A note to those who might not know, that 500k crit is not an accurate representation of Childe's damage because floor 7 has an incredibly high crit damage boost as well as other floor buffs

It's like how a bunch of YTbers showcased Zhongli's damage back when there was a geo buff in the Abyss as well.

Goblets with preferred elemental bonuses are so hard to get in general. Just slap in any hydro bonus arti from any set available, let that be the odd fifth one, and the remaining 4 artifacts can be from the water set to still get that bonus.

I've spent like 700+ resin on the domain and i keep getting defense and HP main stat headpiece. The substats for the other pieces are also garbage like HP, EM and Energy recharge like where tf is crit rate or even atk%.
Oh man, I really needed this, I've been stuck with just one good bow ever since launch, Rust, and I've used it on Childe and it's been lovely and all, but my problem has always been crit rate. I never farmed Noblesse as I was waiting for this Hydro set, been running a 2-piece noblesse (the AR rewards, got lucky with a hydro dmg goblet) and a 2-piece berseker set (with crit rate on the berserker mask) just to compensate for my lack of crit rate. This is now my second time getting BP and I guess I've been sleeping on Viridescent Hunt? It totally slipped my mind that it has crit rate and not only that, but it seems like the skill is so nice for keeping the enemies clumped as you batter them down with your melee form.
Lock it for your future pyro and Geo characters. Usually the off piece in your artifact set will be the element bonus so don't feel too stress about it. If you have a hydro damage bonus goblet, just use that one.
The 4 piece set is kinda wack for Chongyun because of him being a claymore user which shatters enemies and keeps them from getting frozen so basically your not going to get the extra 20% crit rate Kaeya will be the one benefiting the most with the Cryo set
@@froyd9664 well thats not 100% right The artifact says for 4 parts 20% crit for enemies that have cryo and 20% crit for enemies that are frozen chongyun got the 20% crit because of his elementskill because he deals cryo dmg your right that he dont got the 20% crit from frozen because he break the frozen but that is the point, if you break frozen with geo or a claymore you got the reaction shattered, shattered is burn dmg and ignore the enemies lvl, hp etc. What is important to know you CAN'T CRIT with shattered so it doesnt matter that he dont got the 20% crit rate from frozen because you cant crit with this elemental reaction and you WANT that reaction

This way you have more time to just dps them rather than do stuff like dodge which makes you lose a ton of dps. This also make Kaeya be the best character for dps freeze comps and he easily out dps Chongyun. Of course you still want Chongyun on Kaeya team to give resonance and have it so all attacks are cryo on Kaeya but Kaeya is the one who should be main dps.
i love this video so much just because even tho you dont have all the subs you want and its not perfect, you still show that its possible to deal tons of damage and you dont have to have super perfect artifacts in order to do big numbers
As with most youtubers, they showcase damage in abyss floor 7 (which gives you an extra 175% crti dmg) to clickbait so don't feel bad that your regular dmg isn't anywhere near that

When you first enter Childe's melee stance, that counts as using your Skill, after which you will get the Hydro 4-pc 30% DMG while in your melee stance for 15 seconds (however the reverse does not apply when exiting melee stance into bow form) -- hope that clear things up.
It does. The wording of the set bonus is "Normal and Charged attacks" if I remember correctly. When attacking in melee they're still considered to be normal and charged attacks. His melee attacks don't count as skill damage though if not aware, so Stringless and other buffs to skill damage won't really be effective.
Basically, the “elemental skill” is only the activation of the E, the water daggers are all normal and charged attacks, pretty much considered the same thing as his bow hits with added attack speed and hydro damage
@Gabriel Rodrigues i think what he means is that the 4 set will not triggers if you exit melee stance, but the damage buff still applies to his bow form as long as the 15 seconds timer is still up. So its still easier to micromanage than bolide

I am glad that hydro and cryo characters are getting their elemental sets. So now this just leaves to Geo characters with their shitty Archaic Petra set. That set is severely underwhelming compared to other elemental artifacts.

Hurts especially more when you already had good/perfect stats on your previous 2 piece nobles oblige set and 2 piece glad. I sacrificed so much crit rate and dmg already just to get the 2 piece hydro dmg bonus effect :(.
Zy0x, I made some testing and noticed the Heart of Depth 4-piece set bonus doesn't boost his melee stance as much as it should (around 20% for by build) Which makes me think where those 30% go in the final DMG formula. Also, Wanderer's Troupe 4-piece set bonus seem to not affect his melee stance at all.

Thanks for highlighting what Childe is capable of, a lot of people dismissed him as weak when he came out cause they didn't know how to use him but he's become one of my favorites.
i had 4 pcs heart of depth for my childe and didnt see any dmg boosting from artifact effect. is it a bug? the artifact effect not affect on childe melee stance? or my childe is suck?

