      Thanks Dana! Very much appreciate the kind words :D The bits are pretty epic, but I will say they don't stand up against a T-track at full speed...ask me how I know lol!

    3:00 as my navigation instructor mentioned repeatedly "write everything down and you won't have to remember anything" ...pure gold!

    Awesome! I'm in my third year using my MK1 - I think I have the experience needed to tackle this, especially if files are available and all links to all parts are easily folllowed - given that you're in Canada like me, I'd imagine they will be. I can't wait to see the videos as they come out...
    ...and hopefully make a guitar for my friend's birthday in November! Let's goal 😂

      That sounds epic! The files are there, have some fun with them. Make sure you share your project to the socials!

    Amazing project. How many passes with the new roughing bit to cut it out? And how deep was each pass? Thanks!

      Oh and where do you get your wood from? I'm an hour north of Toronto and don't mind driving a bit to get some.

    Rigid foam! FML genius...still trying to "understand " sheets, layers and levels... in regards to vcarve..

      Keep at it! It can be a little confusing, but they do server their intended purposes. Once you understand them, the power becomes real!

    so for the neck pocket is it angled? or is the neck heel itself angled? or does it not have an angle?

    • @SienciLabs
      @SienciLabs  5 месяцев назад +1

      Heyo there! Pocket and heel are both flat! There are lots of variations out there on the actual SG’s, but we kept it simple on purpose.

    Hi! I know a lot of cnc software is mostly on Windows...Is there anything to recommend for mac only users?

    • @SienciLabs
      @SienciLabs  8 месяцев назад

      Any of the online based softwares (Easel is probably the best example) should work on a MAC.
      Carbide Create appears to be Mac compatible.
      Fusion 360 might also work.
      Your other option is a windows emulator. Hopefully this helps!

      @@SienciLabs You bought a full kit and discarded the mahogany body to make a mahogany body?

    • @SienciLabs
      @SienciLabs  9 месяцев назад

      Yup! We were going to buy just the parts individually, but they were more expensive! Don't worry, we know it's a little odd too. However, we wanted to show what our new 1/4" Extra Long Roughing bits could do, and guitar bodies are a perfect project to show them off. On top of that, we wanted to make a guitar tutorial that was directed more towards a beginner level customer as the first guitar series was more advanced. So there you have it! Bought and body to make a body :D

    • @NeilFerreri
      @NeilFerreri 9 месяцев назад

      @@SienciLabs That's what I've seen too. I wonder if there's a market for kits minus the body. Definitely beginner friendly to only worry about the body.
