In Shopee shops are advertising it as an IPS display. I'm shocked, no reviews ever noticed the panel type. I was about to check out lol thanks for the review.
Most people know "IPS" means better than the low-end TN junk. They don't know what "VA" means. I'm glad it's VA. Much better than IPS. Nicer picture quality and usually far less light bleeding.
@@SharapovaFanBut since it's 165Hz, VA isn't favorable because people who buy 165Hz don't need those colors. IPS is just a middle ground of TN and VA panels.
@@yubinator7455 lol, IPS is far superior and there's a reason why ALL the top screens are either OLED or IPS. VA is the middle ground and TN is just junk at this point.

I am writing this review after 4 months of use. Xiaomi and Redmi monitors come with a defect. You will barely be able to use it for 6 months. It starts to go black randomly and in the end, it completely dies. Once you turn on the monitor you will see the power led is on but no logo pops up. And no menu shows on pressing the joystick button at the back. Then you need to open the power cord for a few minutes and replug everything to bring it back on alive. But eventually, it dies due to IC failure on the controller board. I should have gone for LG with more money. All I wanted to save a little money but I regret it now. 😔
Safe your money and buy a decent ips panel full hd monitor when you are on a low budget. if you plan playing mostly competetive games then an ips panel monitor is the way to go. otherwise maybe a va panel monitor like this suits you better but in my experience va panels have always a big issue with ghosting and grey to grey response time which makes the game expiernce worse in many ways. in my opinion the ips panel monitors are the superier ones
A HD monitor at 24 inches with a VA panel. Blurred images with visible font pixelation will be there. May not be in games. But you will notice pixelation in even windows start button. Price may be attractive but HD resolution is worst at 24 inches. QHD is definitely recommended at 24 inch size.

This monitor has extreme level of ghosting in games like even valorant and even with adaptive sync on which gives me headache. Better go for a 75hz ips panel in this budget is a better option.
Sounds like a good deal but I find when a monitor gets this large a QHD may be needed. At 23.8 inches you might be able to get away with Full HD but I found my 25 inch monitor demanded higher resolution. So it's close call.