The only thing I hate about these videos is when he's showing the dmg counter, there's no dmg caption so you have to squint your eyes trying to separate the burst from the quadrillion numbers spamming at the same time.
I went all in on that domain, wasting around 25 fragile resins and managed to get almost perfect set, the only downside being CritDmg circlet with really bad substats (went for CritDmg since I got a lot atk% substats and my rust is only R1 so I use BP Bow). Overall I have around 1,7k atk, 55% crit rate, around 155% crit dmg and around 82% hydro dmg bonus (not counting 4piece set boost). In fireworks Childe team he's just melting everything on his way now. What I also loved about farming that domain is the fact that cryo set is also pretty good, for example for Ayaka or Rosalia in the future, so even missing hydro artifacts it wasn't wasted resin.
Just wanna point out that during the with support test, one confounder on the effectiveness is the Viridescent hunt comboing with Venti's ult. The enemies take HUGE fall damage from that. You can see the 30,000+ hits in the flurry of attacks.
I'm excited to get a full set. I still have Bolide on Childe and have more urgent resin-bound priorities so it'll be a while for me to finish farming. Albedo makes Crystallize shields laughably easy btw since you don't need to switch to a shield character to get another shield, just keep attacking with Childe and you'll get a shield refresh every 2secs.
What about 2-piece Gladiator & 2-piece Heart of Depth? Any thoughts? It's the set I'm currently running on him and I'm kinda afraid of losing the 18%+ bonus 'cause he's 2k Atk right now. (My Hydro Goblet has Hydro DMG Bonus)

It's because it's very hard to have the artifact he has. You need perfect artifact and by perfect artifact i mean for example a Goblet with hydro damage for child with perfect substat meaning a focus on crit and crit damage the worst it's that all i mentioned is for one artifact you'll need other perfect main stat and substat. In summary the best thing you want is over 50% crit rate with over 120-200% crit damage the rest being more attack and elemental damage Remember i'm talking about dps for support it may vary depending his role as a support

I managed to get 168% Crit damage and 30% rate (Improving that part), 90% hydro damage bonus and lv80 Amos Bow, seems good for now.

I am glad that hydro and cryo characters are getting their elemental sets. So now this just leaves to Geo characters with their shitty Archaic Petra set. That set is severely underwhelming compared to other elemental artifacts.

Geo is a defensive support element so it makes sense why the archaic petra set is like that, but like, it's not good for dps sadly
pyro set is still the best tho
electro set could say the same thing, that 4 set effect is shitty
@@aschryu1682 Electro 4 piece set is good but it requires you to constantly utilize elemental reactions, which, along with lack of electro users who can take full advantage of it, make it appear bad.

Hurts especially more when you already had good/perfect stats on your previous 2 piece nobles oblige set and 2 piece glad. I sacrificed so much crit rate and dmg already just to get the 2 piece hydro dmg bonus effect :(.

Zy0x, I made some testing and noticed the Heart of Depth 4-piece set bonus doesn't boost his melee stance as much as it should (around 20% for by build) Which makes me think where those 30% go in the final DMG formula. Also, Wanderer's Troupe 4-piece set bonus seem to not affect his melee stance at all.

Thanks for highlighting what Childe is capable of, a lot of people dismissed him as weak when he came out cause they didn't know how to use him but he's become one of my favorites.
i had 4 pcs heart of depth for my childe and didnt see any dmg boosting from artifact effect. is it a bug? the artifact effect not affect on childe melee stance? or my childe is suck?

I got lucky and got a hydro dmg cup from the 4 pc set. Unfortunately, it maxed the defence substat so it has flat atk, 20% def, flat def and hp lmfao

The only thing I hate about these videos is when he's showing the dmg counter, there's no dmg caption so you have to squint your eyes trying to separate the burst from the quadrillion numbers spamming at the same time.
I went all in on that domain, wasting around 25 fragile resins and managed to get almost perfect set, the only downside being CritDmg circlet with really bad substats (went for CritDmg since I got a lot atk% substats and my rust is only R1 so I use BP Bow). Overall I have around 1,7k atk, 55% crit rate, around 155% crit dmg and around 82% hydro dmg bonus (not counting 4piece set boost). In fireworks Childe team he's just melting everything on his way now.
What I also loved about farming that domain is the fact that cryo set is also pretty good, for example for Ayaka or Rosalia in the future, so even missing hydro artifacts it wasn't wasted resin.
I keep getting the cyro artifact its really annoying.

Just wanna point out that during the with support test, one confounder on the effectiveness is the Viridescent hunt comboing with Venti's ult. The enemies take HUGE fall damage from that. You can see the 30,000+ hits in the flurry of attacks.
And I'm still over here where I can't get him to do more than 500 damage

Upgrade weapons and talent levels for right now. Idk what AR you ar I assume around 20-30.
I'm excited to get a full set. I still have Bolide on Childe and have more urgent resin-bound priorities so it'll be a while for me to finish farming. Albedo makes Crystallize shields laughably easy btw since you don't need to switch to a shield character to get another shield, just keep attacking with Childe and you'll get a shield refresh every 2secs.
Makes me even sadder that I didn't get Tartaglia
about three and something months later; Pulled Childe with Rosaria today. 2x10 F2P pulls :)

It's because it's very hard to have the artifact he has.
You need perfect artifact and by perfect artifact i mean for example a Goblet with hydro damage for child with perfect substat meaning a focus on crit and crit damage the worst it's that all i mentioned is for one artifact you'll need other perfect main stat and substat.
In summary the best thing you want is over 50% crit rate with over 120-200% crit damage the rest being more attack and elemental damage
Remember i'm talking about dps for support it may vary depending his role as a support
Go on artifact grind and pray to rngesus to get good rolls 😩
It's becausenyou aren't using primogems for resins like him. The key to become OP is not a 5 star weapon, but artitacts and its substat.
