Hello Hans, I bought my Mano Ultra mkIII Farad about 6 months ago. It works flawlessly and the sound quality paired with the Denafrips Venus and the New Ontech Dac 07 is heavenly. The first couple months you know how it is you think about trying something else, having friends bring their streamers over I always go back to the Mano….I have the Venus using I2S and the New Ontech with a RCA and there is never a glitch…I will never part with the Mano!! Thanks for introducing this streamer to us…
Hi Charles, I was thinking of getting the DAC 07. Would you mind sharing a little more about the system you have it in and the sonic characteristics of the 07 vs the Venus. Much appreciated and Happy New Year.

My setup is CanaKit Ri 5 8Gb, PI2AES 2.0, Geekworm X1001 PCIe to M.2 HAT Key-M NVMe SSD, 10.1’’ Raspberry Pi Touch Screen running Volumio. Using the stock PI 5 PS 45V that is powering ALL devices. The PI2AES 2.0 Pro Audio Shield is connected to a Geshelli Labs - Dayzee DAC and sounds fantastic!!!!
Hans, you have quite a few reviews of DACs and similar products for the Raspberry Pi. But you have no reviews of the boards/modules from Ian Canada. These are very high quality boards. Why no reviews?
Pi5 needs official PSU (or PD) to enable drawing maximum current at 5A or it would limit drawing maximum current to 3A. For non official PSU, it need to edit config.txt to enable 5A mode. In my opinion, 5A mode might have different audio characteristics. In your setting, could you told me that you enabled 5A mode or not?
Im back on the Denafrips wagon. Hans Can you explain why a MCLK and DDC and a DAC need to be hooked up at the same time? Im almost ready to go to vinyl....Im lost for words..lol.
Are there and Sound difference just connecting the Pi via USB to Cyan2. I run HoloAudio Red via I2S at May DAC and wounder of a simple Pi is just enough.
There is a very large offerings of RPi audio HAT boards. I can only y do about 50 products per year so I have to be very selective in choosing which products to review. Currently I have not planned to look at the products you mention. Sorry.
I believe the clocks are the same in the Mano Ultra versions? The clocks in my opinion have a greater effect than the pi version which resulted in no noticeable difference in sound quality.
As I said in the video, it's how the electronic noise from the Pi is filtered out and how well the HAT board is developed. The two TenLabs voltage regulators are a part of the design.
@@TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel And why not, as far a I know there is galvanic isolation between the streamer and the DAC. A good DAC should take care of this. It is an asynchronous communication and the clock of the DAC is key... I have heard several streamers in my system, all using USB to a Topping DAC and I must say I can not hear the differnces. I must have poor ears I guess but for the money this could be a blessing.
Hello Hans, great video as always. Could you please review the Muzg Audio Linear PSU and compare it to the Sbooster? I noticed significant improvement in my system but I'm curious about your opinion
Thanks
Welcome
Thank you, I really like this review, I was pleasantly surprised by the results.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for another vid Hans! Here’s to 100k subs!
🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏼
Hope you get to 100K subscribers Hans!!!!!
Thanks. That might happen before the end of the year.

Enjoy the music
Enjoy the jazz
Finally, it decodes DSD comfortably including DST. And sure, you can use a passive cooling.

I can’t do everything. I can’t do no more than 45 reviews a year.
Curious to know when Hans will test Ian Canada's RP products
I have currently no plans
hello Hans. i love the video's you make and keep up the work, but did you noticed your website is'nt working anymore ?
I know. I abandoned the website. Thanks nevertheless for reporting.

I didn’t
You did not mention it, but did you use the RPI5 with our without active cooling? And if without, did that give you any problem while testing?
Without.

Well, if you buy a DAC with real perfect clocking and interfacing, there is no need for all those boxes. My Grimm MU2 is such a one box solution😊
@@TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel Thanks Hanz, i'll check it out.

Absolutely not!!
@@userhwoarang have a go, it will cost you 100€ and a bit of time… afterwards you can use the pi for other projects….
Have you've looked at Raspberry Pi DAC offerings from Ian Canada? Rather sophisticated looking stuff.

Are there differences when using USB to a good DAC, the clock of the DAC will dictate and when there is galvanic sepparation…
The USB on a Pi isn't the best way to transport the audio to a DAC.

see you tomorrow Hans at DAE, have a good night
