr Presenter started driving I found myself remembering Hammond and the Jet Car... Awesome car, cool owner and I loved the presenter guy's enthusiasm. Great stuff :-)
From one overboosted '7' freak to another overboosted '7' freak yeah boy 🤘🤘🤘 always makes my day seeing someone else who's stuffed a lot of hp into something tiny
I’ve been driving fast cars and riding superbikes all my life... To keep a clean licence which I need for work (prestige car driver) I have become pretty aware of my surroundings while on the road. Pretty sure I can hear a siren as the wind changes @ 15:32 and by 15:40 you can see what appears to be a police car come into view! Haha.. You guys were outta their way promptly though! ;) Fantastic car, great video Jamie... The sound wasn’t half as bad as I was expecting! Great job mate!
Just loved the way the motorbike disappeared into the distance at 9:20. Considering the weight was up with two up, it must be a mental drive on your own!
Just watched this and LLF newest update back to back!! My favourite channels by far on youtube!! Funniest recent episodes too!! Reactions are grate to these awesome cars!!
That bloke has balls of steel his face doesn’t change why your driving but why he was driving your facial expressions had me laughing the whole time 😂😂 great video
The level of effort you put into your content is top class mate. Subtitles for almost everything the two of you say is an unnecessary but very helpful addition that adds to the video a lot.
Hand's down best car review I've seen, couldn't stop smiling when you or the driver was hitting boost I could feel your excitement lol. Facial expressions explain everything😂😂.
Great video that thing is super fast, my mate years ago had a Dutton kit car so I know the feeling of that rush when your in it it's mental, his was running a 1600 cross flow engine not as quick as this but still bloody quick 👍
Forms of the Locost Seven, named after the Lotus Seven it emulates, have been short course winners since Colin Chapman designed the first ones in the '50s. From that start, with 750cc economy car motors, and adapted drive trains to this beast- awesome! From 0 to 125 mph or so, they are in a league few cars attain- past that and their poor aerodynamics start wanting more horsepower than you have. If you ever wondered what it would be like to go on a screaming run inside a fast agile cat, this is the ticket. Thanks to OG and LC Turbo for bringing out the toys!
SORRY ABOUT AUDIO AND VISUAL ISSUES ON THIS ONE !! DEALING WITH NEW CHALLENGES.. LESSON LEARNED! BACK STRONGER NEXT TIME 💯
We learn something new everyday. No shame on having hiccups along the way. Yeah does make sense being exposed to the elements the wind would be getting to the mic
Just makes the car look even crazier.
Jamie u don't know me but I need ur help could u call me on 07593253239
@@dannyorton6419 I recommend you DM Jamie via insta so you don't reveal personal information 👍
this was epic
‘I can barely touch the brake’
‘It’ll be alright’
What a hero 😂
Must admit that was a HARDCORE reply.
Funny.....no fore/aft seat adjustment?
Hahahaha
And also:
"I WOULDN'T BE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT WITH ME RIGHT NOW!"
Owner: "It's cool...it's nice."
😂
Once he started driving the thing I understood why he’s bald
Him being bald helps the aerodynamics of the car 😂
😂😂😂
Best comment 👍
@@davebgsi 😄😄 Screenshotted this comment for later use! 👌🏻

@@alaiaomanu6318 thats not even one of Jamie's videos, and they're pretty shit cars once you look past the gadgets and fancy lights
It's the camera slap that kills me every time 😂
This guy is so chilled it's unreal! His facial expressions don't change 😂
Jamie: says the video had bad audio...
Boostheads: eargasms from the turbo flutter 🔥
Pray for us!!! 3 words you NEVER want to hear when about to embark on a journey .🤣 Killing it mate 👍
Lol
The owner of this one should definitely get "the calmest owner in the passenger's seat"!! He is simply a legend!!
You need balls of steel and reactions of a fly to drive something like this. I'd be constantly worried about it losing control, correcting it along with the little protection that's given. Hope the owner drives safe 👍

Well driving without a helmet is just asking for problems.
I love that Jamie is having SO much fun behind the wheel, and the owner is just “ is this it as a passenger?” 😂😂 Great Content buddy!!

I love how chilled the owner is when he takes over driving!!!
14:55 It's great how his expression changes as the boost comes on and they blast off into warp speed
Never expected him to appear on the channel! He's so informative about kit cars, he's an awesome guy!
😂 Absolutely brilliant. The owner was such a chilled nice guy too. When Jamie went to grab the handle, grabbed the roll cage and then thought nahh the winds gonna rip my arm off 😂🤣😂

This looks like too much fun.
I love how Jamie kept trying to reach to hang on (as a passenger) and decided against it. 😂🤣
Resisting the "grannygrip" 🤣

I think this is one of the coolest car we had on the channel jamie you have done it again👍
I had one with just a 1800 toyota twin cam with 40mm side drafts and headers...and it was mental...this must be a completely savage monster
Jamie reactions are priceless. That car must be pure adrenaline!!
Pd: this guy has serious driving skills
