" A snare means the little guys can't jump." I've been asking exactly how Snare is different from Slow for 17 MONTHS now. You're the first to give a valid answer. Thank you so much!!!
Great tutorial. I'm not a beginner, but didn't realize that spikes prevent those pesky little husks from jumping. In addition to bases, I recently realized that walls/traps are also helpful when rescuing hostages because the husks only attack for a limited time. For example, if you put walls around the bus or car that the hostage is standing on, there is a good chance that the bus or car will actually outlast the attack. Having a constructor gives you an additional advantage.
Traps is what makes the scouts a worthy player. I collect resources, drop at the objective, and then build a small trap setup that can usually win if no one bothers it other than repairs.
Thanks I’ve been over preparing with tons of traps and wasting my resources not knowing i could defend with a minimal amount of traps... My favorite thing to do with terrain though is to put a tire trap above the top of hill. It does the same thing as the puncher combined with broad side. It knocks them down the hill or stair case then the extra tires will bounce around hitting other husks.
Learning (practicing) good trap builds have allowed me to solo most of the game. Obviously teamwork is necessary for end game play for some missions, but a basic understanding can be very useful when working with teammates. I’ve seen far too many randoms getting tunnels destroyed and not even understanding it was their fault.
I think the crunch room will be better if it's 2x3,because it has a split inside the tunnel, but the exit is not in the same place,in that case the split will be useless.the diamond one works perfectly because it only has one entrance and exit.(forgive my bad English:)
@@RoundedTikTak Yeah but the beginner are coming from BR and with our new system you get to canny in a weekend, and to this point it's just run and gun to be real.
So does a tactic like this work for your Homebase? I'm in planterton storm shield 4 and just get overwhelmed every time. So do I make trap tunnels defending my storm shield and amplifiers?
Try & get others in your ssd to help you out. If you get some high level players in there, you won't need traps. But if you can't, some simple, efficient builds will (I think) do the job.
I hope noobs watch your video. even in canny I see a lot of players don't use traps or constructors I feel like I'm the only one who use constructors and traps
I hope it doesn't bother you too much, but until 4x pl 70 missions, traps and constructors are just not needed. Like, if you're doing a normal pl 70 mission or anything below, you could also just use your weapon because these husks are not going to make it any further. Of course this only counts for people having a pl about or more than the pl of the mission and not for people with low pl
Right but a b.a.s.e is still important in defense missions even if it wasn't x4 there is always a chance that something goes wrong so when you already placed base and some traps it will be a lot easier to deal with the problem. And it happened to me alot
@@Azzoz1 I do actually agree, I know how important both of them can actually be, I personally think they are just not necessary in those zones, but like you said, there can go something wrong and it's most likely your random under leveled teammates fault, because they do wether no damage, die pretty fast or even both or just ignore a spawn side.

I'm a returning player (3 year break) and this video was extremely helpful, thank you!
@AncientAstronautTheorist The earth is round.
@AncientAstronautTheorist Just like your comment!
“Now a second doesn’t seem like a lot, but you multiply that by 600, and now you’re at 600 seconds” 🤯

Thank you, I’m in twine but still a noob and this did help a lot.

I'm a beginner and you've helped me understand traps. I love traps and this takes me to the next level thank you.
Glad to hear it!
Tik tak is on fire today
This is fantastic! Thank you!
TYVM for the 3 horizontal tiles tip, I could never figure out what I was doing wrong, makes sense now tho, THANKS again!!!

I logged in 628 days today and still learned something from this. WoW

Lobber shields could've get mentioned since they spawn like crazy in mid canny already.
Mid canny is 3/4 through the game now really beginner

Great video! But audio is a bit garbled.
Btw there are rotating storms in 15 missions now
Yo that diamond trap tunnel is something I’ve never seen in the 8 months I’ve played. I am mid lvl player with a power lvl 97.
Check out his trap tunnel series. He goes in-depth on a lot of those diagonal trap tunnels. Well worth the watch.
Can anyone explain to me about the three tiles horizontal? Around 4:59? Thanks I'm still stuck there
They will not path more then 3 tiles out of their way. In that case they will just break down your walls.
@@RoundedTikTak ah thank you! I consider myself good at the game and this video taught me so much more about building!
Nice video
Advanced guide to trapping coming up next?
Dwayne Little sooo many options & varieties. I love building trap tunnels.
the “i don’t care if you have 63 bundlebusses maxed up” kills me 😭

Jen, yes all of this stuff works for SSD defenses too!
I feel my iq increasing!
What is the hero he was using
Black Knight Garridan.
Thicc Knight
Do Do Damage - Wooden Floor Spikes
Tip no 1: when trapping, build a tunnel of traps. Don’t just put up a massive barricade!
